No bread for sandwiches but said they could do the homemade quiche which was listed as coming with salad and bread. It may as well have come on a side plate, a very small piece of soggy quiche, a pathetic amount of iceberg lettuce with 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes cut into small pieces and half a slice of bread is not a lunch.

Stopped here for coffee and cake on a cycling tour (as we did last year) and couldn’t be more pleased. A friendly welcome, prompt service, great selection of drinks and cakes and a quiet seating area out the back where we could relax with our bikes in full view. And well maintained public loos over the road. Definitely the best option for cyclists passing through Chipping Campden!

What a lovely little secret hidden in the heart of Chipping Campden. A lot of people don’t know it’s there (hint: behind Robert Walsh’ ) but if you love heart warming coffee, delicious cakes and fabulous service then you have to give it a visit. The difference here is that this is also a crystal shop that sells beautiful stones, crystals, books, and oracle cards that suit every budget including plenty of options in the ‘pocket money’ range. If you want hot food there are plenty of other lovely choices in the village but a suggestion if I may…. come here for the ‘after coffee and cake’. A beautiful little Cotswold secret… service with a smile and a crystal in your pocket to keep your company on the journey home. What more could you want!!

This was always the go-to place for cyclists visiting Chipping Campden. My wife and I cycled there today and it is a shadow of its former self. The coffee was OK but not brilliant. There were a few cakes on offer which were pretty tasteless to be honest. No savoury dishes at all so our plans for a nice lunch were spoilt. Toilet facilities no longer offered. I was directed to the public toilets down the road. This will NOT tick the boxes for the regular cycling groups that visit. Please restore the previous level of service ASAP or I am afraid you will go out of business

Chipping Camden has many very good cafés and restaurants, mostly on the High Street, but we were pleased to go to this one in an old mill nearby. We only went for coffees, and they were very good, in the comfortable traditionally furnished room. The food looked interesting and delicious, but we had booked elsewhere. Also in the mill was a very nice gallery, full of the work of a dozen or more local artists and craftsmen, and upstairs a very interesting silversmiths’ workshop with pieces for sale and commissions accepted. Head off the High Street for a great experience.

A lovely little coffee shop, that's very nicely set up with books to borrow. We arrived, and sat down on the two sofas before noticing they were covered in dog hair and the table was filthy however thought that someone would pop over to wipe it over- as all the other tables that were free were dirty too! The menu was stained with food and drink as well. We placed our orders of 3 sandwiches and drinks to a very lack lustre member of staff who clearly wasn't being paid enough to smile, be polite or make any small talk. Our drinks arrived promptly. Around 15 minutes after we initially ordered another table came in and ordered... we then proceeded to wait another 40 minutes for 3 sandwiches and were astounded to see the other table being served about 15 minutes before us. Our sandwiches then came- the salad was good and the bread clearly fresh and nice. The egg mayonnaise tasted like it was made with salad cream and therefore after 2/3 bites it was left. The other sandwiches were very average at best. Plates weren't cleared and not a word when we paid, the lady seemed more concerned about talking to a gentleman behind us - including not even bothering to ask how our food was..Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return

My sister and I recently dropped into the Campden Coffee Company having read the reviews before staying in Chipping Campden. We found it very laid back and relaxing, and I can see why others have written they spent some considerable time there. We were due to book in to our hotel, otherwise I think we may have stayed for a longer period of time also. Anyone on their own would benefit from relaxing with a book or working on the laptop there, without feeling out of place.

Situated on the ground floor of the Silk Mill off Sheep Street in Chipping Campden, this coffee shop is a real find. The Silk Mill, where the Guild of Handicrafts was started in 1902 houses a gallery and artists and is a great place to feel inspired. The coffee shop is welcoming and is a great place to relax with a good coffee and a book or newspaper. (Comfy sofas!)

Stopped in for coffee, nice location comfortable and bright. The tea cakes were nice and we liked the China. The coffee was good, service prompt although busy. Quite noisy, not helped by disgruntled children parked at a table - who seemed to belong to an employee

Small but beautifully formed coffee shop offering a good range of freshly made sandwiches, soup, cakes and light lunches. The staff are very polite and cheerful. An unhurried atmosphere perfect for a relaxing coffee and slice of cake with a newspaper.

Lovely welcome , great service . I definitely recommend the Turkish eggs from the breakfast menu. An unusual dish of yoghurt poached eggs and sourdough toast with a spicy twist , delicious

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

What a find, a very quintessential English country pub serving local beers as well as a very stocked back shelf and wine cellar. The welcome is warm and very friendly from the staff and locals alike. Not once did we finish our meals and head home, as we started conversations with the locals and fellow guests, that meant for a very social atmosphere. There is a good lunch menu and a very comprehensive evening menu. I promise you will want to come back to try "something else" off the menu, I know we did and we soon realised that we had to pick either starters & main or main & desert due to the larger portions you receive.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.
