All round a very professional and enjoyable lunch that made our day such a memorable occasion. Thanks!

As visitors from the Deep South (Bournemouth) we fell upon the The Kings Arm and were jolly pleased that we did. We booked a table for our Tuesday night visit and on our early arrival the restaurant was packed. So ensconced at the bar we enjoyed drinks while conversing with the staff and locals. All as friendly as can be. We dined and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and wine. Our only wish as we left was that The Kings Arms was not in Bournemouth! Special thanks to the wonderfully efficient and friendly, Tim, Scarlet and Simone, thank-you, thank-you and once more thank-you. Peter and Janet

We stayed in an AirBnB nearby for 6 nights and before we arrived we were glad that there was a “lovely looking pub” nearby. Fast forward a week and we realised we’d spent 3 evenings and an afternoon in there. The staff, food, service and landlord all deserve 5 stars but the garden & outdoor bar also deserves a mention. It’s a wonderful maze of covered huts, comfy furniture and hidden corners. What a gem of a place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our second visit for dinner as we had an enjoyable experience back in May 2024. Booking an evening dinner at short notice for a night in September, just 4 months later should have been a certainty for another successful visit and we were happy to be fitted in. However, I ordered roasted cod and it was disgusting being overloaded with salt to the point that it was completely inedible. I took two mouthfuls and left the rest which is a rarity for me as my tolerance for less than great food is very high and I usually clear my plate. When asked by the poor waitress if everything was to our satisfaction I had to complain which I never normally do. My partner's dinner was satisfactory but nothing special. We remarked that we could have prepared something better ourselves with little effort. What left a taste bitter than the salt was the fact that when we left to pay nothing was knocked off the cost. We would need some careful convincing to return again, sad to say.

Visit with seven friends on a motoring holiday in the Cotswolds for dinner, there was plenty choice with additional specials on the board, those that had starters enjoyed the generous portions but as a result had difficulty eating all their mains. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed it and booked a table for the Friday night. Second visit just as good and we were made to feel welcomed for returning. If in the area would definitely return.

Love this pub, had delicious home made Broccoli soup today, served with toasted sourdough and whipped butter, followed by Baked Brill with a topping on fish of capers and onions, served with broccoli tips and new potatoes. Definitely recommend. All food I've eaten in this pub mostly appears cooked from scratch. I think it's good value. My soup was 6.50, and the fish was £24.00. My brother's roast beef dinner was £18.00 served with veg, and his starter of Mackerel pate, ( which was also very delicious) was £9.00. I like the pub, its a lovely building, great inside with a very beautiful garden and parking space. Staff lovely too. Highly recommend

Every year we spend a week in Broadway as out late summer break. This is second year we have been to The Kings Arms. We had a booking for Sunday lunch, our table was ready on arrival. It’s not a criticism but it’s worth getting there early as parking can be an issue due to the popularity. We both had the roast beef carvery and dispensed with starters. The waiter was charming with a dry sense of humour and the food came quite promptly. The portions were ample, the meat was succulent and flavoursome and vegetable accompaniment was cooked to perfection. A lovely plate of food and topped off with a perfect Yorkshire pudding. I had the localised Eton Mess which was a sumptuous delight, My wife had the frangipan tart, pure perfection. In conclusion, this is at the top level of a British pub carvery. Fabulous ambiance and authentic decor for surrounding. Thank you to the staff and management. Next time could you have a pear cider?? The waiter will understand

We really enjoyed our time at the kings arms, even though the service was a bit messy (one chef was sick I think). We ordered two starters, two Sunday roasts (beef) lamb chops and a burger. The Sunday roasts came after 10 mins. The meat was super tender, overall we really enjoyed the dish, even though we ate on our own as the other mains and starters arrived after 20 mins. The burger was good, and so were the lamb chops, perhaps there was too much sauce in the latter, and the taste of the lamb kind of got lost a bit. And the sauce had a little bit too oil. As starters we got the grilled halloumi, which was ok, and the grilled hispi cabbage that in my opinion was good but again too much oil and I don't think the white sauce and crispy onions were complementing the dish as they should. Not much offer in terms of dessert so we didn't order any. The place is really nice and massive, with lots of space in the garden as well. Good value for money.

The Kings Arms is a delightful pub-restaurant nestled in the northern part of the Cotswolds. We chose this spot partly for its convenient and spacious parking, which allowed our dog to rest comfortably in the car. This pub is now up there with my all-time favourites. The Cotswolds Best bitter was exceptional—rich and flavourful, with a perfect balance that made every sip a pleasure. I opted for the fish, chunky chips, and mushy peas, which were generous in size, great value, and delicious. The ambience is cosy and inviting, making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The traditional interior, complete with wooden furnishings and a fireplace, adds to the warm atmosphere. The beer garden is outstanding—nestled within trees, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink, especially on a sunny day. The outdoor space is truly a gem. This pub truly embodies the quintessential English pub experience—highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

Picked this pub as we were local at Hidcote Gardens, Location and building are outstanding with a lovely décor inside for our perusal and delight. I must say the food was absolutely gorgeous, however the service let us down. After receiving our meals we were asked for sauces, condiments etc, the sauces we asked for never came! Had to ask another member of staff to assist. The same happened AGAIN after the meal we eaten, "do you want to see the desert menu?" and of course we replied yes.....it never came, had to fetch that myself . I do appreciate that folks have off days but really, waiting staff need to focus and do better....we do expect more. Apart from that I still would recommend this place, so don't let our "isolated" experience put you off, the food to good to miss...

Unfortunately for us Brazilians, it is very difficult to find food that suits our taste. Their dishes and cuisine are very different, our heavier and fattier ones are not appetizing for those who have a South American diet. Prices are average, around 17 pounds per person, which is normal here in England. Its strong point is the outdoor area, which is very pleasant, well maintained and has space for children to have fun. Another strong point is the parking next to the restaurant.

I’m dismayed that after being offered the last table in the restaurant and ordering my food, I’m told I’ll need to move to the bar in 15 minutes as someone has booked it. In this situation the correct action is to tell the 2nd customer the table will be free in 30 minutes and offer them a seat by the bar until then. It’s restaurant management basics, if my staff had done this on my shift I’d be having stern words.

Very friendly landlord - new in from a month ago. Ignore old reviews and make this a stop off next time you’re in the cotwolds. Dog friendly pub.

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner and breakfast on our stay. The waiter was very attentive and entertaining and the food fantastic. A lovely bonus to a wonderful venue.
