Stopped here for the first time and so glad we did. The welcome was warm and friendly. The carvery was amazing hot tasty and great value for money. Lot's of choice from the carvery and vegetables were also cooked very well. I would recommend booking as it was almost full when we got there at 3pm and was still very busy when we left st 5pm .

Had booked a table for Sunday lunch. Arrived to find the floor was still being vacuumed and only one table was laid and we were the only customers. Gave drinks order then, when brought , gave food order. It arrived between 5-10 minutes later. We were convinced the food had been heated in a microwave, my husband’s beef was tasteless and veg was undercooked and gravy was watery and flavourless. My chicken was a chicken portion not even sliced. When we left about 40 minutes later there were three more tables occupied.

This is the first time we have been to the coach and horses and we were not disappointed! Although they were very busy we looked after very well. My daughter is very fussy but the staff had no difficulty to accommodate her needs. There was a bit of wait for the food but it was well worth it! The beef was cooked beautifully and came with lots of vegetables and cauliflower cheese! Will recommend to all our friends and we will be back soon! Thanks to all.

We always have a good meal in the Glass Maker, there is plenty of room, tables well-spaced, all very clean. My friend had the all-day brunch, and I had the chicken jalfrezi. All perfect! Staff are really nice, so jolly and friendly! Toilet pristine! Highly recommended!

Sadly, it was not to our expectations. Such good reports of how amazing the food was, was very disappointing. The menu on line, is no comparison to the menu offered on the day. My son had baked potato with tuna ect, with no complaint… myself and other son, because of lack of choice decided to have fried breakfast, thinking you can’t possibly mess this up, but it was disgusting!it was like they had cooked the ingredients in dirty old fat… my son struggled to eat his, where generally he is a good eater and tries to eat mine too. When the barman picked up our finished full plates, he didn’t ask if everything was ok… I had to tell him , the bacon tasted strange as did the fried tomatoes… I would not eat there again, Daisies cafe I would recommend, it’s cheaper and tastier. Come away very disappointed as trip advisor made the bird in hand sound brilliant… I was looking to have a family celebration in the near future, but it won’t be there now. So disappointed

Visited after the gallery, had been beforehand and they did lovely salads, quiches, coffee and cakes, hadn't realised menu had changed but thought would try it, big mistake. Overpriced, over £40 for soft drink and 1 course lunch, worst thing was service, unfriendly, miserable staff, won't bother going there again. Porthmeor cafe on the beach outside has far better views, lovely staff and great food so will stick to going there!

My wife & I had booked this to pay a visit before the boxing last Saturday. The booking said it would open at 5pm so we turned up at 6:10pm to be told it was closed! I then asked the polite ladies at the entrance if it was really only open for 1 hour that night and they laughed and said yes. All a bit of a waste of time for 1 hour! Don’t bother wasting your time.

We recently visited The Royal Oak pub with high hopes, as it’s conveniently located for us and we were excited to make it a regular spot. Unfortunately, our experience this evening fell short of expectations. The food was mediocre, (salad we asked to be served on the side didn’t materialise and the tuna mayonnaise jacket potato was mainly mayonnaise and not served with the crisps as stated in the menu). Everything lacked the flavours and quality we anticipated. Additionally, our drinks order was never brought to the table, which was disappointing. To add to our concerns, we noticed another couple refusing to eat their food and leaving shortly after it was delivered, citing that it wasn't up to standard. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant, and it seems like a great place to relax with a pint. We would love to see some improvements in the food and service, as we’d really like to support a local establishment. Here’s hoping for a better experience next time.

I went to the grange for a nice Sunday roast with my family and most of us came back sad disappointed and a bit angry. The potatoes were hard and what seems to be Stale the vegetables were near inedible. I will say the meat was really nice but what really made us all sad and disappointed the kitchen staff were really rude. Other than young lady on the till a couple others. Safe to say I won’t be going back in a rush and definitely will not recommend to others.

Visited today with my wife Lovely meal of cod and chips and a curry sauce Two teas to round off a wonderful meal Fish batter was lovely and crispy, lovely white flakes of fish, chips lovely and fluffy in middle and crispy on outside Will definitely be calling in again whilst on holiday Highly recommended
