Went here with a small group of friends. The waitress looking after us was friendly, informative and very accommodating. The food was fab and well priced. would recommend.

What a FAB roast dinner I consider myself quite an expert on roasts and this was the best I can remember locally to Looe or otherwise ..served on a wooden platter we had one for 3 to share..I of us os a big eater! But there was plenty we had belly pork with crispy perfect crackling Chicken and braised beef stuffed yorkshires all the vegetables were fresh and loved the beetroot incidentally We will be going again and hope they keep up this high standard Visit was 1pm Sunday 23rd Feb..

Had a fabulous sharing platter roast: lovely heart food, so much food we are full!!! Definitely recommend the Harbour moon, very cool place, lovely helpful staff, dog friendly and great views over the harbour - even on a rainy day😁🧡😁

Horrible. Place was practically empty and we were not made to feel welcome! Barman needs a lesson in common sense and customer service, would not go back.

Read about the roast so went to try it out. Didn’t disappoint. Huge portions perfectly cooked. Big range of veggies. Josh our waiter was very friendly and efficient. Will visit again this week but may have to kidnap the chef when I go back to Winchester on Friday!!

Popped in here to take shelter and grab a Guinness while on Holiday. Great atmosphere, very friendly locals and what an amazing bar and selection, possibly the best bar in Looe! Had a great chat with a local who was born in same hospital as myself, St Mary's, Paddington and had moved to Looe. Great Guinness, such a great stop in Looe. Sean the Bar Man top Man! Great view of the Harbour. Summer this place must be amazing!

Strange establishment, no character on the outside, compared to the rest of Looe. Reminded one of a campsite bar/diner. The only positive was that it overlooks the harbour/river. Thought I would give it a go, Inside was something reminiscent of an old fashioned, furniture store. Quirky but interesting for some, maybe? Tacky, I unfortunately, felt. An underlying atmosphere of hostility and what I perceived as staff who were not necessarily rude, but untrained in customer service. I drank half of my drink and made my way over to East Looe.

Loved our evening here, the bar staff were friendly, welcoming and chatty. The beer was good, I had the Proper Job, my wife doesn’t drink so had a red J2O. We found a table and order food. I had the 10oz Sirloin, my wife the steak and ale pie, there was so much she could finish it. The meat was melt in the mouth, the chips were outstanding!! My sirloin was cooked perfectly rare and what a crust and flavour!! Hats off to the chef! Would highly recommend if visiting Looe

The new Sunday roast platters are a foodie heaven fit for the gods! At £16.50 per head, you get a huge stacked wooden board comprising of roast chicken, belly pork with perfect crackling, slow-cooked beef brisket stuffed inside an enormous homemade yorkie pud and pigs in blankets! Perfect roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips and beetroot. This is complimented with a side of cabbage, mashed swede and green beans. There was a jug of real proper gravy with bits of brisket floating in it. Everything is portions controlled so that each guest gets a fist full of each meat, it was honestly double what the average person can eat! We all got to take home a doggie bag. I also must commend the fantastic service and amazing bar tending, the team here can't do enough for you. The pub itself has a great atmosphere, it has pool tables and games, is family-friendly, but also has outside seating with some of the best views of Looe.

Stunning pub with great view of both the river estuary and East Looe. Very friendly welcome from the staff. We ordered Sirloin which was served with garlic fried green beans and mushrooms, onion rings, a generous and well presented side salad and chips. Calling the chips such is ridiculous they were connoisseur rustic fries and the best we have tasted. The steaks, both medium rare, were cooked perfectly. 10/10 honestly.

We had lunch at the Harbour Moon inn It was excellent, The selection on the menu was very good and a good selection of drinks, Staff were very friendly and good service was had, Lovely view over harbour.

Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is very well presented, with a beautiful view of the river. The interior decor is very well done and left clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful, happy and friendly. The food was absolutely incredible. From the kids burgers to the steak, all of the meals were perfect. We all had a wonderful evening and The Harbour Moon Inn will be our first stop on our return to Looe next year.

The food here is delicious and plentiful. Everytime I visit Looe this is my go to place for an evening meal. What was ordered: 1x steak and mushroom pie, chips and peas Without a doubt the best pie you can have in your life. 1x Steak This was cooked to perfection. The accompaniments such as the vegetables was delicious 1x child’s chicken burger Portion sizes was plentiful. Food tasty. Drinks had a good selection. Prices reasonable Will definitely be coming back again the next time I’m back in Cornwall

Been here on several occasions, sometimes just a drink and this evening for a meal. Small issue with my meal, but Meghan was a doll and soon had it sorted. Nice menu with more variety than most in Looe for vegetarians 🌱

We didn't book and we were very lucky as they accommodated 6 of us for dinner. Great service, our waitress was lovely. The food was absolutely fantastic can not fault it. Huge portions

We enjoyed our visits this year. Sat both inside and out with the dogs. The place has changed time and again over the years but this incarceration is doing fine. We had a Sunday roast, struggled in East Looe and was almost the last resort as we stay in Hannafore. It did not disappoint. Thank you very much

Walked in and met My Sopie...really pleasent and very welcoming...orderd steak pie as I've enjoyed this particular dish on several occasions in the past three weeks....the pub stands out of the other pubs in Looe....I will be going to the carvery on Sunday...the steak is top end and sauce is the best I have ever tasted.. thankyou again Sophie, this Is the place to eat drink and feel very welcome....

We had a roast dinner at the Harbour Moon Inn bar today. Although service was slow as they were having some equipment issues in the kitchen. We didn’t mind as the food was well worth the wait. My husband had roast beef & I had nut roast. There was plenty to eat and unless you have a huge appetite no need to order the larger size roast. Really worth the money when often pubs try to charge a lot but cut down the size of a meal certainly not the case here.

Walked into this pub at 19.43 asked for 2 beers. During pouring the girl behind bar said "We are closing at at 20.00. I asked that she stopped pouring the beer and left.

We visited on Mothering Sunday not really lunch or dinner as it was about 3.30pm looking for a roast. We could not find anywhere in Looe which had anything like a roast or in fact any kind of decent pub meal at that time and popped in to the Harbour Moon Inn to ask if they were serving food. We were advised that they were until 6.30pm but no roast. On looking at the menu we were pleasantly surprised to find Nanny Annie's Cobbler. The closest we could find to a roast and we all ordered except one, who ordered the Steak Pie. The food was amazing! There was plenty of it and it was extremely tasty. I can't recommend this enough, we all enjoyed our meal. The owner was very attentive and ensured that we were looked after. The young blond girl behind the bar was serving drinks, taking orders, delivering food and clearing tables all on her own. The prices were very reasonable too. The decor inside is very quirky and we really liked it. The boys enjoyed a game of pool whilst we waited. This pub is also dog friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

Visted this pub on Saturday afternoon, as we entered there was a terrible smell. Approched the bar and the smell was overwhelming. The smell was of gone off milk. We couldn't stay as it was making us feel ill.

Avoid this place it is disgusting 🤮 myself my husband and our friends called in To have a drink …….as soon as we opened the door to go in we were greeted to the smell of vomit it really was that bad I started heaving at the smell 🤮🤮 …..the barmaid didn’t really careless , she poured my friend a pint of cider and made my friend pay for it even though my friend didn’t want it…….but we all decided that there was no way we were going to stay because the smell was that bad we will never go back in there again !!!!

Saw a few bad reviews on here but thought we would visit and make our own opinions as it looked lovely from the outside. A really nice bar, we were the first in so was very quiet. Staff not very attentive and Manager was swearing loudly repetitively right next to our table. Another group came in shortly after asked for menus but then were never served so they left just as we did, shame as it really is nice inside

Friendly welcoming staff, lovely sea food plater, and we had a beautiful view of looe from where we were seated. I will be visiting again next time I go to looe.

Brilliant crew. We came down for a few quiet days at tencreek caravans and we wondered I. And out of Looe a few times. Being winter and with some businesses on restricted opening, we stopped at the Harbour moon Inn twice in two days. First evening was lovely, relaxed, great environment and friendly people. The second day we had walked along the coast path and stopped for a well deserved break at the Harbour Moon. Hannah and Jo were working the bar in between other projects so we got to spend some time with them. Great people and great atmosphere. Loved the amazing choice of drinks I. The bar, the music is chilled and fun and the people coming and going we’re a mix of locals and winter visitors. Brilliant relaxed atmosphere but also really fin and chatty with Hannah and Jo and really enjoyed getting to spend the afternoon with them with such scenic surroundings. recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Honest review as always. We came here for a meal earlier in the year and it was delicious. Came again on our next visit to Looe and we couldn't fault it. The food was lovely. I had the pie and it was so tasty and filling, good chunks of meat. The portion sizes of each meal was plentiful. Very friendly staff and attentive. They greeted us warmly, We really enjoyed it. Definitely our go to pub when we come to Looe. Couldn't fault one thing. Reasonably priced, clean and a good atmosphere. Thank you

Having been to the Harbour Moon last year, with a fantastic menu & warm welcome, we made the mistake of trying to go there with party of 9 family for dinner, mid-week height of season at 6.30pm. You can't pre book. When they realised there were 9 people (incl one baby, so really only 8), there was a lot of huffing & rolling of eyes. It was "too much". The kitchen "could not cope" with such a "huge" order. Funnily enough, the place was empty. So we said how about a table of 5, and the others go sit somewhere else? No, no good! We said what if 5 people just came in, then a totally separate group came in after that? A:"We would have to turn them away". WHAT?? Incredible. Early evening in the height of season. We had a drink at the bar, then left. Thankfully, chips all round at Kellys in Looe Harbour saved the day. Harbour Moon: great place, nice menu (only if less than 5 people!), but service is a joke. Sad.

Popped into the bar in the hope of having lunch. We hadn’t booked. Shabby looking pub but it was busy so that was s good sign. There was two tables of 4 free & a few twos. My friend went to sit down & was told they had just had people ring in for tables so we left. I was at the bar & a couple with children went in asked could they have a table & were told to sit anywhere. It would of been nice if they said “we can’t accommodate you now but come back at x time” We would of waited outside with a drink. Or they could of said sorry we’re fully booked all day. Food looked great so a big disappointment for us. Then we were stood outside on opposite wall outside pub whilst waiting for my husband to check availability elsewhere. A waitress came out & told us to move our car as the boss needed the space. We didn’t have a car & explained we’d got the train to looe from liskeard. We then went to where my husband was but as we couldn’t get in another pub we walked back past this one. Then a waitress came running up to us by the bridge & asked us to move our car. Again we explained we came by train. I offered to show the young lady my ticket on the phone as she honestly didn’t believe us. Then she told us “everybody in the pub said it’s you & pointed to you”. Finally she left us-she was very polite but I didn’t appreciate being accused in the street of parking my car outside the pub-TWICE! Two couples all age 60 went home by TRAIN!

My fav dining experience in Looe this week and we’ve eaten out some where different every night. The staff could not have been more friendly and what Joe doesn’t know about cocktails and the alcohol he sells isn’t worth knowing. Everyone was really friendly and the food was stunning. I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked and the portion was huge. The decor is brilliant, I love the attention to detail and quirkiness that fills the place, even the loo is a hall of fabulous mirrors. They have great taste and style. Well we can’t quite understand it. Beautiful place on a lovely location. We were enjoying a great evening and last orders called at 9.30 with a busy bar 🤷‍♂️. Asked to leave on “owners orders”. The owners are either very rich and use this as a hobby business or haven’t a clue how to maximise profit l. Such a shame.

We usually eat in the main street of Looe but fancied a change and ventured over the bridge. We were over the moon with our discovery of this wonderful pub. The menu was extensive and the food arrived promptly. The young man serving us was awesome, and a credit to the establishment. He was talkative, informative and friendly, like we knew him. The food really blew us away. It tasted and looked incredible, so much attention to detail. Also, being a dog friendly pub gets extra points! The decor was really interesting, so many quirky things to see, and spotlessly clean throughout.

We popped over 1st night of our hols not main season & place had max 15people had loads of empty tables & was only excepting people eating @8:15 pm , bit sad really as a few people after is & as-well as us only wanted drinks surely at this opening stage after opening back up & on a quiet evening bums on seats drinking is better then no one helps out ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️shame as in future years has had a fantastic sat night..may not make the walk over bridge in future..hotel next door very accommodating xx

We hadn't booked, but there were tables free. However, we were warned that service would be very slow due to staff shortages (Brexit). We didn't mind, as we were able to order drinks from the bar and, as suggested, sit and watch the world go by. Though mainly we watched the waitresses (mother, daughter and almost daughter-in-law) racing back and forth - such hard workers! When finally, after two pints, the food arrived, we were not disappointed. It was pub grub, but hot and tasty and there was plenty of it. We loved the quirkiness of the place and go there again.

We enjoyed a really lovely meal with generous portions and excellent choice for veggies. Very well cooked food and great service, would recommend.

At a time when it was hard to get a booking elsewhere in Looe, the staff were friendly and helpful in squeezing us in. Once there, the food was delicious and the service prompt. Well done and thank you!

booked a 1 night romantic break ! thought it was en suite but you had to walk down a corridor. window cills dropping to pieces, my lap top is bigger than the tv. emailed to book the restaurant only to arrive and not serving food. left baggage, emailed and called 23 times.. no answer! good view but not worth £160 for 1 night, after covid peep wont pay these prices or return..... go to a travel lodge. very dissapointed

Welcomed on arrival, shown to our table by polite pleasant lady. The hostelry is somewhat dated but is expected due to the past/current situation. It was early evening so food soon arrived, not glamorous but more than adequate portions and well cooked and tasty. After paying the bill well over £100 as we left two waitress’s looked as we left never said thank you goodbye nothing. This really bugs me as it’s all smiles until you have paid the bill then that’s it. Sorry. Would have been 5 star . Drink prices are on the expensive side as most places there.

Where do I start? Table booked for 7.30 but had to ask at around 8.15 if we could place our order only to be told there were others ahead of us ! When we could order ,a starter of ribs and a pizza we were told we had to have 2 mains . Ok, so we booked 2 mains and the food finally arrived at 8 50 a bit late we thought . This is not all bad the food was absolutly delicious . The problem and absolute disgraceful customer service happened when the manager came to apologise for the wait but started ranting about why it was late ,why we couldn't have a starter and a main to share and how each table has to make a certain amount of money .We asked her to leave us so we could eat our food but she continued. We then started chatting to a very nice barman (Tall ,dark hair) when the manager came back she started again and in view of other customers said to him don't speak to them . She then told us if we weren't happy to get up and leave .So we left our half eaten, long awaited very tasty food. If you want good food ,go .If you want to wait above an hour and be spoken to and treated like muck then also go .

The food at the Harbour moon is always good, however, just lately had been exceptional. You are always greeted with a friendly smile and the service is fab. The harbour moon has seating outside, inside, in the bar where dogs are welcome and inside, in the restaurant. They have a vast selection of drinks and a varied menu to suit all dietary requirements. The relaxed atmosphere with low level music makes it really cozy in there and suitable for all ages.

We only called for drinks and to see whether we'd like to pop back for food on another night - we won't be returning. The bar is limited with no proper hand pull beer on offer. The place itself is tired and outside, every table had empty glasses piled up so clearly tables were not being cleared regularly. The staff seemed pretty disinterested and it just didn't feel like a place you'd want to return to.

Me and my family often visit Cornwall in the summer, and lie happens to be one of our favourite places to go. After a long, tiring and rainy day we stumbled upon this little hidden gem on the quay side. We were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from our waitress ( didn’t catch her name but she had a cute good septum). Although they had a full house that evening we were regularly checked up on and never left waiting. The food was incredible with fresh fish and decadent curry. Over all I couldn’t have asked for anything else. The view from our table was also very pleasant ☺️
