Farmhouse deli a passion for food in Cotswold

Food was OK, however meat was like warm and very greasy compared to the nice food I receive usually. Despite asking for specific salad items in the order due to being allergic to onion, the salad contained onion which ruined the meal for me as it was bland as might as well have ordered donner meat and chips in hindsight. Recommendation would be to read the order requirements, as there are others with allergies similar to me and using something else to contain orders that will keep it as nice as you'd receive it in the restaurant. Hopefully next time will be nice as usual but would like to pass on constructive feedback to help, not slate as I'm all for small businesses to do well!

I live 1.6 miles from Best Grill which is a 6 minute drive from my house yet delivery still took 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time I ordered. When the food did finally arrive (at 9:30pm) it was stone cold and dripping in oil. All the driver could say was “traffic was bad” and that it had been “a really busy night tonight”. Not good enough and I will never order from there again. Do not order from Best Grill unless you want your night ruined.

I love going here. The breakfast is delicious and so are the homemade sausage rolls. On a cold day you can't beat a takeaway hot pasty. The staff are always friendly and polite. I love the choice of cheese,sausages,scotch eggs and cooked Meats in the deli. There's nothing not to like here.

I've not had food from here in bout 20 yrs,I thought I'd try it again but was disappointed, the chips were cold and very chewy, the lamb doner wasn't nice even my cats wouldn't eat it,the salad wasn't much better either,the best part was the bottle of coke I ordered

Very expensive for what you get. £7 for a toasted tuna and cheese sandwich. No side salad or side with it. Will not be going back. Very expensive.

My favourite deli in Gloucestershire, the home made gloucester sausages are the best.

Very late and chips soggy sauces opened and all over packing.

So I ordered 2 lamb shish meals for the second time because it was really nice the day before. I didnt think the food could get any nicer but it did. Ordered a large and the portions were great. The flavours were perfect. The meat was tender, pitta bread nice and warm and the salad and sauces were a perfect addition. Will definitely order from here again next time I am in the area. Thanks!

I usually buy a hot takeaway and food from the deli counter. Never had any problems with the food or service.

I had a chicken mayo and bacon doorstop sandwich on brown with lettuce and tomato. It was quality ingredients which really filled me up. It was £5.90 and worth every penny.

Ordered a bacon and egg sandwich Well cooked bacon, runny egg One out of two 2 full slices of bread One slice of bacon cut in half . I had to slice it up and spread it out hoping to get a piece in each bite

Food was lacking seasoning. They give shop bought pitta bread and not the authentic Turkish bread. No hummus given. Salad had no olive oil.

Amazing food delivery was delayed but its fine it happens

Normally this is a reliable staple but we felt more than a little let down this time. The prawns were lukewarm, tricky I know to keep warm but we're only 5 mins away, the dinner arrived in very good time and everything else was hot. But the iskender was the disappointment - we have had this before and at £15 it's usually a bigger than normal box, it's normally enough for two so we share. This one was much smaller, the same size container as the rice, and was quite sharp to taste. We understand that ingredients have increased in price and have seen the normal doner kebabs go from too big to reasonable and that I understand. But this is twice the price of a kebab and was not value for money. So while I will continue to get other dishes from you, I will not be getting the iskender again.

Normally excellent but tonight not so good .. no pita breads, onion pieces in rice which was not good and the chicken was very fatty . Very un- usual as up until now it’s been so much better..

Normally I love the food from this place, I dont get kebabs from anywhere else, but today I ordered a mixed Kofte and Doner and the doner meat was ok but there was something not right about the kofte, as soon as I went to eat it I noticed it did not smell right, thinking it might be a change of spices I started to eat it and it tasted awful, I had to spit it out.

Food didn't arrive until 21:53 but the restaurant marked it as delivered before it had arrived. Food was cold as according to just eat it was with the driver from 21:17

Would not order from them again, I found a piece of plastic inside my burger.

We were visiting Cheltenham one Saturday and came across this Cafe whilst in the High Street. It was very busy, but there was a table available so we thought we would try it for a brunch. Very eclectic menu, but I tried the Yorkshire Pudding wrap with turkey, stuffing and cranberry, with a side salad (and a pot of gravy!). It was really good! My partner opted for the more conventional jacket potato with cheese, beans and bacon, which was also excellent. Friendly waiting staff and very generous helpings, all at a bargain price. Very impressed.

Stopped to get my husband a pasty. So had coffee also. Then looked at their wide range of produce. Amazing. Bought some Tewkesbury sausages to try.

Set on the High Street This is not your average delicatessen or butchers. Luckily, we discovered it on a flying visit to town and wish we had a shop like this near us. Everything they do is absolutely top quality and we stocked up on their home-made sausages and bacon For a visit to family. This was extremely well received and, despite it being some of the best quality you could imagine, it didn’t seem expensive at all. In fact, it was so good, we treated ourselves to a full breakfast in the café part of the shop and this was fantastic too. absolutely huge, full of top quality products and filled us up for the day. All the staff in the shop were fabulous as well and I really hope we can get back there in the not too distant future.

The donner was very dry and didn’t taste right! I asked for no red cabbage and I got it.

The food was decent overall. The rice was very nice and the portion sizes were good however the lamb and chicken could’ve been a bit more tender. The man who delivered was very kind 😊 I would order from this place again.

I have only good things to say!! The burgers were HUGE and delicious! The small chips was huge, crispy and hot. I ordered my new favourite dish, the chicken with rice, vegetables and salad. Can't get enough of the mushrooms cooked in sauce! This restaurant is the ONE!!! The rest of Just Eat can disappear lol

This was the best meal of this type I have ever eaten!!!! The mushrooms in sauce were a delight, there were carrots, peas, broccolli and a side salad which I could self select which was great. Normally grilled chicken and rice can be dry but the sauce gave it texture and such a delicious taste. Amazing meal! Definitely want to order from this restaurant again!

Donner meat was luke warm? Salad was a bit soggy, too much lettuce no pickled chilli? Chilli sauce was substandard and not enough for a large meal.

Wanted the lamb doner well done… barely cooked.

Food was cold when it arrived so not the best to eat cold kebab! Also to charge £4 for a tiny slice of chocolate cake is ridiculous and even worse as I bought 2 so got absolutely ripped off. Should take Woodford out of the delivery area as food was so cold by the time we got it was pointless and a total waste of £28.
