Awful. Walked through the door into an almost empty cafe to be told that if there were more than 4 of us, we weren't welcome. Went instead to Leaf and Bean in Broadway who were brilliant! There are great options in Long Marsdon, Broadway, Ebrington etc - don't bother wasting your time on this place

A very welcoming host. My advice is to sit back and enjoy the ride. A smart, clean and modern café with a varied and interesting menu packed full of top quality produce. We had tea, coffee and cake. The cake was lime and passion fruit and it was 10 out of 10 yummy. Will return soon for the breakfast that promises to be one of the best I've ever had.

A warm welcome on arrival by Bob the owner who prides himself on freshly cooked fare with the best quality ingredients. He recommended his asparagus and cheese quiche ( “secret recipe without salt and pepper where the types of cheese used are what add the saltiness” Bob told us ) with salad. The quiche didn’t disappoint. A generous portion. It was absolutely delicious, filled with flavour and definitely no salt or pepper required. The texture and pastry were perfect. Friends had their same favourite; bacon and egg sandwich which arrived with a farm vibrant orange egg yolk. Bob sells his fare and fresh farm produce including these Cacklebean eggs in his farm store next door, along with his homemade gin. We had a taster of the orange gin which yes, tasted of fresh orange and so flavour filled it could be had neat. Thanks Bob, Duncan and your team of happy ladies for a friendly and delicious experience. I will be back for that creamy, yummy quiche! Definitely worth a stop!!!

On holiday with my mom and we quite literally found Decades Cafe by accident. I struggled to find the road to our cottage and turned around. I could not be happier we did. Not only was this the first meal we had, it was the best of our trip. Everything was freshly made and the quality unmatched. So much so, that we went back for a second time. What really made the meal for us was the phenomenal conversation and disposition of head chef Bob. Thank you so much for an absolutely lovely experience!

We were greeted by very friendly staff, who seated us in a perfect spot by the window. The service was friendly, and prompt and the atmosphere was pleasant and homely. We had such a great breakfast here at Decades Tearoom, I ordered a full English breakfast and my partner the full English breakfast bap. The bread was fresh and thickly sliced, the portion sizes were GREAT, you could tell the quality of the food was to a high standard. I feel this was very reasonably priced for an independent local business in the current climate. Decades tearoom is an asset to mickleton, a community hub and a real necessity to a small village. We will definitely be back.

Over priced , for a pot of tea for two with one teabag in the pot and two sausage rolls, £18.00, absolutely extortionate. Not worth the money, it was cheap to put one tea bag in the pot and the sausage rolls were nothing special. It was only for a snack spot. We will not be going there again. Go if you are willing to pay over the odds.

What a find! We had the Ploughman’s Platter to share. Well it was huge.. it came with two types of ham (the Horsehoe ham was fantastic), eggs, lovely cold sausage, pickles made by Bob, lovely cheeses. There was so much that my friend took the rest home in a box. Coffee was excellent, as were the cakes & service. I’m gluten-free but there were options for me. Lovely welcome & atmosphere- we will definitely be back. There’s even a farm shop next door where you can buy Bob’s flavoured gins, his homemade jams, jellies & pickles, fully loaded pizzas, quiches & pies. The sausage rolls are legendary! We were staying in Mickleton and were looking for somewhere for a hearty breakfast before our Sunday walk. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely and attentive owner Bob. Charismatic and welcoming, Bob is someone that takes pride in what he does and this showed throughout our visit. We both had a couple of coffees and the full English, adapting to our needs, Bob was only too willing to replace the tomatoes with extra mushrooms. Whilst eating we became aware of the arrival of a group of cyclists who had come from Coventry, Bob politely and professionally asked them to leave. In these difficult times it is great to see that everyone is doing their bit to keep people safe. Thank you Bob and team.

Be aware this is a small establishment, only 2 preparing food, they struggle to cope with large groups obviously. The man more or less refused to take some of the orders as they would take too long to prepare and was very rude to my friend when she asked a question about her meal, making an uncalled for comment about how her husband put up with her. We stopped here during a recent Sunday cycle. I cycle past a lot and haven’t stopped before. I was aware that some cyclists have had poor experiences but we could not have been made more welcome. Another cyclist who is a regular was also in the cafe and spoke very highly of the cafe and its owner and staff. The cafe is small and for understandable reasons it’s tricky for them if large groups arrive unannounced, especially during busy periods. However I can’t imagine a warmer welcome for those who park their bikes responsibly and who either call in advance or arrive in small groups.Oh, and by the way. Coffee and cakes are amazing. Be sure to try the homemade marmalade!

I don’t know Bob in any way other than the owner of Decades. I have been coming to this lovely cafe for the last couple of years with cycling Groups as a Breeze ride leader. I’m sure he won’t mind me saying it is a small cafe. Whenever I have taken more than 4 of us I text Bob and confirm we’re going (which I do myself so i know it’s done and so I get a reply confirming he’s received it. We all know how rubbish IT can be). We have always had great service and wonderful, freshly cooked food. Today I ordered a jacket spud and he warned me it would be 15 mins and it was worth the wait. The moral of the story is do your own booking and expect to be turned away if you turn up with a group big enough to fill nearly every seat then saying there’s another 10 on the way when he already had 8 other cyclist who had booked in!! Believe it or not cafe owners don’t open for the convenience of cyclists and the way it’s going I wouldn’t blame him for banning cycling groups altogether which would be a huge shame.

Popped in here yesterday on the way back from Chipping Campden for some lunch with my daughter. This is quite a small tea room on the side of the Garden Center which serves wonderful fresh from lovey local produce and all cooked to order. We had a lovely quiche and some homemade coleslaw and salad which was delicious, a toastie and some fabulous coffee and cake. I observed other wonderful looking dishes coming out of the tiny kitchen and it all looked inviting and it is good value for money. There is also a pretty decked area outside and a pretty little veg and flower shop attached. All in all if you want a relaxed breakfast, leisurely lunch or delicious afternoon tea then I would definitely recommend it. It is not 'fast food' but the staff are really lovely and cheerful and the service is on a par with other tearooms in the local area I would say, having tried the Clopton Farm Cafe further up the road on a number of of occasions and most of the tea rooms in Chipping Campden which tend to charge higher 'tourist' prices.

Three of us cyclists turned up and were served freshly cooked great food within 20 mins without needing to book. There is one cook from what I could make out so it would, like anywhere else, be sensible to pre-book and not just turn up if there is a big group of you. If you have the courtesy to do this, you won’t find they’re too busy to suddenly take an unexpected booking for a significant amount of their total cover space, and you’ll be given a warm welcome. Sadly I’ve found many cafes have become resentful of cyclists due to bad feedback on this site and are no longer serving cycling groups. I hope this doesn’t become one of them.

Would only serve us tea cakes or similar, sausage or bacon sandwiches were definitely not an option he was prepared to allow us…that was what we had gone for. However, he seemed quite happy to serve them to other guests as I saw them being prepared as we were leaving. There is an awful lot of good quality competition in the area and as another reviewer has said, we’ll go to one of those next time. It’s a shame as the female cook on our previous visit seemed to comprehend customer service.

This is a lovely little cafe at a garden centre, good cake and coffee and from what we saw a good menu and standard, the cafe is small and limited extraction so we left smelling of the food they were cooking?

Well, what can i say about Decades?! It is a lovely, friendly place with a happy ambiance. The staff, especially Bob the owner, are lovely and always happy to help. We had one of Bobs amazing homemade soups with a sandwich and it was divine. There are 10 or more soups to choose from and all sound fantastic. We shall definately be back again very soon. Everyone should try Decades if in the area!!!

I've read other reviews about this tea room but I can honestly say that we've always had good service. Food is freshly cooked so there is a wait, but it's worth it. The breakfast is served until 11.30 and it's very good

We had an excellent family tea at Decades. Great quality food and portion size with fast and friendly service. Activities for children available and a relaxed atmosphere. Can recommend the ham & leek pie and jackets. Thank you Bob! We will be back again. 👍🏻

We have been a few times. They have recently added an outside covered deck. Their Apple Pie ( made with Heritage Apples and a mix of Puff & Shortcrust Pastry) is one of the best we have had out. They also do really good coffee and hot chocolate. You may have to wait a bit at busy times but the pie is worth the wait.

We visited lambing up the road and it was far too busy so we popped in here. Very attentive staff, amazing looking eggs and all freshly cooked. I had the jacket potato, beans and cheese which was reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Visited tearoom. The decor and layout looked promising and upon entry the chef was friendly and welcoming. We were told to sit down and someone would be over to take the order. The tea rooms had 6 customers already seated and did not look overly busy given that there were two staff members on duty. We waited 15 minutes no one came to our table.

The full breakfast looked challenge with emphasis on ‘full’ then all the toast arrived couldn’t eat for a day after this. Bob seems to serve only the best quality ingredients. There’s a very comfortable and warm ambience and the prices are very reasonable. They also sell home made preserves; I can highly recommend this cafe and the Seville Marmalade.

Known locally as Bobs this cute cafe is wonderful for a relaxed lunch or afternoon tea and cakes .. the atmosphere is extremely friendly and Bobs passion for his homemade food and his customer’s is apparent from the first time you visit. Homemade soup today was roast tomato A**** I fancied half a toasted cheese sandwich with it which wasn’t on the menu but no problem for Bob. My parents had the pie of the day with peas and new potatoes.. their favourite and also homemade by Bob . Can’t recommend this lovely cafe enough.. everyone that walks through the door soon becomes part of the Decade community.

We’ve been to Decades tearoom for coffee and lunch on a few occasions, it really is just so lovely. The Flat White coffee is the best I’ve had and the choice of cakes etc. is brilliant. The menu on the blackboard listing lunch choices makes you wish you’d got there nearer lunch time rather than mid morning! Bob is so welcoming and clearly puts so much love and attention into everything he has done creating Decades, it really is a labour of love, you can just tell. It’s a family affair, I always think if the person owning it is running it, with their family, there’s a lot more invested in the business than money.

What an amazing find for us on our way to Stratford upon Avon. We stopped for a cuppa and was enticed by the bacon being cooked. We went for a bacon bap and sausage one. Well, we weren’t disappointed at all. The bap was the freshest we’ve ever had and the filling just as yummy. We both had tea and we got refills for nothing! Not many places that will give you a free refill. We met the owners who were absolutely lovely people and met the lovely Lilly. Thank you Anne Marie for the for going the extra mile. We will definitely return when in the area. Hope to see you in Norfolk some time soon.
