This is a really welcome, beautifully renovated addition to the area. A warm and friendly local with stone walls and open fires. Food is very good, modern pub style at a very reasonable price for The Cotswolds. Staff are very friendly and efficient and the clientele are a great combination of locals at the bar, people eating and walkers, cyclists etc calling in for a pint. Been several times since it reopened and all have been good.

We visited this pub for dinner twice last year and loved it. We returned this year and although the pub looks lovely and very friendly we were very disappointed with the menu. The only thing I would eat on the menu was a burger or steak and I’m not particularly a fussy eater. We felt the menu was trying to be something that it wasn’t sadly.

A character country pub, which I believe changed hands in August 2024. We enjoyed our lunch, and I can recommend the fish pie. Others in our family group had the duck, which was also very good. We will be back the next time we are on the area.

Pretty village pub, gets 5/5 for charm. Alas it ends there. We waited 55 minutes for our stater and only 3 tables had ordered food. Had to ask twice for cutlery, twice for apple sauce, they ran out of horseradish sauce (first serving on Sunday at 12pm) and black pepper. Also forgot to serve stuffing. Absolute shambles.

We we're told when we arrived the cook was un loading the beer lorry! So may be a wait for food, I ordered hand carved ham sandwich, the ham was out of a packet plastic ham, just the one slither too! Little over cooked tastless chip, tiny salad drowned in honey mustard dressing (that I don't like)! Visiting the loo was shocking, toilet seats hanging off! Toilets we're dirty and no soap!! Just awful , avoid. I wish I had known how bad this place was.

We dined at The Bakers Arms twice this week. Our entire family enjoyed the beer, food and atmosphere. The chicken and leek pie and the treacle tart were particularly tasty. There is a kids menu and small toy/book shelf. Lots of friendly regulars. Bar keep and servers were friendly and patient with us. Terrace on the side plus beer garden further back. Small room but with some big windows and decent light. I suggest guests try to contact them at least 24 hours in advance to book for a meal. As with many pubs in small towns, the meal hours vary with staff availability and how busy the pub is, the hours listed on websites are understandably not set in stone.

24th June 2023. £9.50 for a pint of lager and a pint of lime and soda. Seriously? And apart from waiting an age to be served the barman was devoid of any idea of how to treat a customer. How do these pubs expect to survive charging ££s for some water with a dash of lime cordial.

The staff/landlady were very helpful after one of our group accidently slipped on a step at the pub entrance and injured himself, and because of that, I feel guilty to write that unfortunately this isn't a pub I'd return to in a rush. We sat in a dining lounge / room next to the kitchen which wasn't very warm, and in effect was more an office / storage room, than somewhere to sit and eat (the other tables in the bar area were all occupied). The coffees and hot beverages were mild to tepid at best and this was pointed out to the lad that served us. His apology was somewhat half hearted. Probably should have pointed it out earlier before we consumed them to ask for replacement hot coffees. By then we'd already ordered food, and actually the scran was OK. But throughout, the service was just not very 'welcoming'. Maybe we were there on an off day. Huge rear garden, the back of which is the best place to get any phone reception.

The ale and staff were great. As for food when we arrived they had no steak so that's 50% of the menu gone, and also no Cottage pie. I had the cheese burger which was as touch as leather and seemed like an Iceland special beef patty, the chips were much better. Salad was good but had way tomuch vinaigrette. The price was 16£ which should of been more like 9 considering the quality of the burger.

The lunchtime menu at this pub contains no surprises consisting mainly of staples such as sausage, fish and gammon all served with chips. My relatives all seemed reasonably happy with their meals but I must advise anyone thinking of having the cottage pie to choose something else. I picked this and I have to say it was truly awful. Lurking under a pile of mashed potato the filling consisted mainly of semi raw onion and was certainly the strangest attempt at this dish I have ever come across. It was served without any gravy and was unedible. The service was fine but if you are not a dog lover you should probably go somewhere else as there were several of them in the dining area.

Lovely pub, unspoilt and traditional unlike so many places these days. Warm welcome by the staff and the locals “banter” was nice and friendly. Good menu choice and food was enjoyed by most of our party. When asked by a member of staff if everything was ok, we just mentioned that we had been plagued by a lot of flies whilst eating which had landed on some of our food and therefore we had been put off finishing our meal. The lady just said “oh dear” or something to that effect. We do appreciate it was a warm evening and therefore the door had been left open but unfortunately this meant that flies were coming in all the time. Previously to this, the barmaid had acknowledged this and was heard speaking to others about the problem. At no point did we ask or expect any discount, just a simple understanding of the situation would have been appreciated. When leaving the pub, on the way out we passed the kitchen and heard the lady who we had mentioned this to say to a colleague “ well I’ve got nothing to apologise for...” and started to criticise us for saying something which I thought was slightly disrespectful and a careless thing to do as the kitchen door was wide open right by the exit. I felt that it was a shame we had to hear this.

We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday night. The landlord made us very welcome and sorted out a table for us as we had not made a reservation. Can highly recommend the loaded potato skins with caramelised onions and the Steak and Ale pie. Lovely atmosphere with friendly locals.

26 of our walking group descended on them and they coped with us admirably. Admittedly we pre-ordered, but the food was served efficiently and was scrumptious. A lovely cosy place to collapse in after a long walk. We felt very welcome and I will cetainly go back.

Booked lunch here for a family gathering to celebrate the death of my Mum 12 months ago who came from Campden as did my Dad as they frequented the pub together from time to time.

We walked up from Chipping Campden on a cold and blustery day. We received a very warm welcome and had a chat with a couple of the locals propping up the bar with their pint’s. We enjoyed fish cooked in beer batter with chips and peas, absolutely delicious at a very reasonably price. So nice to find a good traditional pub serving traditional pub food rather than a Gastro pub.

Had a lovely meal at this very welcoming country pub. The landlord made us very welcome and made a fuss over our little dog.

We visited this pub for lunch whilst staying in Chipping Campden (its approx 2 miles away) The food was great. Excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans plus plenty for meat and fish eaters too. It was so good we returned the following evening and had another excellent meal. The landlord was very friendly as were the other members of staff. We had a lovely evening and wouldn't hestate in recommending this little gem to anyone

Dropped by for lunch while exploring Chipping Camden. We loved the generous servings Sunday roast with dollops of gravy and vegetables. The food was so delicious that we ordered a warm dessert, which was perfect for the dreary weather.

Usted no será decepcionado.

Small friendly pub with a good selection of beers. Cosy bar and pleasant garden outside. Stopped for a great pint mid walk and certainly would stop by again if we are in the area.

We got a tip that if you’re going through the beautiful Cotswold village Broad Campden, do visit the pub Bakers Arms. The have won a number of prices, for instance from CAMRA. So we had a go, and we did the right thing. The inside of a classic countryside with a number of excellent beers and good service. Worth the stop.

Served a Biarra Moretti, didn’t look right, went back to the bar to complain, was told there was nothing wrong with the pint and no chance of changing. Batman very rude.

We had a stay for two nights with two rooms, dinner on evening one and two breakfasts. Positive Points 1. Quality steak 2. Delicious mackerel starter Negative Points 1. Cold and unwelcoming 2. Dirty tables and cutlery 3. Very long wait for food and nobody checked if everything was ok 4. Different change for same drinks every time. 5. No staff....one person does everything! 6. Filthy bedrooms, thick with dust and cobwebs 7. Rooms full of broken items ...mirrors, blinds 8. No slip mat provided for elderly people, so unable to have a shower (my mum was told to throw a towel in the bath!) 9. Extremely old mattress, lumpy and uncomfortable, old duvet with lumps and bumps 10. Linen bundles and beer barrels left outside rooms and at bottom of the stairs...huge fire and safety risk 11. Limited breakfast and very small quantity 12. Coffee and tea not restocked, dirty cups left in room and bed not made 13. Bathroom was rusty, filthy and hadn't been cleaned. Toilets were still dirty from previous guests.
