Great food, friendly atmosphere, fantastic views and location. My husband and I came with friends. Between us we had lamb hotpot, hake, and pear & apple crumble. Generous portions and delicious. No frills, very informal, but great atmosphere and good service. We'll certainly come again. Would be fabulous on a warm sunny day, to sit outside and admire the glorious views.

We stayed for a week and didn’t want super store produce. We came across this independent deli and absolutely loved the food. The eggs were perfectly fresh and free range; the frozen meals were excellent, no additives and you could buy the frozen veg to compliment the meals; curries excellent; lasagne amazing with peas and leeks and butter. You can order sourdough… perfect. Wine selection excellent and the owners / staff fantastic.

We are so lucky to have Lucy’s Kitchen on our doorstep. The food she creates is everything you want and need from a bake - crammed with flavour, soft, buttery and generous. Donuts, cinnamon swirls, sandwiches, cakes - the list goes on! Her homemade pasta kits are a wonderful indulgence too to whip up at home and tuck into. This is the best food you’ll find on the Rame Peninsula!

We're regular visitors to Mount Edgcombe park. We always try to visit The Farriers. The bacon sandwich (from the breakfast menu) is a fabulous start to any walk. If we're there later in the day then the cakes are our choice. All homemade. My husband votes for the fruit scones as the best he's tried Let's be honest he's tried a lot! I'm working through the cakes but confess the fresh cream Victoria Sandwich will take a bit to beat. Lovely staff, quick friendly service and a great atmosphere. Can't fault it and will be back soon.

Today myself and my family visited The Kernow Lounge for the first time and what a delight it was. When we arrived Robin the owner welcomed us with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. First impressions of the coffee shop were what a cute little place this is especially the greeting from the resident dog who is just adorable and so friendly. There were lots of things to look at around the shop including hand made items made by residents of millbrook which customers can buy which I thought was a great addition, especially as these items were bright and colourful. Looking at the menu board and cake counter there was lots of choice. I chose a latte which was just so creamy and smooth (I’m quite fussy with my coffee), my son had a strawberry milkshake which was topped with cream and marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles which again was just delicious (I had to also give it the taste test)! My other son had a tub of vanilla ice cream which was by roskilleys and it was a generous sized scoop of it! Myself and my husband wanted to try the cake selection so ordered a piece of the chocolate brownie and a yoghurt topped raspberry flapjack slice which he said was just stunning. The chocolate brownie was so gooey and moist which is how I think brownies should be so that went down a treat! The portion sizes were really generous too. We sat outside which was lovely especially as the sun was shining and it was a warm afternoon. We really enjoyed our visit to the Kernow Lounge today and combined it with a lovely walk around a beautiful lake which also had a fantastic play park and skate park for the children. It really makes a brilliant family outing as there is something for the whole family to do. My boys have already told us what they are having next time so they clearly enjoyed themselves. Thanks to the Kernow Lounge for some lovely treats today, we will be back very soon.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!

Recently visited for breakfast & found that this could be an amazing place; however, we didn’t find the staff very welcoming and the cleaning standards in the dining room are not up to scratch. There was food debris on the window sills next to the tables and the floor again needed a sweep. The tables were clean, so I would presume that the crumbs are just being wiped onto the surrounding surfaces rather than being caught and disposed? The cushions also need a clean as they have marks on them. The food itself was very good value for money & was served quickly and tasted fresh. I think the owners of this establishment would be disappointed that their employees are not keeping the cleaning and hospitality standards high.

The location and pub itself is very nice. Service was abit slow considering it was quiet but there only seemed to be one waitress working. The food was abysmal, felt like it had been reheated out of packets. Would go back for a drink but nothing else.

Oh my gosh, the fish and chips were incredible! They were cooked to order perfectly, with a crispy outer layer and a fluffy interior. And the portion was huge!

We stopped here by chance as it was on the way home after a day of sightseeing. We had a warm welcome right from the start and were able to book at short notice. Lots of tables were reserved and lots of laughter and friendly chat at the bar which we took as a good sign.We went for a walk down to the beach while we waited for the kitchen to open. Another warm greeting on our arrival back later. The menu looked great and the food was delicious - huge fish pie with plenty of veg and a Finny burger with the best chips I've had in a long time. We shared a sticky ginger toffee pudding, again delicious. In our opinion, great food, reasonably priced, fantastic views and the staff are friendly and professional. We will definitely be back.
