Visited for a late lunch. The place was filthy, had to clear my own table and many nearby remained uncleared the whole time I was there. There were 2 lads apparantly clearing but they appeared to be working in slow motion. The "omlette" was a disc of cooked egg in a bun with a few leaves. It tasted of nothing at all except for a curiously sweet jam which was under it. Certainly completely free of cheese. Quite nasty. Won't be back

Si bien la comida era deliciosa, estábamos profundamente decepcionados con respecto a los incidentes de comportamiento poco profesional que presenciamos. Después de comprar nuestra comida nos sentamos en un banco afuera y esto nos dio una vista directa al establecimiento. Nosotros observamos a dos miembros del personal, hombres jóvenes que no sólo cometían conductas inapropiadas sino también profundamente preocupantes. En concreto, presenciamos a estos dos empleados detrás del mostrador mimetizándose y burlándose de cada cliente que entraba en el local. Este comportamiento fue especialmente inquietante cuando uno de los clientes, que parecía tener necesidades educativas especiales, fue objeto de su burla. Tales acciones no solo reflejan una falta de respeto y empatía, sino que también contribuyen a un entorno hostil que socava los valores fundamentales de inclusión y profesionalidad que confiamos en que defiende esta empresa. Este incidente plantea serias preocupaciones sobre la capacitación y supervisión de su personal. Es primordial que todos los empleados entiendan la importancia de tratar a los clientes con dignidad y respeto, independientemente de sus circunstancias. Este comportamiento no sólo daña la reputación del propio establecimiento, sino que también puede violar las obligaciones legales relativas al trato de las personas con necesidades educativas especiales. Sugiero que el personal reciba más formación sobre la conducta en el lugar de trabajo, la diversidad y la importancia de la sensibilidad hacia todos los clientes. Además, debería considerarse la posibilidad de aplicar un procedimiento disciplinario a todo empleado que en el futuro tenga un comportamiento poco profesional.

Stopped here a few times during my 2 day stay in Bath. The staff was friendly. The store was very hot with no air con during a summers day. Even their chocolate items were melting which is not good. Felt sorry for their employers. Quite a small one.

The cafe is lacking any ambiance and the staff are incredibly slow at serving customers - especially at weekends. It’s painful to watch how slowly these people Move especially with large queues.

Popped in here as the Google reviews said there was a fire. Was not disappointed! Great fire and we were lucky to find a seat right by it! But there are very few chairs by the fire. Music was very loud and a bit heavy rock for me.

Brilliant venue, fabulous welcome and delicious food. We were a party of 22, some with specific dietary needs, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Thank you Laura, thank you Garricks Head.

Elementally, I write to express my sincere heartfelt appreciation & gratitude for Meg [Floor Associate]. She delivered a highly professional & competent customer service, which she provided in both a friendly and accessible manner. Meg [Floor Associate], is incredibly "attentive" every time I come to eat at The King of Wessex [J D Weatherspoon], Bath & goes to great lengths to check on how my day had gone, which is what makes a "curated" high quality pub experience in my view. She produced a extremely satisfying customer experience from start to finish, for which I will always be grateful for. Furthermore, I would absolutely recommend, Meg [Floor Associate], as she was incredibly curating, extremely knowledgeable about the Weatherspoon's Menu & punctilious throughout my "lovely customer experience". I would strongly recommend "The King Wessex Bath" duo, to their eclectic distinguished atmosphere, great range in food options & unbeatable collection of beverages. I couldn’t eat the nut roast as it had cranberries in which I can’t eat. Asked them for just vegetables and a cauliflower cheese. The food turned out up luke warm with the nut roast I didn’t want and cauliflower cheese that was cold rubbery and looked like it had been hanging around. No gravy offered and charged us full price for the plate of veg. Not happy!!! Won’t be going there again. Staff were really friendly.

Servicio muy amable y servicial, gracias, por lo tanto 2 estrellas hasta ahora, pero la comida era decepcionante, no... fue... impactante. Nunca, nunca ordenes su Rarebit galés... nunca. Un poco de pan frío con un luke - untar caliente de queso en la parte superior, apenas asado, ciertamente no ‘cocinado’, sin ensalada lateral, sin nada, solo un poco solitario de pan frío masticable de queso, pobrecita, se veía tan triste. Ok a solo £ 5. 75 que esperaban un almuerzo de 3 estrellas Mich, y sí debería haberme quejado directamente a quien estuviera a cargo, pero en realidad la gente que sirve era encantadora, un crédito para el equipo y no merecía mi decepción. Waitrose, mejor anima a tu Welsh Rarebit o hazte un favor y sácalo del menú.

Chocolate caliente frío. No tuve tiempo para quejarse / retirar porque la cola era enorme debido a que una persona servía y el gerente simplemente se quedó charlando. Asquerosos baños.

Excellent steak and ale pie. Decent down to earth pub serving near the airport. Good grub. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.

On arrival to sit outside the table required cleaning. We asked the waiter if he could possibly clean the table (politely). He replied he was too busy. No other communication and never returned. We asked another waiter to wipe the table which he did but with one wipe. I live in Bath and proud of the city attractions. I was accompanied with friends from another part of the country. Not a great impression. Staff need to be trained not only in how to clean tables but how they interact with customers. Regrettably on this occasion it was poor!

Sorry Grace Dent your taste buds must be contaminated with all that Posh food! After seeing your programme about Greggs Sausage rolls we tried our first one today. Horrible……insipid sausage and greasy aftertaste. At £1.20 a rip off. Trouble is people are so used to fast food, they think it’s good! Had to have an apple to cleanse our pallets😩😡
