Try Dowr in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Called in here for coffee last Friday morning. It was very quiet. Staff behind the bar were friendly and efficient. 3 coffee each for £1.56 - bargain. Nice hot coffee each time too.

Terrible and rude service. The manager is a hologram, which makes an appearance during important events, e.g. changing of a lightbulb. Particularly lovely outside.

Been here once before when we visited Cornwall. very long & very clean pub & reataurant. Very busy, but the food arrived very quickly, which was very nice. Bothe the curry & the sirloin steak that we ordered were excellent & good value for money

Had lunch here last week of August. Food and drinks served quickly despite being very busy. Have to confess we actually only called in for a drink and planned to eat elsewhere. However, we saw others food coming out and decided it looked as good, if not better, than any other pub we’d eaten at so far that week in Cornwall. I ordered the southern fried chicken wrap, my wife had a pizza and son had nuggets, beans and mash. Couldn’t fault any of it, that’s all you can ask for. Great value meal, easy to use app for ordering direct to table, wide selection of drinks and the service was also excellent!

Admittedly arrived a little early around 11.15 am. I ordered a large breakfast for my self, I was told there were only scrambled eggs available which was okay. I asked to order a child's meal from the kids menu (lunch) told I couldn't have the choice until 12. Noon. So I decided to take the pancakes with fresh fruit. When it arrived it had no maple surap. I quried that as was told due to the high sugar content it was not served. All in all what should have been a nice early brunch/ lunch turned out to be very frustrating.i won't be going there again.

Had an evening meal at The Try Dowr while staying in Truro and couldn't really fault the nosh at all. The Dowr is a Wetherspoons pub and so you know the score. Cheap food and drinks that'll hit the spot without spending a fortune. We opted for a plate of fish and chips and a chicken tikka masala. Both of the dishes were nice enough, the fish in particular was excellent value for money. The pub was comfortable, welcoming and a good spot to fill your belly and rest your feet after a day in Truro. Enjoyed our visit enough to pop back for breakfast the following day.

No signs saying no dogs but manager came out after we had purchased drinks to say we couldnt sit outside with a dog! No where has any other establishment said we couldnt sit OUTSIDE with our dog. Wont be back again 😡

Food was cold and it was chicken. We were not the only ones saw at least another two couples send theirs back. This is not the first time this has happened. Coffee is okay won’t be eating here again.

Well done to all the staff who worked very efficiently. I had a wonderful steak , cooked to perfection. Very friendly Staff . Thank you!

Came for drinks and it was very busy but James on the door was great throughout, we were drinking outside and he was great with the customers. He kept us informed with how long we would be waiting and kept up friendly banter with us once we were seated. Top bloke. The staff delivering our drinks were also lovely, good job all round.

JDW on the main square. Some outdoor seating. Busy and so the service was a bit slow but when I mentioned to the guy who was coordinating things that my coach was leaving in about 20 minutes, my drink arrived rapidly so thanks.

Visited since Cornwall has entered into tier 2. The pub was full of drunk teenagers who clearly were not from the same household nor interested in eating. Majority of the staff had extreme attitudes and were quite rude to us. Plates more of less thrown onto the table. The place was pretty dirty, tables not properly cleaned - an outbreak waiting to happen. Will not be returning.

The usual weather spoons restaurant. Good selection of food and drinks, friendly staff, quick service. Food is average for the price, ideal for cheap food and drinks.

Not sure what else to say. Not been here for a few years after a bad breakfast. Thought I’d try again, surely as it wasn’t so busy it would be better. I was wrong, breakfast was cold, need to do better!!!

Will not be returning again....2nd visit within months and on both occasions have left very dissatisfied with both service and food...Todays meals were both sub standard quality, the wrong pizza was given and being told barbecue sauce for our meal instead of ketchup had to be paid for was ridiculous..2 pints of lager were removed from the table by a waitress, as my son is not 18,yet it is legally allowed for him to have a pint with food accompanied by an adult...upon requesting even a soft drink in replacement, I was denied this...so 2 pints of lager were purchased and wasted and no replacement was allowed so my son ate his meal with no drink...Utterly disgusting customer service .. one female waitress taking it upon herself to behave very badly and rudely...even interrupted when my son was talking to management..over speaking him and belittling him....

Popped in for breakfast. Have to order on the app. Husband had a full English which looked pretty good, he was pleased with it. Tea looked like dishwater - including a foamy top. I had scrambled egg on toast which was cold, bland and tasteless. Only ate half of it. Wouldn’t recommend

I was on holiday with My missus over the August bank holiday and into September. We had 2 really good experiences here. Everything was so professional, the staff were well-trained, personable and knew their stuff. The breakfasts were very good value, tasty and fresh. The coffee was ridiculously cheap and my pint was excellent.I believe the secret to this is good management, because I've been in quite a few JDWs in my time and this place was on a different level.

Meant to write this a couple of weeks ago! Just want to praise your staff from what I witnessed on a Thursday night in August. Restaurant was set up great with new Covid restrictions in place and your staff were doing a thankless job keeping everyone in there groups of six and not mixing. In particular who I think was the manager that night, a young dark haired girl with glasses, she was very clear with everyone and got a fair bit of abuse back from people! I believe there was also an incident that night and police had to be called outside the entrance. For what she had to go through that night she handled everything brilliantly and is probably totally underpaid and under appreciated. I take my hat off to all the staff there that night. Brilliant job in these difficult times!

Quick on arrival and showing to seat. Fab prices, great table service. Great environment. The eat well for less has been extended and good options available

Been here quite a few times before, went for breakfast, friendly staff, good size portions, good value for the price. Only complaint is the food isn’t very hot. So you need to eat it quickly. You get free top up on tea n coffee.

Good lunch with the family, very good value for money. Small wait to get in, very well managed by lovely young lady on the door.

We were talking a bit louder as we were with our deaf friend and staff told us to quiet down when we told them our friend was deaf they said she should sit closer? How can she she sit closer to every person? Do they expect us to play musical chairs? Then told us to leave. That is discrimination. Absolutely disgusting!!!

Friendly staff with smiles on their faces. Fast service, with the covid safety measures in place. Food came fast even with the place busy with the 50%. £8.21 you can't go wrong. Well done to all the staff

I visited for a quick breakfast which was good.I did notice they were not taking people to their seats and asking them to sanitise their hands on arrival, all other establishments are doing this, they did not ask you to fill out the test and trace slips, luckily I did, but know others were not. Whilst I was there I did not see one member of staff clean a table after use. I would have thought they would be more on top of things especially with the pandemic. Not impressed!

Called in this Wetherspoons for a drink and maybe lunch also. On entry there was a sign asking us to wait to be seated. We waited, then, when noone came, we found a table ourselves. A waiter came over, he wasn't wearing a mask or visor, he got very close to speak to us. He told my husband he could order at the bar. Social distancing was none existent. People were just walking in, brushing past our table. I felt very uncomfortable and left quite soon after arrival. How difficult can it be to ensure customer safety?

Yes it’s busy and you sometimes have to queue, yes sometimes the staff appear somewhat overwhelmed BUT it’s a Weatherspoons. You get what you pay for and for what you pay, it’s what you expect. Cheap drinks, low priced food, if that’s what you’re looking for you can do a lot worse.

I was advised by a member of staff the name of a waitress that was incredibly rude to me, after asking a member of staff to pass a straw she then said that ‘they weren’t a servant and it wasn’t a restaurant’ she then proceeded to shout about the situation to other members of staff, and pulled another to the side so she could talk about myself and the table I was on and I was sitting right near them, while she was talking to someone about it, i overheard her say ‘do her head in’ and continued to scowl the remaining time I was here. Customer service is a key component to working in a public environment and that is not what I received. I was told by a member of staff that the name of the waitress was Chelsea. I will not be returning

Characterless fast(ish) cheap beer joint. Staff run off their feet. Waited ages for service. Food (10a.m.) slow and mediocre. This is the Poundland of the dining-out world. So many better (all of them) places to eat and drink in Truro. I feel very sorry for the staff there. They obviously have more talent and charisma than this generic eatery deserves.

Called in for a traditional breakfast when it arrived 1 hash brown missing egg hard and no butter with the toast,hardly any beans and the bacon was terrible.

We was very disappointed as we was expecting a meal before a show and was told that it is going to be at least one or two hour before we. Could get a meal or even a drink.and as we had tickets we didn't have time to wait two Hours for a drink or to eat.

Visited the place by train from plymouth, 15mins walk from the truro station. Place was quite busy for a tuesday 11am session / lunch and the noise level got worse with loud unruly children and rude eaters. Staff were helpful when ordering drinks and food, although i did notice the odd queue jumper trying it on. It's a clean warm pub with a city centre location mainly used by elderly locals.

Me I loved a Wetherspoons untill I came across the Try Dower.The floor was dirty as were the tables . We ordered ploughmans, well the cheese looked as if it had been cut on the floor by the amount of dirt on it .No salad dressing so salad was dry as a bone .no staff to be seen to make a complaint soI wrote on the napkin what I thought of the food and too look on Trip Advisor , We went in on New years day to see if it was any better NO still dirty . So glad its not my local

Before you say It, I know it's just a Whetherspoon.However, this place is dead, no atmosphere whatsoever. We ordered food and drinks for 5 adults using the app for table 30.4 soft drinks arrived promptly but my coffee cup never came. I made a light hearted comment to the staff member about being the one left out and she smiled but never returned with said cup. After a few minutes my Wife went up to get It, they refused saying we'd not ordered a coffee. Oh please, REALLY!!! it's £1.35. What do you take us for. Eventually we did get the cup after refusing to repay and proving we had the receipt.After this unfortunate start the food, when we got it wasn't too bad as it goes and arrived in good time.One other gripe though was the lack of Gluten Free visibility on the new menu. I'm sure there are still options available, we just couldn't find them. Finally a good point was disabled access for my daughters wheelchair and the availability of a Restroom for her to access.

Went for breakfast yesterday, was told there was no poached eggs. Other members of my family were able to order fried and scrambled eggs. When I asked a member of staff he confirmed the eggs were bought in pre poached! So Wetherspoons weren’t able to poach an egg.....

I ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayo filling. Firstly, there was confusion because the wrong table number was put on the order, so it was taken back to the kitchen. When that was eventually sorted out, the meal was brought to me - but, not surprisingly, by then it was cold. A fresh meal was brought. However, the flesh of the potato was dry and the skin VERY tough, the filling also dry, and the salad (salad leaves, tomato and cucumber) were simply dumped on the plate in three piles, with no attempt at presentation. I was very disappointed. This is not what I expect from an award-winning restaurant.

We used this Wetherspoons twice a day to eat and hot drink refills for 5 days while we went to the Christmas fair. We was served each day by Sarah F. She was so polite and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble especially when my mum asked about what gluten free food available. Good hot food aswell.

tried to ask for some help when locating the condiments and a waitress who responded by the name Emily by another fellow waitress stood and had a conversation with the waitress about ‘their weekend’ i didn’t manage to catch the other waitresses name... when i finally caught her attention i was greeted by a roll of her eyes and a slight sigh

A lady who served me and my friend last night was amazing! We was served around 12:30am and I believe the lady’s name was called Sarah. She had pink hair. Sarah was very professional and made our drinks in such a timely manner whilst talking to us. Hopefully this lady goes some recognition for her amazing customer service skills!

Went in on a Saturday lunch time and most tables were occupied... The place was a mess with chairs scattered all over the place. All the tables that were empty were dirty, fully of dirty plates and hadn't been cleared for some time. They need more staff that clear tables and keep the place clean. Decided to go elsewhere!!

Popped in for a drink and some food. The pub is characterless and noisy, not really a place I would visit again. Ordered drinks on the app and had to go to the bar as they were not brought to the table.

ordered fish and chip excellent and hot but the mushy peas were like cement the eating area was a disgusting mess virtually every table was a mess customers were having to clean their own tables no where enough staff on duty

Soulless atmosphere, tired furniture a large open space often filled with drunks and noisy children. My local Wethers but probably the worst one in Cornwall. Go to Falmouth or Perranporth because Truro sucks! Need a refit ☹️

Got a table, no one came to clear it after being asked, considering we have a family member with allergies too! Food came out, 2x large mixed grills came with only 3 onion rings not 6 as stated on the menu! Also had 2x 10oz gammon and eggs, on both meals The meat was tough as old boots that even the steak knives couldn't cut through at all! We asked for air con to be turned down as it was blowing onto our food, within 5 minutes of our food coming out it felt like it had just been taken out of the fridge coz of the air con! Absolutely disgusted with the service! No one to complain to properly as was being passed from person to person and getting nowhere.

Ate here on Monday night and food and drink were reasonably priced and our chicken burgers were nicely cooked.

Been to a few Weatherspoons and this has been my favourite. Ordered and food was with us in less than 10 minutes. Really enjoyed our burgers and service was really attentive. Thank you to Ann-Marie for being so friendly and helpful, you’re doing a superb job as a waitress!

Lovely pub but didn't eat due to u tables being overloaded and nobody cleaning them. Great location.

Visited here a few days ago with family including two young children. All had some breakfast. Amazing value and great food. Staff were great. Would recommend and will definitely go again when next in Truro

We met up with our husband's after shopping and decided to have something to eat. We ladies went for the baked potato with tuna. That we both enjoyed. The men had fish and chips and spare ribs with onion rings. All meals were thoroughly enjoyed and the plates went back empty. Wetherspoons can be relied upon for a quick tasty meal

We would just love to say a massive thank you to the manager Ant who accommodated us as a family when it was raining. He is truly a credit to this company, if we come down to Newquay we will definitely be visiting here again! Thank you so so so much you have made the last day of our holiday!

As a family, we came for Breakfast before my daughter caught a train home to Lincolnshire from Truro. We had been before and had a brilliant experience; however, this time we found that something was wrong with the internet and anyone ordering per the APP was not getting their order through.

We had an hour for our lunch and had plenty of time to order and eat our meals. The place was really busy and some of the tables needed cleaning, but we managed to find somewhere to sit for 6 of us. They had a varied menu with plenty of choice depending your needs and preferences. I ordered their pulled chicken and avocado wrap with chips. It came quickly, it was well presented and was tasty too. The service was friendly and efficient and they kept all the condiments in special holders so each table could have one with everything they might need. Well thought out, efficient and clean, considering the number of people eating there. The prices were also good as well.

Generally over various weeks and months service has not improved by many staff. They do not look for customers! Lots of rushing about and talking amongst themselves, as if customers were the enemy! Recently off duty staff making lots of noise, working cant hear customer because he has ear piece and assumes three times and gets the order requested WRONG. The gimmick of ordering from an app. Is off putting to those not with phones etc. And generally attention to customers is poor.

I used to go to this Spoons regularly as I love the the company and they have amazing locations around the country. Avoid this one. I have a disability and was treated like scum recently. Management should get in touch. They have some good staff but a few bad eggs are making a good spoons bad.

Took the family here for lunch during a shopping trip in Truro. A very large restaurant with plenty of tables and room for pushchairs etc. Not my first visit here, handy place for a reasonable lunch. Staff very helpful and food is always reasonable

This is part of the Wetherspoons' pubs, and its very popular with the locals. Plenty of space inside to take the kids, great quality food at very reasonable prices, and everybody feels at home here regardless of their income bracket. A patio outside for the smokers, or just to listen to some of the very talented buskers we have here! If you buy a cup of tea or coffee (£1.50) you can have as many FREE refills as you want so you can stay all day if you like! The staff work hard and have a friendly attitude that'll help you feel welcome and its easy to chill out here!

Been there a few times we all know what to expect from a Wetherspoons ! We ordered on line and drinks were quick I ordered a chicken burger which when it arrived I found it was difficulty to cut ! I was very sinuous and although cooked through I did not like it ! On asking about if we were happy I said sorry have to say I don’t like the burger it’s chewy and sinuous, waitress went to the manager who immediately offered a recook which I did not have time for when I explained that he refunded in fu my meal and drink ! Very apologetic daughters meal was fine ! All in all cracking customer service ! I have liked every other meal there previously and will go there again !

Trying the 3 for £10.25 menu today table a bit sticky but otherwise nice tidy and very busy. Having loaded chips, ribs and onion rings and nachos. Very hot very tasty and enough for two. Fast and efficient service.

Always know you will have adequate and reliably good food (without frills) and drink at this family-friendly English standard no matter in which city and always in a convenient, heart-of-the-city location. After visiting this particular venue on multiple, consecutive evenings with friends, we were disappointed with the service (scattered and frantic at best on weekend); cleanliness (often clearing tables ourselves for a place to sit); and unavailable bottles of our requested wine - not even restocking days after we'd brought it to their attention. Yet, a nice place for closing the evening with friends for locals and visitors alike without "breaking the bank". Accessible to the disabled yet we observed many capable patrons using the disabled facilities by leaving the door ajar for their friends. And, where else would this American visitor have been surprised by a spontaneous Welsh choir coming in from the street to enjoy some pints and serenade patrons on my last evening in England?

This is a favourite spot for my family when we eat out, good priced food and actually very good quality!

Here on a hen do.Poor service,not that busy yet there was 5 members of staff In one area of the bar and over half the bar was unoccupied, had to wait over 20mins for a drink.

I like to be fair in my reviews and highlight anything that was right as well as any downsides. Well on a plus note the lass behind the bar was efficient and pleasant enough. That covers the plus points really as most other aspects were somewhat less pleasing. I know it’s a Wetherspoons and therefore basic but me and my friend sat ourselves at a table and waited patiently for our basic order of fish, chips and garden peas to arrive. The best part of 20 minutes passed before they did so. Thecondiment tray had no salt and the sauce jars were at the noisy I’m empty stage. We found sauces on the next table but had to search for salt and eventually found one the other end of the place. I believe it was the only one there as we looked all over. As for the meal well I can say the fish was the highlight, but only like the highlight of going in hospital for a gall bladder operation is going home. It was adequate. However the chis were not hot and the peas hard as if they had suffered death by a thousand microwaves. We ate as much as we could only because we had just completed a very long trek. If the place had been ultra busy I could have excused it but it wasn’t. Not a recommendation from me, and that’s me being fair minded

Recently went to the Truro Wetherspoons. Staff were very polite and welcoming and the restaurant was incredibly clean even for a Friday evening. Food was served by a very lovely young lady with light brown hair and braces. Very polite and welcoming. Came back to check how we were doing as well which was a lovely gesture even on a busy evening! Would definitely recommend this Wetherspoons!

Came in today for food and drinks. Food was prompt and was really tasty and hot. Served by a young lady with red hair at the bar and food was delivered by a tall, dark haired chap. Customer service was spot on and both were polite and helpful. Will be coming back.

Today,i visited Try Dowr Weatherspoons in Truro, my experience was very disappointing and I will not be returning!!!

After our last visit was slightly disappointing we were hoping a return visit would make up for this and I'm pleased to say it did. Between us we had a selection of adult meals and childrens meals which were all brought out very quickly, the food was hot and the portion sizes were very generous. The app worked perfectly this time, the staff we encountered were friendly and asked how our meals were. The toilets were a lot cleaner than last time and the condiments were for the first time full. Keep up the good work!

We were not disappointed! The food (fish and chips) arrived quickly, nice and hot and was delicious with a perfect crispy batter. As expected at that time of day it was almost full to capacity, but had no trouble ordering. Very pleasant staff on duty. Would return.

You know what you're getting when you walk into Spoons! The staff here are really friendly and the food is good. It does get very busy at lunch times so get a table quick!

Visited for tonight's Valentine Special . We both had Sirloin steaks and they were cooked to perfection and juicy. Tables were laid with roses , petals and candles. They really made it very special !! Thanks to all the staff for making it so special .

This wetherspoons is very atmospheric and warm. The table service is of excellent quality and we often come here and use the wetherspoons app to order our food.

Me and my friends go to Try Dowr Wetherspoons regularly and every time we go in the manager Naomi is working we are made to feel uncomfortable. She has always been rude to us and has something against me and my friends, and it started over us moving tables and her not wanting to have to clean them both. She banned my friend for taking a beer mat outside and then told other colleagues that we had been calling her names which we hadn’t. We get on with all the other staff members however, she has always made us feel anxious about being in there and we have had to leave because of it on many occasions. From other reviews I notice that this is not the first complaint that she has got for her bad attitude, therefore I am surprised that she is still working there.

Bar staff ignored us twice when trying to get a drink, a hard feat when a group of five people. Ordered food and got an order wrong whilst at the bar. Naomi the bar staff was informed at the point of ordering, and instead of immediately rectifying instead decided to berate a member of the group for her mistake. When food arrived, we found another member of the group received the wrong food. Informed the server who took the food back. Waited a further ten minutes for the food that was ordered to be brought, meaning that someone was still eating after the others had finished. Quality of food was awful, two members of party did not have more than two mouthfuls of food. The rest left over half of their meal. No one asked whether everything was alright as they took the plates of the table, or when we left.

Lovely and helpful staff but a lot of tables left in an unclean state and our breakfast was overcooked and only warm at best. Unfortunately not a great experience and not on par with the usual Wetherspoons good standards.

We called in for a later lunch just before two o clock on the 4th of Jan. We always choose to eat here, usually one of our favourite Wetherspoons sadly this time it was a disapointment. Most of the tables were full, luckily we got one as a group left. Their dishes and glasses were not cleared until our food was brought out, on ordering the app was not working perhaps a glitch but it appeared we were not the only ones experiencing problems as the queue at the bar was very long. Eventually got served, they could not offer soft drinks ie Pepsi as they had run out? That's a first for me at any Wetherspoons! Then on ordering food they had ran out of beef? All of the condiments we found were empty, on asking a member of staff they were filled up after we finished our meal. Someone did check our food was ok, which in fairness it was ok but everything else let us down this time. The toilets were also very dirty and out of toilet tissue! Very poor

upon entering it was apparent that they were extremely busy over lunchtime, the friendly staff helped us locate a table even though they were run off their feet, food was promptly delivered after a short wait after ordering and as usual the standard was above expectation, really friendly atmosphere and helpful staff.

Food was spectacular, asked for the steak to be done the way I like it and it was perfect. I found the manager Chris helpful and accomodating, excellent service during the hectic christmas rush.

Came In Thursday afternoon for lunch and the pub was rammed as I entered a lady approached me and asked how many do I need a table for ,and found one for us and cleaned in down and gave us new menus and talked us through how to order.The food was great value for money and was nice and hot, we waited no longer than ten minutes which was surprising as the place was full.Will defiantely be returning when next down.

On the 2nd of January 2019 .we came in for some drinks order on our Apps .All went though but 20 minutes later no drinks so went up to the bar .standing there waiting Yes people getting there orders.so in the end i said to the kitchen staff.So spoke to a member of staff .well she said we are busy and havent had time to look at the app.Rude i thought i was watching the locals were getting the drinks frist .our meals came had to send back has cold .We come down every two weeks .Its a shame its never tidy table's are always full with dirty dishes.well as for the floors disgusting. And people out side smoking plus members of staff The smell comes in though it shouldn't be aloud to smoke so near.were you are eating food .sorry to moan But the staff needs retraining And try to smile and say thank you manners dont cost nothing .

I've given up using the app here as most times I have , I've ended up after 15-20 minutes going to the bar to ask where my drink is, So I may as well go to the bar in the first place, on one occasion they only had to pour a pint of John Smith's, took 25 mins and then after I asked twice at the bar where it was, the service here is not very good at all and some ( not all ) of the staff are rude and could do with learning some manners

Came here for a quick bite to eat Saturday before Christmas so yes it was rammed - found a table orders via the app, delivered in 10 minutes by a very polite, friendly waitress who was clearly rushed off her feet but found time to check if the food was ok

Absolutely appalled by the bar manager working on Wednesday 19th. After buying a drink, a member of our group went up to get another one for us in which he replied that he “didn’t trust” me. Unfortunately I know this bar manager and believe this treatment was due to personal issues outside of work. On asking for a list of the beers on tap he replied “lots”. Absolutely awful customer service and it is a shame that one of your employees treats customers like this due to matters that don’t involve visiting here.

Came into spoons for drinks with some friends, and was told off for swearing which is fair enough, we were then refused service for being too drunk which was not the case at all and Naomi (the manager?) told us we would not be allowed back again. As far as we’re concerned all we did was swear which is fair enough but after being asked to stop we did and kept quiet. I don’t know where she got the idea that we were too drunk from but i’m pretty sure it was made up because she doesn’t like us.

I have come to this Weatherspoons in the hopes of spending time with my friends. Unfortunately, the manager of this restaurant has refused to serve us after having one drink. She has claimed this to be because of how “intoxicated” we are, however, as previously stated, we have had one drink. The real reason for not serving us, was because there was too many of us on one table and we have been in here before. She has been rude to us ever since an encounter with her a while ago. She has served a girl I know 12 double captain morgan’s, just to add on top to the fact that we got served 1 drink. I am absolutely disgusted and if she does not get sacked, or a warning, I will spread the word about this horrible manager so that everyone knows not to go to this weatherspoons. Thank you

First time we have visited this Wetherspoons normally go to the one in st austell which does an amazing breakfast and fantastic service. Very disappointing that we had to clear a table to be able to sit down, the food was cold, the eggs sausage and hash browns were over cooked there was roughly ten beans and the toast was well not toasted. The attitude of the staff was like it or lump it! Very poor worst Wetherspoons we have visited!

We are regular users of Falmouth Wetherspoons,it's easy, especially if you want a quick bite to eat, however the Truro version is bad, so bad. You would think been so close to Xmas the managers would put on some extra staff, the tables were piled high with used plates, beer glasses, in fact I ended up clearing our table and finding some sanitiser and a cloth to wipe the table down. I do not want to listen to the girl behind the bar slag off moaning customers and how tired she is either. Put some more staff on because the upshot is... You will lose custom and then you wont need the staff you have got. Not rocket science just common sense!

As a regular user of the Wetherspoon range all over the country on a regular basis I found this to be very sub standard could do with a good clean and staff certainly need to up their people skills and to stop moaning to customers about other customer attitude very off putting with a like it or lump it attitude Food ok average comparing it with other similar group premises in the Wales and West areas

From the imperious bar lady puffing on a fag outside with the other chavs, it gets worse. All stop at shift change on a Saturday at 14.30, where everyone hides. Just lovely. Cheap and suitably nasty. Never again. Wipe your feet on the way out.
