Nice atmosphere for a in town place to enjoy a pint and a bite to eat , food was good but I felt a bit more choice ( personal preference ) on the menu would be good , staff friendly and pleasant, would definitely go back again .

My trip to the Bay Horse was very special. Food was brilliant, I was served a Birra Moretti which went down a treat. Staff are really welcoming, Olivia madr us feel right at home. Will definitely be coming back!!

agresivo personal de la puerta. Pasó por la primera pinta de la noche, y le dijeron que se parara «cerca» de una mesa donde estaban sentados los porteros... al lado del bar. Esperaba que mi padre recibiera una pinta fresca después de que me sirvieran una rancia, que fue reemplazada sin disculpas. El tipo a nuestro lado en el bar dijo que le acababa de pasar lo mismo, así que ¿por qué no se quitaron la cerveza?

Great food, excellent Guinness and staff are brilliant especially Summer always greets us with a warm smile.

Fui a comer algo a la hora del almuerzo así que pedí dos sándwiches de bistec con mayonesa de mostaza. Terminó con un sándwich de carne untado liberalmente con tanta mostaza inglesa que te hizo moquear los ojos y la nariz sin signos de mayonesa. Me gusta la comida caliente y picante, pero esto era completamente exagerado y mi esposa solo logró comer la mitad de la suya. Nos ofrecieron dos cervezas gratis para compensarlo, pero no un reembolso en la comida. Fue una pena que un sándwich que obviamente estaba hecho con carne y pan de buena calidad se arruinara por un mal control de calidad en la cocina

¿Hizo una búsqueda en Google de un pub cerca de mí mientras visitaba Bristol y Bay Horse apareció tan cerca. Vino por un par de bebidas descaradas a media tarde, el personal muy acogedor, el servicio excelente y bebidas a un precio razonable. No comí, pero el menú parece variado con buena comida de pub anticuada. Una mención especial a Summer que es un crédito absoluto al lugar, amable, alegre y comprometido muy positivamente con la clientela. Sin duda volveremos!

Had a good time here on a random day out in Bristol. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the quality of beer served was very good. Can't comment on food as I did not eat here.

I have to say that any menber of staff that seemed preoccupied when I arrived at the bar made a concerted effort to stop what they were doing and take my drinks order, as someone who has worked in high end restaurants and busy pubs it was refreshing to see the staff putting their role and the customer experience first

We came as part of a 30th Birthday meal - a table of 9. The atmosphere was a lot, felt like a sports bar and also we asked for an accessible table this didn't happen. The accessible toilet was up the stairs from the table. One part of our order wasn't put through the till so left 2 of us including the birthday boy without a meal. This would be a one star if it wasn't for the hospitality of the team, who gave us our meals for free, a free drink and coffees for the table. The food was fine, bit pub grub. One waitress even came to the table with out food and said "A cheese burger with most of the stuff missing" rather than explaining, very bored.

Gran personal y Sam es un muchacho superior (que no sea su equipo de fútbol). Nunca esperando mucho en el bar. En general, un boozer de buena calidad y situado justo fuera de mi oficina!

Went twice in one day for a cuppa and a half pint as it was so cold and we needed to sit, relax and decide what to do in the city. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere BUT no cake or biscuits or anything to have with the tea! You’re missing a trick there!!

A Champions League Catastrophe Venturing out on a Champions League night while working away, I sought a classic pub experience: a pint of fine ale or refreshing lager and a hearty meal. Instead, I stumbled upon a culinary nightmare. The menu, rather than offering just the usual pub fare of pies, burgers, and chips, presented a monstrosity: the Beyond Meat Sprout Pesto Burger. A concoction that defies logic and taste. A plant-based patty, a pungent pesto, and a heaping pile of sprouts? It's as if the chef had a personal vendetta against food. The plant-based patty, in itself is bad enough. But then sprouts? Sprouts, the bane of Christmas dinners everywhere? A vegetable so universally disliked, it's often relegated to the dinner plate as a punishment. And now, it's been elevated to burger status. My ancestors, the valiant hunters and gatherers, would be turning in their graves. They fought and sacrificed for the right to enjoy a good steak or a hearty roast. Little did they know their legacy would be reduced to this: a sad excuse for a meal. I left the pub, disillusioned and fearing I could never eat again.

Service is efficient and very friendly (in particular Summer, is brilliant), food above your average pub grub at particularly price point. Surrounding clean and tidy. Overall a welcoming bar that the brand (Greene king) should be proud of.

Personal muy acogedor y amable, excelentes bebidas calientes y un encantador almuerzo caliente recién cocinado. Muy buen lugar para estar y tomar un descanso de las compras en la ciudad.

I liked this pub . As a solo traveller the bar staff were happy to watch my bags as i went upstairs for a pee. I happened to be there when a quiz started so i joined in alone, there was a round that needed 2 people so the staff found me a quiz mate and we won our round 😁. I had a great night and would definitely go here again

We visited here for the first time today. We were happy with the food and drink but what really made this experience exceptionally good was our server Summer who went above and beyond. She was so diligent, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She is very good at her job and I hope she is recognised for this. Thank you Summer!

Fuimos al Bay Horse el domingo pasado mientras estábamos en un viaje en autobús a Bath y Bristol, personal amable y fabulosa comida, mi hija y yo compartimos un plato que era muy bueno, habríamos tenido el almuerzo dominical se veía muy bien, pero estábamos en un horario apretado así que no tenía suficiente tiempo. Recomendaría a fondo una visita, muy cómodo y buen ambiente

Clean, tidy, spacious. Easy to nip in during stay. Relaxed. Nothing special when set against the huge range of eating and watering holes around central Bristol but if you’re killing time or need a snack and a pint while catching up on phone or pad then this place works.

I Was in Bristol for the weekend from London and was walking around taking in the atmosphere. Stumbled on this place as a pit stop. Had fish and chips and a pint Nice staff, good service. Let my mate know I was here. And finally enough he drinks in the same pub! So double endorsement. Will cost again, when I am in town.

I was part of a large group of friends (choir) who had our evening meals over 3 nights and Sunday roast. Davina and staff were all so lovely, polite, friendly and efficient. They did a great job of providing 30+ meals on time and together, which all tasted delicious. The steak and ale pie was a firm favourite.

Nice place for a lunchtime beer. Outside seating to watch the world hurry along. Do get pestered with the homeless but no fault on the pub.

We are a visiting choir who were singing in the Cathedral and staying nearby. We booked in to the Bay Horse for 3 eveninng dinners and Sunday lunch. There were 35 of us in total and Davina and her staff were just fantastic. The service was impeccable and all the staff were very friendly, made us feel very welcome, and coped admirably with our complex orders and last minute changes.

Called in to the bay horse this week. Had a beautifull meal the staff were very friendly a lovely atmosphere The food was piping hot and lovely to have nice condiments like heinz to go with are meal I most defo be visiting in here again lovely fresh ice cold beer to top it off well done bay horse lovely to see lovely staff serving you with a smile and the blonde waitress was very polite and asked us if are meal was.ok top marks for the bayhorse broadmead. Came for Sunday lunch. Pub has a nice calm ambience at midday, lots of good beer choices, staff were friendly. Our lunch was not great though, slightly cheaper than average Sunday Lunch for Bristol but the quality was not worth the gap in price. Felt like the food was all reheated. We had the beef and chicken options.

The bay horse is a lovely pub we stumbled upon on our visit to Bristol. The food here is excellent, I had the pleasure of trying their award winning steak and ale pie which did not disappoint! It is what I would consider a traditional pub pie, beating every other eateries idea of what a pie is. My fiancé had the macaroni cheese which he enjoyed also. The pub was nice and quiet at the time we visited, but I can imagine it’s a great hot spot in the evening for drinks and possibly watching sports on the TV. Both staff members we interacted with were friendly and welcoming and made our experience even nicer. I would recommend the bay horse as a nice stop for lunch if you’re in the area.

We just went for a drink, so I can't comment on the food (though it looked and smelled nice from what we saw at other tables). It was a Saturday afternoon, and we'd just got off a hot coach, and the pub was close by, it wasnt very full. It was cool indoors and they had cold beer... did the job.

Just wow! I absolutely loved my time here :) I came in after a walk through the pouring rain, and was greeted by the friendliest staff member ever. His kind attitude and attentiveness made my experience truly memorable. The food was absolute delectable and the Guinness was creamy as ever! I cannot extended my gratitude enough x

We were staying at the Premier Inn across the road, so not far to wander. We ate here twice it was so good. On the first occasion we had a steak sandwich (delicious, steak was so tender and perfectly cooked), a burger (which our teen couldn’t finish, it’s a bit of a monster), and a steak pie (which was vast! Delicious though), on the second visit hubby and I shared a pie, and our teen had the nachos which they enjoyed. Prices were reasonable. Would recommend this to anyone looking for some decent pub grub. Staff were friendly.
