The best restaurants serving British food in Rame Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

We're regular visitors to Mount Edgcombe park. We always try to visit The Farriers. The bacon sandwich (from the breakfast menu) is a fabulous start to any walk. If we're there later in the day then the cakes are our choice. All homemade. My husband votes for the fruit scones as the best he's tried Let's be honest he's tried a lot! I'm working through the cakes but confess the fresh cream Victoria Sandwich will take a bit to beat. Lovely staff, quick friendly service and a great atmosphere. Can't fault it and will be back soon.

Had a wonderful couple of days at this lovely little pub. All staff were so kind and friendly, and very considerate of my naughty dog. Had dinner in the pub on the first night, the lamb liver and it was delicious, I would absolutely recommend it. Everything was very fairly priced including breakfast. I had a large full English that was delicious and very generous. Room was very clean, warm and spacious. The view out the bedroom window was beautiful, it's a shame it was storming the whole time me and my partner were there. 10/10 fantastic little place. Would highly recommend.

We stayed a couple of doors down from this bakery and visited for breakfast on our last day. All six of us agreed that it was superb. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection with no grease at all and really reasonably priced too. You need to book as it’s get busy and it’s a small venue but we will definitely go back. The staff were also super helpful and the service was great.

Can't recommend this highly enough. We popped in for lunch one day and went back for breakfast the next. Great choice on the menu and all freshly cooked. Lovely warm and friendly welcome - not only from the staff but from other customers (mostly local I think). Oh and the view is flippin' gorgeous as well!

A very friendly pub with lovely staff and great food. We ate in other pubs in Kingsand & Cawsand and this was definitely our favourite.

We loved the cozy, comfortable, and clean atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the Naan pizza appetizer, roast pork with brandied apples, and the rice bowl. We paired it with cider. It was wonderful. The owner was friendly and very pleasant and visited each table. We really enjoyed our 38th anniversary. Thanks for the wonderful night.

Better than average but not ‘very good’. Ate there twice. Presentation very good. What you actually get left me deflated. Sunday lunch good but let down by the pork. A lot of fat. Next day had trio of fish special. Again looked good but fish was tiny and not the freshest . Not convinced there were 3 types. Other two in the group liked what they had hence 4 out of 5. Service good

Just had an excellent roast at the Carew arms , Antony, They kindly fitted us in after our reservation at another pub was cancelled. Nice hot roast , plenty to eat everyone enjoyed it, thanks a lot.

We stayed in the pub for one night while passing through. The public parking lot was a bit far away but within walking distance. The people were very polite, nice and helpful. Unfortunately the kitchen was cold that evening and we got fast food from a nearby snack bar. The breakfast was prepared very lovingly and with a lot of effort and surprisingly good with real coffee for a pub. In some hotels it was worse.

A little gem of a pub Good beer and lovely food 😋

Absolutely lovely pub with a great atmosphere. We had a mixed table of kids and adults and ordered loads of chilli and chips and it was delicious. The landlady was so lovely and we’d highly recommend the Rising Sun. Gutted to have gone there on our last night in Kingsand as we’d have probably been there every night!

Very much overpriced and my fish and chips were undercooked and soggy very gross will not return don’t recommend to anyone I expected It to cost maybe £8-£9 but no £12.50 I think maybe more than that and the wait was ages went in to collect it and the staff were rude and unhelpful and I was given no cutlery and had to pay for sauces Then I opened the box up outside and it was all soggy and a strange colour very off putting almost looked raw Just ended up eating some of the chips
