Wow! We stayed here as they offer free camping if you purchase meals in the pub. Utterly worth it. The bar staff were fab - friendly and efficient and definitely part of the charm. The food....the photos don't do the meals justice! I ordered the scotch egg for starters...literally perfect! The yolk! My hubbie had the chicken wings and he said they were great! I had the steak...not cheap but so worth it! It honestly has to be the best steak I've had so far and I am steak fussy! Hubbie had the lamb and he was utterly impressed. There are two shower rooms with a toilet / sink area (first one's lock is broken). Second has two showers in, so for any parents, this is ideal. I have to say, the folks in the bar of an evening were also super-friendly. So far, one of our favourite camping stop-overs! Food, staff, area....amazing! Thank you.

Absolutely lovely traditional British cafe, and the owner Tony is brilliant. We had a mega breakfast, two jacket potatoes (wide range of toppings) and a packed chicken salad sandwich, along with drinks. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back. Tony has owned the cafe for over over 40 years and you can tell his passion and commitment to his business. The staff were lovely and we were very impressed.

Carvery was not good I ordered a nut roast when I went to get it the chap serving the meat was so rude said I haven't got one did you order it I said yes with the waitress 15 mins before he said well you will have to wait the potatoes were that hard you couldn't cut into them (needed a chainsaw )The sprouts were hard so was the broccoli overall very dissapointing and definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY 😡😡😡🤮

This restaurant used to combine a charming, historic setting with a wide menu of hearty food (the cauliflower cheese was world class) but now the bill of fare is on a par with an average roadside café: Pasties, beans on toast, jacket potatoes etc. The staff are as friendly as before, but the magic has gone.

Wow, we went to The Weavers for Sunday Lunch, the food was sumptuous, generous in portion and extremely taste, I cannot recommend this pub enough. Probably one of the best pub roasts meals I have ever had. My friend has the Fish & Chips which was equally good. Bravo!

Whilst doing the week’s shop we popped into the cafe for a quick lunch. We queued for 20mins although not that busy. There were only 2 people working and I think the person on the till was new as didn’t seem to know what she was doing. I did feel sorry for her and she kept apologising. I ordered 2 tuna paninis and I don’t know how they can be sold as paninis as they weren’t grilled or put in a panini press. They were extremely thin baguettes put in a merrichef!! It was so soggy on the bottom and burnt on the top! They had run out of a lot of cakes and napkins too and this was all by 12pm! Will not be retuning to the cafe and wished we had gone to McDonalds instead!
