The best restaurants serving British food in Bristol, City of South West

Difficult for me to review as it's always been quiet when I have been in, but I know it's still popular with locals, and has an "old world (village) charm" and is a comfortable pub. The landlord is welcoming and friendly. I have not eaten there for many years, so can't comment. It does have a limited selection of beers on draft. I live very close and it's always been there but has struggled to stay open over the years. Well worth a visit, it may suit you fine.

Such a lovely atmosphere and everyone is so friendly! Drinks and music are amazing, would highly recommend and will be returning soon!!

Visited here as was visiting family near by, faye on reception was very helpfull very cheerful and nothing was to much problem for her, nice fresh food and gteat on the price :) great service will defo be back

Amazing food and super friendly service by Jamie (apologies if I misspelled your name) and the team! Calzones were fantastic, red wine was fab and the music was great. Nice one 👌

My go-to cafe. The pastries and quiche are exceptional. Always friendly staff, warm atmosphere.

We ordered from here via just eat last night, and whilst the delivery time was shorter than expected, that’s where the positives end. Chips tasted reheated and cold - there is no chance they were made to order and must have been sat around for a while. Haddock not very crispy and just a bit sad. Mushy peas were sloppy and had no seasoning and absolutely no flavour. We had to recook most of it to make it edible. A disappointing chippy tea dinner :(

Sunday morning visits along with gallery exhibition trips. Comfortable, good service and food, relaxed student atmosphere. Great for a coffee, toastie and chat or people watching.

Great deck area with lovely views. Reception staff were not too helpful when we requested early check ahead of time and did not make much effort to accommodate this.
