The best restaurants serving British food in Campden-Vale Cotswold South West

Such a wonderful shop that takes you back to your childhood with old fashioned sweets plus all your classic modern day sweets……there must be over 500 different sweet lines! It’s certainly not an easy choice to decide what you’re having! They also do absolutely fantastic ice cream milkshakes…..they are a must try! My daughter loves the smoothies. American sodas & drinks available. Fresh local fudge. Locally supplied ice creams. Friendly smiling staff a truly wonderful experience

We spent a fab 24 hours at Dormy House. It's difficult to overstate just what a class act this whole place is from top to bottom. Meticulously stylish interiors, impeccably polite and endlessly helpful service from everyone you meet. A luxurious spa where you leave all your worries at the door and relax. The rooms are comfortable and the whole vibe is unstuffy but attentive. We've stayed a few times and will hopefully do so again soon. If you want a relaxed, pampered break from the world outside, I can't recommend Dormy House highly enough.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Me and my partner attended the butchers arms while on our trip to the Cotswolds, everything was going really great until we were turned on by the locals who proceeded to try and attack us early hours. There was a girl who was threatening to break my fingers and instead of helping us the man who I assume owns the pub watched and allowed this all to unfold. Bullies.

No bread for sandwiches but said they could do the homemade quiche which was listed as coming with salad and bread. It may as well have come on a side plate, a very small piece of soggy quiche, a pathetic amount of iceberg lettuce with 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes cut into small pieces and half a slice of bread is not a lunch.

A hidden gem within the wonderful garden centre. Bob welcomed me in ( having never met me before) When I asked if I could sit on a table for four he looked up and said "of course you may " Even though at that point there was only me. The menu was appealing and all food delicious and fresh , even pizzas were made there in front of you. Before my friends arrived I asked for a glass of wine , non of this what size would you like just a perfectly chilled glass of sauvignon blanc.............scrumptious. The three of us had a varied menu ........pizzas, pancakes ( handmade by Bob ) with maple syrup and bacon.Totally delicious cannot recommend it more highly. When you come out of Decades Tearoom you can collect a box of fresh vegetables from the shop adjacent. Loved it

Very disappointing dinner with friends. The french onion soup was watery with no depth of flavour. Looked as if the onions hadn't been caramelised. It came with cheese on toast served on the side which was rather bizarre but, had they served it correctly with the bread within the soup, the soup would have been soaked up entirely as there was so little of it. And it was lukewarm probably because it was served in a shallow soup bowl which meant such a small amount lost all heat on the journey from kitchen to table. The mains appeared and then disappeared while we were still eating our starters. When they returned, they were stone cold so had to be sent back. When the mains were served again, I would guess the lamb had been cooked from scratch but the pasta and venison pudding seemed to have been reheated. Both were dry. I then ordered affogato for dessert on the basis that no-one could make a mess of that. The icecream came out slightly melted and the jug of coffee was stone cold. Well, to be fair, the jug was warm, the coffee was cold! Not sure how they managed that. I will say that Johann who served us was very apologetic and handled the situation well. We didn't complain. We were staying at the hotel for 24 hours and didn't want to spend that precious time talking to hotel staff instead of each other and since Johann told us he didn't have the power to refund, we decided to just pay and leave.

Went to pick up some lovely fresh veg and had a gluten free cheese scone, hot chocolate and gluten free cake. Best place around for managing cross contamination: separate tools & preparation area for gluten free, staff were very knowledgeable about coeliac disease. And cheese scones & cake were delicious. I've been multiple times and will be returning! I would highly recommend

I had dinner alone in a really friendly restaurant. I had a couple of starters to keep room for the delicious pudding! Heritage tomatoes with goats cheese were fab and the dusted squid was really perfectly done. The staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Summer pudding to finish was one of the best I have had. Delicious!

I was having my motorhome serviced in the village and had a whole day to kill. The leaflet was in the waiting area so I gave it a try. Lovely full English breakfast, cooked perfectly, very nice quality coffee and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Ordered a second coffee and hung a round for a bit with no feeling like you weren't welcome. It was so nice and the service was first class and came with a smile that a added a toasted teacake and a third coffee to the bill and returned for them early afternoon! Very reasonably priced indeed and an all-round lovely experience!

I had lunch at the Seagrave Arms today, in the lovely village of Weston Subedge. The place is truly wonderful, a lovely dining room with a log burner and a welcoming bar where the owner greets you as you come through the door. The food would grace a fine dining establishment but not at those prices, it really is great value. The service is excellent, you must go there, the Seagrave Arms is a lovely pub.

Zoe and michael were outstanding, the level of care and attention given is second to none. The decor is beautifully decorated with raw stone and nook areas, with a brilliant choice of dishes, then breakfast was a great mini continental and hot breakfast from full English or full vegetarian to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs you will not be disappointed one bit, In fact the staff alone is a reason to return that's before you try the chefs cuisine. Or an brilliant night's sleep in the lovely rooms I had room 6 it was brilliantly done old meets new, really well done, I guarantee you will return . Thank you Zoe and Michael for being so welcoming to a Scotsmen in the cotswolds l, you both know your lane and by are you noth excelling l, keep being you! #WinningTeam Neil the landlord was on site daily had the pleasure of chatting with him, well done on picking the right staff that love the business you've worked so hard over the 25 years to deliver with the same passion as yourself.

Excellent pub lunch. Just had a very fine beef roast at £21. Wine struggles a bit, could use an update. Come here after your walk to Hidcote. Ample parking in lot and in front. Get a pint after your walk - outdoor seats but not covered from rain. Butty 🍻

Had dinner here this evening and it was wonderful. I had the Lamb Shank. Lots of sides. My partner had the pie and my daughter had the chilli. All very tasty. The ladies working the front of house were incredibly friendly. Very welcoming and gave my young dog lots of fuss. Many thanks for a lovely evening. Great food so tasty.

We stayed at the hotel with our dog so we ate here. All the staff were lovely, and enjoyed pandering to our hound. We were also looked after very nicely. The starters! AMAZING. Top quality food. The scotch egg was the best I’ve had. We were happy with the starters on both nights. We had the steak for the first evening and it was cooked and presented perfectly. The menu changed slightly over the two days so we had plenty of options. Congratulations to the chef and the team

We were a large party of 17 for a birthday lunch. We made a pre order and also made some changes on the day which was not a problem. The food was delicious, on time and we felt very well looked after by Steve. Drinks were flowing and didn’t feel rushed etc. would highly recommend. Pub is always busy and it has such a nice atmosphere with the loveliest staff. It’s not easy looking after a large party and couldn’t fault anything. Thank you Bakers arms.. we will defo be back again!
