Airport Tavern Public House in Bath and North East Somerset

Arrived at about 4am to book our car in for parking! Wish we hadn't! It was a stony, under lit. pot holed yard. One man with a head torch, badly informing people where to go. Found the check in desk, one lady, trying to check in a queue of people, whilst answering the phone at the same time, which didn't stop.,a run down, far too small makeshift lean to. It was pouring with rain, we were trying to get in and check the car in, people were trying to shelter from the rain. Far too small, it looked like a farm building. The minibus arrived, we had to wait for the driver, he had gone to smoke a cigarette. The bus was disgusting. Smelt like a farm vehicle. Anyway, arrived at the airport in time!!! When we got back, we rang the number to come and collect us, which they promptly did. Didn't check anyone's name... got back in the minibus, another foul smelling minibus, to take us to get our car. The driver put his foot down, didn't slow down for speed bumps, thought we were going to go through the roof. In the daylight , the check in place looked horrendous, and not fit for purpose. Had to carry our suitcases through the car park, as it was too stoney to safely pull your case, felt like the wheels would have come off. Drove home in the car, all the way home, could still smell the stale aroma from the minibus. Won't be using again, and wouldn't recommend it either.

DO NOT USE AIPORT PARKING! Read trust pilot reviews: Wish I had read the previous reviews before booking! absolute shambles! Choose Silverzone and pay the extra. Booked here to save £20 and it was horrendous. Landed and called the number as instructed no answer.. called and called when they did answer they said the transport just comes as and when. Waited 50 minutes in the cold poring rain and when the white minibus arrived it refused to let me on saying that he was "going to the airport tavern lodges" and that I would have to wait for the next! Nearly an hour in the cold I got back to the tavern in absolute chaos! Huge line waiting to check-in when all I wanted was my keys to go but just 1 girl serving everyone, waited 20 minutes and still not served, in the end the mini bus driver went to get my keys only to find my car sandwiched in the far end of the car park so couldn't even get my case in the back or the boot! I will never choose again.

Location of the property is amazing, being minutes from the airport. We booked a family room which consisted of en-suite, two single beds and a double. We arrived on a Sunday evening for a flight in the early hours of Monday morning. No food was available on the Sunday evening, but there are places to eat nearby. Parking is at the accommodation’s ’park and ride’ so we had to agree with the site that we could park. However, despite following the instructions to indicate we needed to leave early, we were still blocked in at 3am and needed to get the site staff to move cars so we could leave. The accommodation is a pub and so loud music and ‘choice language’ continued until at least midnight…not a great experience with young children.

Food We ordered cheeseburger and chips, fish finger ciabatta. When the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised. It looked amazing and there was so much of it! Very delicious, freshly cooked food. Would definitely recommend. We are going on holiday again in September so we will be back.

Called in for food & drinks one evening before flying out of Bristol. We thoroughly enjoyed our food & drinks in the outside beer garden which was a bit of a sun trap. All the staff we met were very helpful & friendly. Would definitely call in again if travelling through Bristol.

Don’t bother …chips came out cold sent them back and they came out nuked and the steak my partner had was absolutely awful then you have the cook (won’t call her a chef ) whinging and moaning about the other staff and the shifts she works could hear it all in the lounge certainly wouldn’t recommend the experience

Popped in here before our flight. The welcome was great and the food was amazing steak pie, chilli, goid portions. Well done you got it right.

Well we ordered steak pie and chips when it arrived it was steak and mushroom pie I hate mushrooms when I spoke to the chef and asked why it wasn’t on the menu she said she has been trying it really needs to be as some people are allergic to mushrooms and this could be very dangerous they could get sued so you may have to state it on there because if it was I wouldn’t have ordered it.

Always use for parking and last few times have eaten in the pub. Good pub grub….. nothing fancy, but huge portions and a whole lot cheaper than airport prices

Arrivato in serata per cenare. Ambiente molto ruvido con una signora al bar che serviva da bere, arrabbiata e con poca voglia di stare al mondo. Ho aspettato il mio turno e dopo quasi 15min, ho chiesto un tavolo e una pinta. Mi ha indicato un divano con un tavolo per la mia cena. Sconcertato ho accettato. Dopo un po’, ho notato un tavolo migliore e ho chiesto se era possibile spostarmi li, la signora mi ha risposto “non vede che sono impegnata?! Aspetti un secondo!”. Assurdo! Poco dopo ho preso la mia giacca e ho cambiato tavolo, senza dire una sola parola. Ho ordinato la mia bistecca, ho finito di cenare e sono scappato. Servizio orribile. Certe persone dovrebbero cambiare lavoro. Non ci tornerò.

We stayed nearby for one night before going on holiday and had a meal here. The food was very nice and very reasonably priced. The staff were very pleasant and the the place had a nice atmosphere. I will use again the next time I fly from Bristol.

All went well pleased with car handover and payment when dropping off. A couple of negatives unfortunatly. The lady that was there at the drop off was a bit rude to people. No need for that at all. As the bus pulled up outside reception nobody was aware of what was going on as we were stood there . Go on get on the bus then she barked , like we were naughty litte school kids, how rude. Coming back we did as asked and called the Tavern to say we were ready to be picked up. OK they said the bus is on its way. My wife and i were at the front of the queue waiting for the bus to come in to the pick up Zone. In came the bus only there was a mad scramble to get on it and my wife and i were pushed aside. I managed to get on the bus back to the airport tavern where my car was. Unfortunatly another lady was not so lucky her car was not in the area, it was in another location. At 2am with rain soaking everyone, not a very pleasant experience. I then had to drive back to the airport to pick my disabled wife up.

We booked a room and seven days parking the night before our holiday we had the family room which was first class nice and clean large bathroom clean towels easy to find transport to the Airport first class

Used this tavern pre holiday and booked a room prior to departure day at 6 am. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable with tea coffee etc. towels soap etc. all for one night. The staff doing the transfers were accommodating, helpful and friendly. Carpark and hotel stay cheaper than parking at airport. Smooth, hassle free service which made my holiday so much more enjoyable. Thankyou all, we will definitely use you going forward and not bother booking airport parking again.

I don’t normally like doing this kind of thing. However, staying locally to the airport Tavern I was told at 8:45 pm this evening that it would close at 9 pm. I was in the public house at 8:55 and waited until 8.58 for a member of staff to return to the bar. I asked if they were still serving food I was told probably not – she went to check and came back and said that they were not. If the kitchen closes at 9 o’clock - it closes at 9 o’clock not before. I thought it was mean-spirited and not only are they getting this bad review for their mean spiritedness but they have also lost money because had I been able to purchase food I would’ve stayed until closing time drinking. After the last 18 months that businesses like this have had I would’ve thought that they would’ve been more than happy to accept custom – clearly not the case. Suggest you brush up on your customer service skills

Me and the family are off to fuertaventura tomorrow so we decided to eat here... glad we did... it's an old school pub who only serves lite bites before 6pm, then after 6pm till 10pm the full food is on... to be honest the service from the bar maids was great.. realy nice people... the food was also realy nice, my son said his steak was amazing which is great praise from him to be honest.... next time we fly from bristol airport we will definitely be coming for the food and drinks first!... The staff here always go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. While waiting for dinner my daughters were becoming a little fussy, noticing this a member of staff brought over an activity book for each of them. Delicious food and a family friendly stay

I’ve seriously never been to a pub like it. Rather like the scene at the Slaughtered Lamb from American Werewolf in London. It was surreal. Had a very quick drink and got out of there while we still had the chance. Stayed on the road and kept off the moors. We lived to tell the tale.

Have ate and drank here several times before whilst staying at the forge. Looking a bit tired in decor, but staff and locals very friendly. Several drinks not available Inc. Rose wine. But nice reasonably priced red wine on the menu, plus Stella on tap. Food was a bit of a mixed bag with my curry not being great but everyone else's was good. Not the best visit we have had but still OK.

Near used there parking facilities Before, but they were much cheaper than the airport parking. Very easy service, excellent drop off and pick up service! Really friendly evening at 6am!! We will definitely be using the parking facilities again and would recommend

We have used the Airport Tavern car park services to Bristol Airport many times spanning a number of years. We think it's a fabulous service!It's only a stone-throw from the airport. You stop in your car, go in the office - hand in your keys. Bob's your uncle! They have excellent uptodate toilet/washbasin, which is most needful after a long run from home. You get in their mini-bus, they take you right outside the airport and you forget everything until you get home.Home again. Off the plane and there they are waiting outside in the same place as they dropped you.Back to your car and ''job done'' The staff have always been pleasant and very helpful. I'm sorry we've never been inside the restaurant but it does look warm and welcoming.

I was staying at the Forge accommodation accross the road. It was an excellent place for a meal after long flight from Cyprus. I had the brie for starter. Excellent presentation and very generous tasty portion size. Then I had the fish of the day in beer batter with french fries, coleslaw, salad and peas. Again the presentation was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. They checked to see was everything ok re my food. Excellent quality and value for money.

Had a meal there night before a flight. Staff friendly and food ok but the appalling language coming from the bar area needs to be addressed or maybe closing the bar off so you don’t have to listen to it whilst having your meal The pub itself is in bad need of a revamp and a good clean Wouldn’t go there again

Came across from the forge for a meal and I had the cave mix grill and it was amazing full of flavour and couldn't fault the food couldn't finish it as was full totally recommend this place...

Called here on way back to airport (2 adults and 1 child). We had a quick dinner on a Monday evening. Extensive menu with kids options (although unfortunately they had run out of pizza so our small person was disappointed). Some other options on specials board too. I had a Cajun chicken burger with sweet potato fries and coleslaw, my friends had chicken tikka masala, half n half with popadom, and the kids chicken nuggets, chips and beans. Large portions, prompt service, no frills but lovely food.

Car came back absolutely stinking dirty and smelling of Body odour.....😔....driver was rude. Staff generally uninterested. Never using again. Would prefer to pay treble the price than use this shocking service.

stopped here for a meal the evening before our flight. we received a warm welcome and told we could sit wherever we wanted. After checking the menu we chose our meals and placed the order. the food was delicious and filling. After the meal we decided to have one last drink in the bar area. The bar area lets this place down enormously, the glasses we had were dirty and the mens toilets were filthy. would not go there again as the restaurant part and the bar area seem like two different places which is a shame as the food was great.

We had dinner here whilst staying at Forge Accommodation and was lovely and a great atmosfere. Only downfall is serving food only from 6-9pm.

Suggested to visit this pub by the people at The Forge Hotel across the road during the terrible snow in early Feb 2019. Given a warm welcome. The food is good and varied. I was pleased to see Butcombe Bitter on tap which was excellent , hopefully Butcombe Gold the next time i visit . Service is fast and efficient.This is not fine dining but the burger i ordered was one of the best i had ever tasted !You wont be hungry when you leave this pub.I have not had accommodation at this pub.

Read reviews on trip advisor about parking at airport tavern which were not good but gave them the benefit of the doubt and went ahead and used them. Big mistake when we arrived back and rang them to get collected were told the bus was on its way as if!! 30 minutes later arrived and there were about 20 people waiting to get on which only accommodated 8 it was one mad rush to see who got there first. Attitude of staff is disgraceful they don’t give a dam will never use them again..

Whenever we stay overnight in Bristol before a flight we end up coming here for food and drink.

Used them three times this summer (July, August and September). They are unpleasant and rude. Had to wait every single time to be collected from the airport at lest half an hour yet they are 5 minutes away. All staff we dealt with, males and female, have no clue what customer service is. They might be the cheapest but they are the worst. Do not use

The bad reviews on this site are really quite unfair. This is a tavern. It doesn’t claim to be anything else. It’s rough n ready but does the job. Food was plentiful and came quickly. The beer and wine tasted good. We paid double the price for our round once we got to departure lounge. £14 versus £7. And the wine was smaller at the airport. We were booked in for the airport parking so it was convenient and cheap.

Got to be one of the worst pubs going! Capitalises on the fact it's the only one near the airport. Staff were friendly but seemed clueless. No real ales because they couldn't change a barrel, no orange or grapefruit juice, no fizzy water. Food was actually not bad (for deep fried pub grub). Hadn't a clue who ordered what. Locals loud and foul mouthed. Could do better with minimal effort if they can be bothered.

Currently spending the night here - what an amazing place!! Gorgeous country pub environment, friendly staff, room beautifully decorated and so clean. The food though - out of this world - fresh, tasty, beautifully served. I understand there is a new chef - keep him. Would recommend a stay here to anyone. Totally beats the tasteless chains we usually use. We will be back - thank you.

Very friendly staff on arrival , nice atmosphere. Staying for 1 night before holiday . Room is massive & well presented . Food is amazing , had the “ Caveman grill “ which was cooked to perfection .. Deffo come back again 😀

Quite possibly the worst pub I've ever been in. Foul mouth drunk in the small bar at tea time really put us off. No ales available and what we did have wasn't good. Definitely won't go here again.

Beer good, food good, nice beer garden really good value for money it is what it's called ...an airport tavern ! Don't expect a l'carte but the bacon and goats cheese baguette with chips for 5.95 was delicious thank you

Met friends for meal the night before we flew off on separate holidays.. food was ok but nothing to get over excited about. Would eat here again if needed to but wouldn’t be my first choice

Das Essen ist typisch Britisch. Grosse Portionen nett angerichtet. Wenn man Hunger hat und nicht zu hohe ansprüche besitzt ist hier richtig. Leider gab es in der Nähe nicht viel auswahl aber war ok . Mehr aber nicht. Wie gesagt Pub Grub!!

Parked car here for a week car was pristeen as only 2 weeks old on arrival back mud in driver and passenger side also back foot wells right under seats and on ceiling and even in boot total disregard for our property do not use this

Called in for a meal and a few beers with my wife prior to an early flight to Malta. Good selection of beers and cider and The menu was plentiful with adequate choices. There are also covered areas for those summer nights for the smokers to stay dry.

Staying at the Forge accommodation across the road.... not a lot of eating choices within walking distance except the Airport Tavern.

Menu good until you order then restricted as quite a lot finished this was 1.00 pm!! Food was good and well presented but the woman behind bar was disinterested and loud and swore constantly with foul language used irrespective of who was in the lounge!

Radio had been re-tuned. Internal lights had been switched off. Damage to vehicle. Miles had increased. Staff are rude, (landlady and the who guy who seems to not move from his little chair in his tiny little hut, in particular). They are an utter cowboy outfit. Do your research on them. If you care about the welfare of your car of any sort of customer service, what so ever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

I have used this company on four occasions over the last two years. The fourth will be my last! I have always worried about the lack of email confirmation and the inability to get through by telephone or email but I never had any trouble...

Should have read all the bad reviews about terrible parking experiences. Returned from 5 day trip to find car covered in leaves, broken twigs etc. and bird droppings. Inside the car mats on both driver and passenger side covered in mud and large boot prints....

The pub is quite dated. Offers a nice small beer garden. The menu is varied with traditional pub meals and the meals are large and inexpensive. Was within waking distance of where we were staying. Pub offers airport parking too although we didn't use it on this occasion so can't comment.

I have used these many times before and never had any issues as far as parking is concerned - They can be a little slow collecting you when you arrive back but that's about it. But they seriously need to get their admin staff sorted!! I was trying to book online and for some reason the system wouldn't take my payment. So I rang and was asked to try again in a hour (I'm guessing because she was going off duty and wanted to pass the buck!). Rang again after a couple of hours and was told to try tomorrow!! When I objected, I was told tough they couldn't help!! Great attitude - NOT!! There never seems to be enough staff to deal with issues

My car was parked at the Airport Tavern Car Park for 12 days. Prior to this I had had the car valeted, so it was spotless, however on collection, which was 2 am, dark and cold, I noticed how dirty my car was, mud caked on the carpets in both the driver and passenger foot wells and all over the back seat? which would indicate to me that someone had walked over it (don't want to think about what else could have put mud on the back seat)! The following day, I noticed a large scuff and scrape to the rear of the passenger side. I have emailed the company on several occasions since then but I am afraid no response. Since that time I have read reviews on this car park and have come to the conclusion it was not the best choice. I certainly will not be parking my car there again.

Had had drinks earlier and decided to have evening meal. Chicken gougons and Cajun chicken off specials board,both with chips,side salad.Proper pub food,very nice. Butcombe beer and Guinness very good to drink. Very good value. Ideal for the airport

Staying across the road wanted to find a local to eat - this fitted the bill. Welcome - staff and food all ticked the box. Chicken Salad for her indoors and Lasagne for me , . With drinks just over 25£

We ate here whilst staying overnight across the road. Do not expect posh fine dining - this is a good pub with a typical menu and served excellent steaks plus real ale on draught. Exactly what we needed. No pretentions - you get what you see and will not be disappointed.

We booked on line and paid. We had to put reg in and it came up with the make and model of my car. On arrival at 5am we were told it was a big car and had to pay £5 a day extra which was more than double what I originally paid. When we got back to collect the car it was parked up against a hedge in the corner, not where I parked it originally. Good job my cars paint work isn't that good or I would have been gutted. I feel totally ripped off as they know you can't park anywhere else that as you have a plane to catch so just charge you extra when you get there. BEWARE RIPOFF.

Dopo un breve viaggio di piacere a Bristol abbiamo prenotato in un b&b vicino al aeroporto di Bristol per essere facilitati dal ora mattiniera del aereo per l'Italia il giorno dopo...proprio di fronte c'è una taverna dai vecchi sapori...cibo inglese a conduzione famigliare buono a prezzi davvero modici per non parlare della birra alla spina...una birra media poco più di 3 sterline ...in Italia ce li sognamo questi prezzi...non trascurabile il fatto che al estero non si paga il coperto.

After a flight from Switzerland booked accommodation over the road, excellent, was recommended by reception to eat at Airport Tavern, ordered at £9 95 home made steak pie it contained one piece of steak approximately 1inch square and four pieces of cut up sausage, salad, peas and chips . Bad language and shouting came from adjacent bar, Carpet was filthy and well worn

Family of 7 ate dinner, few glutenfree alternativs. Okay food but beware of the level difference in the floor! sprained my hand.

Staying at Old Farm , went for food here ,thought it was lovely and would recommend the food . Good old real ham egg and chips. Varied menu lots to choose from

Used the parking and accomodation from over the road so popped in here for a late meal. We goth there at 8:55pm to be told they had stopped serving food!We had to order a take away from our accommodation and went back to the Tavern for some drinks and crisps. Place seems to need a good make over.

This was a very good and cheap alternative to the airport car parking as it was half the price and the service excellent. We dropped the car of at 4:30 am and immediately picked up and driven for 3 mins to the airport and dropped off at the pick up area. On return the transport was ready to take us back to the Tavern and our car was waiting for us.A very seamless and inexpensive way to get to the airport.

Awful meal of the pile it high sell it cheap variety, huge portions of unappetising food. Place smelt of stale food and tobacco smoke.

Overpriced for the mediocre fare that you receive. My partner is a vegetarian and 2 of the listed options on the menu, didn't exist and were actually something else. In the end she chose a vegetarian lasagne which was very poor. Barely any vegetables within and a very bland sauce and over cooked pasta. My meat lasagne was slightly burnt, meat ok but the pasta was over cooked as well. The problem is that this is the only eating option around here if you're staying at a nearby guesthouse.

Had diner here one night, prior to my early morning flight the next day.Seemed to have a good selection of food, portion sizes are ample, and the food was nice and hot. Staff are friendly. I had my meal in the lounge bar, there are two sides.Reasonably good value for money also. Would eat here again

I've been here a couple of times now when using Bristol airport and staying close by. This isn't a classy place by any means but the beer and the food are both excellent. Good beer, hearty food and friendly service - what every weary traveler wants.

Arrived last week for lunch before our week departure with their transfers. Meal was ok, nothing special but felt the place could do with a total refurbishment. We were dropped off for our departure no problem but the return was a complete disaster, no one to answer the call after picking up cases, waited for 3 of their mini buses to turn up before our return which took almost an hour in in cold, only to find out 1 lady driver was picking up, dropping off, and handing out the keys!! I appreciate it only cost £30 but didn't expect to wait such a long time to be transferred when it only takes 5mins by bus. They had no consideration for young children and baby's stranded 1am freezing cold at a pick up point! Next time will use an alternative and suggest you do the same.

We found this to be perfectly adequate - they seem to have a captive market for people staying over the road. Friendly locals, enjoyed a game of darts, and the food wasn't fine dining but good enough and fairly priced. Yes, the place may be looking 'a little tired' but we found it clean enough and would use again.

Just had a meal at The Airport Tavern after booking in at The Forge Accomadation. After a 2 hour drive it was a 2 min walk across the road. Walked in.....don't let looks deceive. We just wanted a meal before early bed. I had the chicken,bacon and chips, side salad and peas. My wife had beer battered fish and chips. It was freash cooked, hot and tastey. Louis, the young gent who waited at table, was very helpful, charming and a real hard worker. We weren't the only ones who thought that! A couple near us gave him a nice tip. He is a credit to the place.

Wish we never went there place is in need of serious updating not inviting at all,we had food there and drink I have got to say the food was good and drink better tho,it's in a great position to make good money but very poor over all,flies flying around as you walk in,if you are going to go there don't go in the public bar you would Def walk straight out its like a dump .

Went for a meal and drinks whilst staying across the road at Forge accommodation (to be recommended), and had a poor experience. I asked for orange juice and sparkling water or soda. They had neither the orange juice or sparkling water/soda so had to settle for a coke. Husband had a pint of flat bitter which tasted sour and which he left. The menu was ok although there were none of the advertised special's 'Beef Stroganoth ?' left. The food was not of a high standard and we ate as much as was polite before leaving most of it. The lasagne was not to be recommended. The price of the meals was high considering the poor standard. Cheap tomato sauce kind of summed up the whole experience. What a shame as it was not the start to our long awaited holiday that we had wanted. Best to eat before arriving at the accommodation/parking. Lots of lovely looking pubs en route.

Have used this car park . Over the last 10years . I can say we have never had any problems. All I will say is that lots of people going on holidays are on a high. And if your out very. Early in the morning we are tired. And the man that as been working all night . Maybe he to had a ruff Day . People need to give and take . My car as always been ok . And I have never missed my plane . Thank guy for the start and end of my holiday.

Ate here before staying in a bed and breakfast the night before our holiday flight. Great food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and really good service. Clean and tidy.

We stayed at the Forge Accommodation across the road. Good meal if maybe too large a portion with a good ale to wash it all down with and being so near accommodation and airport ideally situated for hungry flyers.

The tavern is located opposite Forge Accommodation and serves excellent food. We arrived in the late aftenoon on a Sunday and were relieved to find out that the Tavern served food until 9pm on a Sunday, last orders 8.45pm. We had a great meal, well cooked, nicely presented and excellent value for money.

No option but to go here when staying at Forge accommodation across the road. Whole place is tired, with surly service, sticky tables and barely edible food. For the truly desperate only.

12 of us had evening meals here before flying on a family holiday.We found the staff very friendly and the food very good we sat out on the decked area and had pleasant couple of hours

Well based on previous reviews left, if you read them, you wouldn't want to eat there, which is most unfair as the food for quality, quantity & value for money is excellent!! We have always eaten there both before flying & on our return for years and find it excellent. It beats some other restaurants hands down.We always find the service behind the bar & Nicola who cooks the food really friendly & they cannot do enough for you & are always willing to adapt your choices due to dietary needs & we love the choices & quality. I have lost lots of weight & Nicola has been so helpful to adapt my meal several times, this time I had a rare treat of her homemade chips with cheese on with my main meal and it was just bliss!Give the food a try, you wont be disappointed. I don't understand some of the poor reviews of food, are we talking about the same place, because it is excellent!Thanks again, you work so hard. If you like eating amongst very drunk locals, shouting and swearing - for this reason alone wouldn't go back.Stayed at the forge and ate here.Bar staff friendly enough but the chef was great - rushed off his feet, working alone, serving tables as well as cooking, knocking out a lot of food which to our surprise was actually very nice. Well done to him.

we booked this as we mistakenly read the forge where we usually park was fully booked, we arrived at 5.00am to a locked cabin , rang the number given us and was told im at the airport ill be 5 mins , fair enough we thought , 20 plus mins later no sign , he eventually showed up about half hour after we called , with an empty van so obviously bull about him picking up from airport, then as more people had arrived he had to book everyone in , it took so long and the van was full people were actually walking to the airport rather than wait , we eventually got there an hour after arriving , and not so much as a apology . on our return we again waited for around 20 mins after they said they were on way , when we rang again the bloke said it was because of traffic ! its one right turn out the car park , not time to encounter too much traffic i would have thought , again no apology , all in all a shower of crap and wont use them again and would advise others to do the same

Ate At the Airport Tavern whilst staying overnight at Forge Accommodation opposite, the food and staff were very good and would recommend highly.

Often visit the Airport Tavern for food, always of excellent quality and quantity. The chef l think is called Martin always delivers our food with a smile, very polite young gentleman. The barmaid always polite and always give a very welcoming smile. Top notch.

Had food here with my partner on Tuesday as we were staying near by, the food was very nice, I had a lovely gammon and my partner had a burger, home made chips were delicious. We did wait a while but that wasn't a problem as the lady behind the bar explained that a big group just ordered. Chef was rushed off his feet so fair play to both him and the lady they did a great job. Would I return here, yes I would and I be ordering more food :)

Sorry, but the food was terrible - could only force myself to eat one third of it... If you have to eat here, then just don't order the veggie burger.

The place is a toilet , food not edible, I asked the girl cooking if she had health and hygiene diploma ? She responded with " wot for " !!!!!!!unfortunately for the airport tavern , I work for Bristol City council as a food inspector !!!!!! Hope your records are up too date guys .

Across the road from the Forge where we stayed for our one night before our early morning flight had a very good welcome and was served with a smile good Guinness and a good choice of wine and real ales ........the food was a good menu to please all taste and serve in very big portion sizes enjoyed by me and partner .will see you in April next year thanks

Luckily stayed at the forge rather than here but was late evening and nowhere close to eat so tried this place. As soon as we walked In we knew it was a bad idea but thought we would give it a try. On waiting to order our drink, across the bar you could see into the next bar which was full of locals singing and dancing which was fine, however a woman from the other side which I believe to be the land lady started to point and laugh at me and my boyfriend and then nudge her friends and whisper and laugh some more! Already we felt very unwelcome! The bar maid seemed quite nice but didn't show us to a table so I had to ask where to sit, "anywhere" she said. We found a table as far away from the noise as we could, it was dirty so expected the bar maid to clear it, no!Ordered food anyway...The chef/waiter bought out our food and he was very polite and said "enjoy your food guys!" He seemed nice and to be fair the food was good. The land lady shouted from the kitchen door to a table of four next to us "we 'ant got no mash, chips alright?" Also if you are going to have happy shopper bottles of tomato sauce on the table, perhaps serve them in pots instead!! All in all we did not feel welcome here and would never ever return. We were relieved to get out! The only reason we are giving two stars instead of one is for the poor chef working his backside off!

Absolutely bloody awful service! We normally use the forge but my partner had a car accident and was sent off to be repaired, it didn't come back until the day before we flew (wasn't sure if we were going to get it back before we went or not) and the forge was fully booked then so we used these instead. The drop off was ok although the bloke was a bit blunt but the pick up was terrible! He didn't help us with our bags so were left struggling with a 2 yr old whilst the other on the bus gave us funny looks, we then got to reception where the old bloke was extremely rude, his phone was ringing so he started shouting at it, there was a lady infront of us and he couldn't find her car key so he said to her "hold on a minute, let me get rid of these kids" referring to me and my partner (24 and 25) he practically chucked the key at us and left us to find the car with no idea where it was, there was 5 of is including a tired 2 yr old, it was midnight, dark, freezing cold, we had all our cases and had to walk around looking for the car. Will never use them again, horrible, rude and the most unhelpful people i have ever come across.

Nice meal and great service received on the night of 2nd September 2015,Pub itself could do with a re vamp as it looks very tired. All in all enjoyable, but then again we were in that pre holiday excited stage!

Certainly the cheapest airport parking near Bristol airport and very close to the terminal. You get what you pay for, basic customer service but efficient and quick transfers. Had to change return flight, no problem, but a slightly concerning comment on the phone: "as long as someone picks up the car, we don't care who".

Booked to stay in the tavern overnight as we were flying out on holiday the next day. Also parked the car there. Arrived and was told the room was £50. For a room above a pub, hence to say we paid. The room was smelly, old, dated, cold, crap tv. Didn't sleep a wink! The noise was appalling I know it was a pub but music blasting till 1.30am!! We was up at 3.30 to catch a flight! Got up to the most grumpiest man on 2 legs he was so rude!! Baring in mind I hadn't slept and he told my partner park the car but don't block anyone in, really? Everyone was blocked in it's a car park!! He was the rudest man id ever met!! Arrived back (driven by another rude man) to our car parked out the front of the pub blocked in by someone and it covered in thick dust and all muddy footprints on the carpets. Moral of this review is do not stay here or park your car. There a joke and so right rude.

Do not stay at this place, our room was damp and smelled disgusting, there was a big crack in the ceiling and you could see the damp patch spreading down the wall. The room wasn't en-suite, we had to use a shared toilet and bathroom which wasn't a problem for us as the place wasn't exactly busy. On arrival we were greeted nicely, and we decided to have a few drinks and an evening meal in the bar area downstairs, the chef wasn't so friendly and even came out shouting using expletives to the waitress for sending in two orders at a time! The food itself was excellent when it arrived so no problems there, we decided to get an early night as we would be up early for our flight, that's where the problems started. Our room was right above the main bar and next to the main car park and car park entrance area, it was just so noisy, the bar stayed open until at least 1am, we could hear everything going on in the bar downstairs, and from 2am onwards we could hear cars arriving, car doors opening and shutting, suitcases being unloaded/loaded into the transfer mini bus, the mini bus itself coming and going all night. I didn't get a bit of sleep and gave up trying after 3am! Not the best start to our trip and I certainly did not feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Exhausted more like. I won't ever stay here again, there are plenty of other options in the area, cheaper too that also offer transfers to the airport terminal.

Stopped here for a meal with friends and enjoyed a meal of fish and chips whilst my friends had a meal of scampi with chips. They are all from a fishing village and there was no complaints about the quantity or quality of their meals.. We all had a few drinks and the meals were all reasonably priced with a quick service. I had seen reports on Google from overnight visitors which were poor but we found everything was good though we were staying at near bye accommodation.

We was booked across the road, me and partner and 2 children (5, 10) the barmaid was vile with the worst customers services ever. We was made to feel unwelcome, my partner kindly went up to ask if the channel could be change, her nasty reply was ' no the channel is stuck on this" Soon our meals came to us which I may say was value for money and filling. The ignorant barmaid, saw the children wanted tomatoe sauce, she didnt help to get it from top shelf..I went back up to the bar to get another drink, I noticed that the channel had been changed, the barmaid saw me looking and couldn't face me she left me standin there.. I was there first she turned her back on me served someone else who latet came to the bar... The overall experience was the worst ive experienced , please take note this is not a family or friendly place to attend.. Its not a friendly inviting place, it filthy and stinks.. On a nice day couldn't sit out side has 3 dogs in the pub yard, urine over the place toilets need a good cleaning doors hanging off... Places like this give pubs a port reputation stuck up arrogant barmaid along with disgusting filthy pub.. We didny finish out meals or drinks and couldn't wait to get out of here

Originally booked parking for two weeks for our holiday to Tunisia but had to change destination and fly a day later, I phoned and asked for this to be altered and the lady said it was fine and that she would sort it. When I arrived they had no note or anything to say that I had changed the date and times, although the guy was okay about it and it was sorted. Apart from that I had no problems with the service.
