Eden Project Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

It is always a huge queue for overpriced and rather underwhelming food. There's nowhere near enough s3ating either My advice it that you bring your own food and find a bench.

Went for Paulo Nutini Eden Session. Food choice is poor, only veggie option was a bean burger - so opted just for a side of Hash Browns, menu showed GF beside it but key at bottom of menu showed GF as 'gluten free optional'?? So I asked the server (clearly young seasonal staff) if I had to request it to be GF (not a serious allergy but an allergy nontheless). She dithered for a while and eventually said 'yeah they are GF - well I'm pretty sure!' She clearly had no idea and could not be bothered to find out. If you have a serious food allergy - take great care!

After visiting the fabulous Biomes, we decided to have some lunch before exploring the grounds outside. The choice of food on offer was very good and all cooked fresh on site. We ordered a gluten free Margherita pizza and a salad bowl to share. The pizza was cooked fresh to order. We didn’t have to wait long for it, and we were not disappointed with it. As a sharing dish, we had three large slices each. The good sized salad was really delicious. Mixed varieties of tomatoes, homemade coleslaw, potato salad, red cabbage, dried peas( I think) cucumber and pea leaves. We had a fruit tea and a coffee. Overall, delicious food, reasonable price of £23 and friendly staff. We chatted to a chef and a waiter after, to compliment them on the food, particularly the delicious coleslaw.

To say they open about 9am...nothing like breakfast available which for a cafe/restaurant is very odd indeed!!! Nearest you can get is a sausage roll. This needs addressing in my mind, breakfast and brunch are the new lunch. That said everything we ate and drank was very well thought out and put together. The menus are simple, and not extensive, but the taste and quality really make up for that.

Despite a busy October half term we enjoyed a bite to eat in the restaurant closest to the gift shop & main entrance. Simple sandwiches/toasties & hot drinks, served efficiently and they did not compromise on taste & quality of ingredients.

We bought pizza from the Biome Kitchen and burgers from the Stage Kitchen. The meals were good quality and enjoyed apart from the poorly cooked fries. Both outlets are little more than kiosks with a limited but expensive menu. I really miss the bustling café/restaurant that used to sit between the two biomes.

Be aware if you are gluten free and visit with your dog the only thing I could find to eat was a packet of crisps and a pre packed gluten free cake. Their website claims gluten free choices but you would be better served taking your own lunch.

Once we had figured out the ordering system we had a very tasty lunch of pizza and halloumi bites. Reasonable prices for a busy attraction

Not for the first time we turned up for breakfast and not really anything you would traditionally call breakfast such as a bacon bap? Full English? Etc etc...why ? We had the sourdough toasties which were tasty, albeit on the expensive side. Flat white was OK but not strong like it should be. All in clean, tidy and friendly staff, just consider breakfast, please!

Ok so they are very expensive for a lunch time snack and the ordering system is crazy, maybe look at online ordering? But oh my word the pizza are amazing! So tasty and perfectly cooked and I may endure Eden again to have another in the future!

The best part of the Eden project, was the food, though there are very long queues to purchase it and it isn't cheap. But it is very tasty!

Bought burgers and chips at the snow patrol session. Chips were hot and tasty unfortunately the burgers were completely the opposite. They were cold and had no actual flavour or seasoning. We watch the ‘chef’ dish up numerous burgers in fact they filled the service space approximately three layers before they were served. I wonder how much food waste was created. My colleague said the same about the burgers he bought at the mcfly session. Really not good enough.

Surprised that the food options at the Eden project were poor. There are separate outlets selling pizzas, pasties and burritos, which means separate queues (long!) for everything. Impossible to even get a sandwich! Don't understand why there isn't a proper cafe where you can just choose from a range of things and pay for everything together. National Trust and RHS sites manage it. A pity as everything else was amazing.

We enjoyed the pasties, pizzas, toasties and sausage rolls. Very quickly served and very hot. Tasted delicious.

Peckish so wanted to try their Pizza we both had the meat version place your order at the kiosk collect find a table. The pizzas are fresh made to order thin crispy base with a delicious topping finished with a sprinkling of rocket delicious the best part of the day good value. Definitely recommend a visit to this cafe

No longer exists. Had been replaced by two food outlets with staff who don't even know what food is vegan. I hate to think what might happen with someone who actually has food allergies.

Avoid, high prices and not very clean, in fact the place needs a good wash and refurbishment all very grubby and sticky

Since covid they have changed the style of the restaurant. No more proper meals, just pizza, sandwiches and burritos. Pizza and burritos tasty but shame the proper food isn't on offer anymore.

A great choice of menus and the price is ok if there are just a couple of you (if you're there as a family it might prove to be cheaper to bring your own food). We'd brought our own food, but were so tempted by the choice and price that we bought cooked meals here!

Absolutely loved the food at the Eden Kitchen, good heart food with generous portions, even though I live my meat and fish the freshly cooked veggies were absolutely delicious!

We had the chicken pie and lots and lots of roast potatoes and roast veggies. Amazing food, much better than one expects given the cafeteria style service.

The Eden Kitchen ‘Link’ between the 2 Biome’s served a lovely chicken and mushroom pie, delicious. Perfect for a long day at the Eden Project

Very poor quality food. It all looked good but was tasteless and bland. Such a shame really, I would suggest small portions of better food.

For a food outlet supplying a captive audience inside an attraction I thought it was great. The food was tasty and for where it is I thought it was pretty good value.

Ordered the chicken & mushroom pie and a mushroom and Leek pie both supplied with plenty of vegetables. Quality of everything was excellent. Good value for money. Limited but good menu.

Average “pub” food and prices, nothing wrong with the quality of the food but the queues were excessive both for food and for the drinks

Had lunch with all the family, really enjoyable and was a convenient place to eat in the middle of a busy day. Plenty of choice and a great selection of vegetarian options.

We had the sweet potato and goats cheese tart with a trio of salads. The food was so fresh and tasted delicious. It is a little pricey however we devoured every bit. We will eat here again.

Food nice but they charge for it drinks can be brought for £1 cheaper upstairs and still consumed in the food hall ???

Excellent choice of different foods that I probably wouldn't order in a restaurant or cafe so for that alone it deserves 5 stars for testing my prejudices.

The food was very nice and tasty. It wasnt too expensive but there again there was only two of us . Enjoyed it

Good selection of world foods, cooked on site using locally sourced produce as well of produce grown on site. Reasonably priced with a quick turnaround in the queues. Really happy with choice as vegetarians.

Fantastic knowledgeable service, super fresh delicious food though they don't have that much choices of foods, I especially like the cassava fries, the places is very fast but the organise self service which is super fast.

Being a big family we can't afford to eat or drink at the Eden project. But the food hall always smelled amazing and did make me feel hungry lol.

Had lunch in the cafe on site. Interesting choice of world food, and we enjoyed a jerk chicken wrap.

If you are at Eden Project for a while, this is a great place to have lunch, a new experience of foods from around the world. Fast efficient service.

A bit expensive but nice tasty food ,a bit spicy hot but lovely and nice helpful staff clean tables and provided tissue to clean your hands and face

We had a cauliflower steak and it was absolutely delicious, and good value too. A side of their lattice chips further enhanced the experience.

We regularly visit the Eden Project for music concerts. The food options give you good choice and they're reasonable value. Although the queues mean you really need to give yourself at least 30 minutes in line, so take that into account when deciding when to arrive. Limited seating to eat given the numbers, but everyone finds somewhere. I'd prefer to eat here than outside, as you get the atmosphere of this very special location.

Well what can I say.... if your a fussy eater like me then we are doomed!.

Using locally grown and sourced food the kitchen provides healthy food at a reasonable cost. There are microwaves to heat babies bottles, tap water all around.

we loved the choice of food and food itself. but the service is on the slow side, thats accounting for the amount of people using the facilities at the time.

Had 2 delicious meal, as I visited 2x. They use food they grow & you can watch it being cooked - so many good ideas in one place! Free water. 3 salads, you can have some of each. Familiar & newer food ideas. Excellent. Do put your cup back in right place - these plastic cups can be washed! Try an ice cream at the Ice Cream bar = Best Chocolate ever!

There is every sort of food to have here from a snack to a pasty to a full meal or a cream tea - all at quite reasonable prices and very nice and clean and well presented.

Excellent food, well presented, able to have a child's portion for small appetite adult without query - very good prices, well served and good size portions -

We had the Burrito and Salad and the Cassava chips which were delicious and would recommend them. Don't expect it to be cheap.

Whilst visiting the Eden project we ate in-house at the Eden Kitchen, situated between the two main greenhouse domes.

I wasn't sure I'd be able to find anything to eat as I've recently been told to avoid all gluten and dairy. However, all the side salads were dairy and gluten free and the cauliflower steak was perfect.

A very good menu with excellent salad and cake choices. Benches a bit hard and difficult to get in for older bottoms. Better in the afternoon. Helpful staff.

It's rare to go to a place and have lots of veggie/vegan options especially for older kids (who're too old for a child's menu but might not yet have fully developed adult tastes). Anyway, the Korean sweet and spicy pulled Jackfruit and kimchi rice bowl was sublime and my 11-year old declared the Keralan cauliflower and coconut rice wrap to be utterly delicious. And we both fell head of heels for the Cassava fries. We were both so stuffed we had to wait a bit before we could fit in any ice-cream. :-).

If you just want a coffee or anything up from a pastie this is the spot for you. Lunch is served from 12 and there were many delicious options on the buffet, served for you with choices for several salads. Kids sized serves featured

Five us went to the Eden Kitchen for drinks and snacks. OK but not great. Quite expensive, but you don't have much option when in the park.

We ate here in April 19 and had the sandwiches/wraps. I had the Falefal wrap which was vegetarian but found it a little dry and way too big (I only ate half) My husband had a cheese and pickle sandwich, again a fair size. We both bought a packet of crisps and a bottled drink and this was nice but I found the price of these two meals a little on the dear side. Next time we will take our own packed lunch.

We ate here whilst at the Eden Project recently. We decided to have a snack, which turned into a wonderful meal. We had the Baked Cauliflower with a side of Turmeric Potatoes and three different types of salad. We shared this between the two of us and it was ample and wonderful. Never had Baked Cauliflower before and loved it so much I am cooking it for my dinner tonight!

The service may not be at top speed but the food looks very good lots of people buying it we just had coffee and a muffin as we were eating out that night

Not cheap but very good considering they're catering for hundreds of people at a time. Local bottled beers were good too.

Service very slow 1 hr waiting for the food , but the food was decent portions and tasty, but prices a bit expensive .

The food inside is a disappointment, we remember when bread was made here, the ovens are still here but get used to reheat macaroni cheese, shame they didn’t put the pasty and chips in there as they were cold, the forgettable cheese and onion pasty as should be called, as someone forgot the cheese and substituted more potato. The soup was clearly made of leftover vegetables with very little imagination. We run a street food business and just are dumbfounded by the poor quality and choice.

The food itself is average, nothing fancy but nothing was bad. The problem is the price, it’s extremely expensive and there are no cheaper options for customers who are on a smaller budget. I also found that there wasn’t a huge variety of food on offer.

We decided to have lunch at the mediterranean style restaurant during our visit to the Eden project. I ordered a goats cheese salad which was a struggle to eat as it was mostly coarse greens. The next day I was right off my food and by the following day I had a high temperature, aching joints and severe diarrhoea. Diagnosis viral gastric flu caused by poor kitchen hygiene. The Eden trip was our only venture out over Christmas and no other family members became ill, ( they had eaten hot food).

Food is very good and I'm glad the vegetables and fruit are grown here. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Everything is spotless. Not that expensive. We had fish salads which tasted great and tea.

Good wholesome food. What we ate was delicious. Huge open space to eat in, nice atmosphere. We would eat here again.

The food was over priced for what it was, and I struggled to get my children to eat it as they complained their pasta was watery. Real shame really because we love the Eden project

Standard fare at top prices. Also - if I fancy a pastie why do I have to wait until 12:00? On top of very high entrance costs eating here is too expensive for many families.

Popped in with family, we all had a cake. They were nice. Now for the coffee we ordered 2 cappuccinos, got given 2 flat whites, by a young lad serving saying it was a cappuccino. We told him it was a flat white or a latte. As you can't do a flower pattern on a cappuccino. He then said I've always made them this way. My husband asked him to make him a new cappuccino. Which was the same again. Maybe the staff could do with some coffee training.

Quite a noisy arena when busy but the food and service are reasonable. Half an hour before closing much of the sandwiches and similar lines are sold off at reduced prices making it very good value

Healthy food, might be too healthy for some. For the price we were more than happy. Don't expect to find Pepsi, Coke etc on their list. It's all healthy from start to end.

There are a number of cafes throughout the complex, with the largest being at the Biodomes. Some have limited food options, so chose what suits you best.

We stopped for hot drinks, cake and scones during our family visit. The scones were fine and were served with good clotted cream and some rather tasteless red jam. The chocolate and raspberry cake looked lovely but was very dry. The hot chocolate was nice but a small mug for the high price, tea and coffee was fine. Overall it is a very expensive place to eat, the barn like surroundings make it noisy and chilly especially near the doors. It’s self service and self clearing, has the atmosphere of a school canteen and the food is disappointing. If we go the the Eden Project again, which is highly likely as it is fascinating, we will take a picnic.

My hotbfood was served on a cold plate and by the time we found somewhere to sit down it was very cold and unpleasant as it was very Mushy. After being charged an extortionate entrance fee for 3 OAPs the whole visit was very disappointing.

Plenty of choice. Hot & cold meals available. A bit on the expensive side but only to be expected. Weather was quite good so able to eat on the terrace

This cafe only seves four cooked meals, but they are very tasty and plentiful. There is a further part that cooks tacos and another part that does pasties and sandwiches. The cafe eating areas get very busy inside, but there is further seating outside.

Avoid! Whilst it is nice to go out for the day, unladen with too much to carry, take your own food! Not only because it will be better, but because it will be so much cheaper as well! We are at the Mexican part in the food hall. Whilst the survery is fairly fast, having one till open, means by the time you get to pay, your food is cold! Also the prices are extortionate! If you have a family, your ripped off!

Horrible, overpriced, tasteless food.

Purely to provide food within this venue. Smell of food spoils the garden experience adjacent. Had to ask for mugs of tea to be changed as staff put their hands on the rim - not hygienic- shows lack of applicable training

Spoilt for choices so you definitely will not go hungry. Most of the food is grown on site which is so wonderful. No need to pack and take your own there when there is a huge choice right here

We had an afternoon visit to Eden today. Later in the afternoon we decided to stop for a coffee and cake. The children had muffins and apple juice and a hot chocolate. We had a saffron bun and a chocolate and raspberry cake and coffees . Drinks were nice and most of the cakes but the chocolate and raspberry cake was extremely dry and tasteless. I expected more for the money. If we were to go again we would definitely pack a lunch/snack.

We have eaten many times in the various cafes and not once have we been able to rave over the food. As we tend to go with family perhaps it is too much to expect that everyone enjoys their food, but this last visit even our Grandson refused to eat the chips! They were so dry and boring and so was the macaroni cheese. In fact the macaroni cheese must have been kept on a warm plate for a long time to be so dried and stuck to the bottom. The scones were good though and a good helping of jam and cream , but the cream in the Madeira sponge must have been made with lard to get such a weird greasy taste!

The food is fresh and very nice. There was a good variety of food and the children really enjoyed it. Very reasonably priced.

The soup was tasty but cold and there wasn’t a great choice. Not being able to make a packed lunch before setting out it was an expensive snack.

Me and my partner got a coffee here, the coffee was nice and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and the cafe was very clean

Wide range of food available including pastries, fresh sandwiches, soup and cakes. The beverages, especially the coffee are excellent and include both alcoholic and non alcoholic cold drinks.

Lots of healthy options and lots of choice for vegetarians. However, the indoor seating is long wooden tables that mean you have to share with other visitors. Outdoor seating and tables are limited but still under cover.

Spent a couple of hours walking around the plastic green house and fancy a bite to eat .....couple of light lunches and a couple of drinks later and £35 lighter ....

We had a Very nice scone with clotted cream and what appeared to be home made jam , which was reasonably priced in a nice eating area.

The main cafe is quite poor in its choice, especially the children’s menu. 95% wouldn’t eat any of it. If you are eating, find the cafe in the Biome instead

Not the best we had wraps to spicy, would try bakery next time or take pic nic . Lots of toilets available doughnuts stick very nice but can be too much for one

All cakes obviously home made...tasted very nice! Focus on environmental impact and natural flavours. Had scone and chocolate coconut cake...both very tasty. Prices reasonable.

The Cornish pasty and coffee was great and loving the whole organic experience also and recycling, knowing everything is recycled.

This really is a tourist trap and does not provide good value for money at all. I would advise taking your own food if visiting.

Overpriced food and drink sold in dirty Resturant’s , ie dirty cluttered tables and dirty floors. Better to avoid and eat elsewhere out of the Eden Project .

The cafe offers good food that isn't too expensive. I especially like the ability to fill your own bottle with water for free throughout the site

We can't the restaurant about 30mins before it was closing, a number of things had run out but we still found something to eat to satisfy a veggie, a meaty and a two year old. The poor girl serving was completely swamped with customers though and there seemed to be no one around to help her, apart from a few people wiping trays. Sauces and cutlery had run out, and there were lots of tables outside yet to be cleared. It was the same afternoon the Mediterranean dome was closing early due to a wedding taking place so I don't know if that affected staffing, but even though the food was good a the salad options were tasty I felt the service let it down.

So many eateries to choose from. Something for everyone and good value. Have a good look around before making decisions but I can highly recommend the Mexican food inside, between the biomes.

We loved the food, the beef burritos were lovely and lots of choice. Given your in an attraction it was refreshing to have decent food available and fairly priced.

Food was original and very tasty but expensive. There were lot of vegetarian options and the fresh bread was delicious.

Take a picnic as its so expensive and there isnt much choice (we are a family of 4 non fussy eaters)

Drinks Very pricey and not much of a choice, spent a small fortune just on drinks. I suggest taking a picnic
