Brewers Fayre Bristol Concorde in South Gloucestershire

Came for drinks, I got at least what I paid for 😉 very pleased with my evening, would definitely recommend

I'm truly saddened to learn about the closure of this venue. Whenever I visited Bristol for work, it was my top choice for dining. The staff here has consistently exceeded my expectations, with many of them having been a part of my visits for years. Issy, Daniel and Luke have consistently delivered exceptional service, always greeting me with a warm smile and a touch of humor. Their natural ability in customer service is remarkable. As this chapter closes, I can only hope that they find suitable employment in a similar industry where their talents can continue to shine. This establishment has consistently provided great quality and value in both food and drinks, making it a memorable part of my Bristol experiences.

Afternoon ruined. Won't be back. Decided to drive here as have had a lovely meal previously. Today I had the burger stack. Bun fell apart straight away. Burger was dry. Coleslaw inedible and tasted funky. Chips cold and dry. Husband had a mixed grill which was acceptably tasty. Service was good and staff were pleasant. Good pub for families with young children as have a good children's menu.

The staff who was seating the customers was very busy as he seemed to be the only one around apart from one person behind the bar. But he was very helpful and polite when he came to the front to admit us. I think there may have been staff shortage as breakfast plates were not replaced quickly so some of us had to start getting the food using the side plates and we also had to wait for some items to be refilled, but that was not a big deal. The manager at the hotel arranged for my party of 14 to be sat near each other (and near the food) ! It would be helpful if the rooms had shaver points and if the internet was more reliable.

I booked a week in advance for a roast on a Sunday but when I arrived I actually only booked a table and had to wait almost one hour and watched almost 10 table s get served before myself very poor service indeed will definitely not be going again or tell freinds or family to go there Don't Go is my advice 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

I don’t think these guys could have done a better job. Clean & super friendly & welcoming. Affordable, tasty food. It was the staff that made it, went out of their way to meet our every need. I wouldn’t hesitate to return

From the outside the Concorde doesn't look very inviting. It looks dated and the Brewers Fayre canopy's over the window are dirty and stained. The brown tints on the windows are also dated and old fashioned. But despite this, inside it's actually very clean and bright, there's a real friendly atmosphere and the food was served quickly without any faults, the food tasted as you'd expect and I couldn't have asked for more. The staff member that served us throughout the whole visit was an absolute gem. He was super friendly, funny and just made you feel real at ease. He was accommodating and attentive, everything you could want in a staff member!! He provided excellent service. I wasn't expecting much based off the reviews for the Brewers Fayre Concorde, but I couldn't of been more wrong, and I do this a lot!!

Friendly staff Good service But mouldy carpet which stinks and has been like it for over a month I go here regularly and the mould is growing by the day. Think this is pretty bad as it's a restaurant

Always amazing happy service!! The manager Always makes the hole family feel welcome! I'm a vegetarian and normally my food Is awful everywhere I go but they always make sure I have it at the same time as everyone else . Over all a plus service!! Visited for a late lunch after local appointment. On pulling up I seriously doubted it was open and serving food. Very drab from the outside. Glass doors on entrance covered in fingerprints and the lobby carpet was in desperate need of a hoover. However, indoors gave a much better impression until I looked for a table. The upholstery on so many of the seats need cleaning, so many old food stains. Having found a suitable table I handed out the sticky food menus. Not nice. We ordered our meals and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by not only the service but the temperature of the food. The size of servings was generous and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was certainly busy for the time of day. Staff seemed friendly and pleasant too.

Looked forward to a nice Sunday roast after hospital visit. Beef was tough. Turkey was some sort of meat slices not from a whole birds. Stuffing was had and cold. Vegetables were all poorly cooked and Luke warm. The manger did refund us for 1 dinner as he was aware the hot plates were not working properly.

At 8.40 on Good Friday morning we were looking for some breakfast. Thought we’d try here. We were told they only had enough food for hotel guests -There were only 2 of us ! Not very good .

Went here this evening for my daughters 8th birthday meal out with my family which consisted of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 babies, one of which cried continously for the final hour! The children were quite noisy and made a fair mess of our table (which we did our best to clean before we left). However I cannot fault the staff here this evening at all, we were quite a noisy table with the children but the staff were great with them! There were two particular members of staff that went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, I think one was a general manager (I didn't catch his name) and the other was called Luke whose people skills and attentiveness was impeccable! We had a little wait for food as we went at peak time and was informed that they're may be a 30 minute or so wait and Luke brought out a complimentary bowl of chips to keep the children from whinging! His manner and service was 2nd to none! I've been here many times as I live local and enjoy the food as its always tasty and value for money but I don't think I've ever been served by Luke before, I shall definitely remember him and look for him in future! Thanks for such a pleasant experience and making my daughters birthday meal a lovely occasion! xxx

I waited quite a while to be seated and was met by the most rude gentleman at the door, and he was rude right through the evening, it was an absolute disgusting experience.

Very good atmosphere and staff are very friendly and attentive. Would like a special mention to Dawn and Shannon who work really hard but still have time for a chat.

Dawn and Izzy were lovely looking after our family-ages 16-85, were very accommodating with our needs. The new menu was lovely, with chance to upgrade meals to larger portions, although if you fancy pudding, not a good option :).Our news years day celebrations were enjoyed by all.x

I went here with my partner and friends for a quick evening meal as we were in the area. I looked on trip advisor and there are lots of 5 star reviews so thought it would be good. I should have seen that most of these great reviews came from people who have only ever put 1 contribution on TA so perhaps I should have been suspicious. Anyway we went and several items on the menu were unavailable. We chose 2 cottage pie meals and a fish and chip dinner plus chicken pie. When the meals came out two of them were barely warm and had to go back to be microwaved. My fish and chips was also poor and the fish was dry and tasteless. To be honest none of us had a good meal and even though there were very few people in the restaurant the service was quite unfriendly. Anyway you learn by your mistakes so won’t be going back.

Had our works Christmas lunch here a few days ago. Food was good, service great especially Dawn who helped organise everything on the day and kept an eye on us in case we needed anything. Was a really enjoyable afternoon.

Clean & comfortable restaurant. The food was really good and better than expected considering the price. I recommend the chocolate brownie! The staff were great and our waitress Dawn made sure everything went without a hitch.

Went for a group meal, 12 of us at lunchtime. Food was served promptly and was pretty good. The service was excellent, attentive and helpful. Dawn was particularly helpful with organising everything and really made the experience a great one.

Had our works Christmas lunch here and the service was second to none. Vic made sure our pre-orders were all sorted in advance and Dawn our server went above and beyond to ensure our meal went without a hitch. Would recommend!

We usually choose this place for its handy location to meet up… and it’s always good honest food, decent prices and comfortable . The staff however are brilliant Very professional helpful and kind. Thank you all ,we will be back soon

Absolutely amazing service from Dawn when we had our breakfast on the morning of 7th December at 8.30am. Perfectly cooked poached eggs and bacon cooked crispy to our liking. Compliments to the chef, thank you! 😎

Have visited on Sundays several times for meals and have been well-served and found an excellent choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Fabulous as always. 35 people in a group booking all served within 2 and a half hours. Staff are always brilliant with our members, friendly, sense of humour and never flustered. Thanks again.

Well looked after by waitress Shannon, and bar team, food served quickly and was hot and tasty. And very handy as was staying in Premier Inn next door.

We arrived on a Wednesday evening and wanted a quick bite to eat. We ordered and sat with a pint, and waited.... and waited.... and waited some more. At around 50 minutes into our wait we asked the staff what the holdup was and they said ‘it’s an hour wait for food’.....NO staff informed us of this when we went to order, otherwise we would have gone to KFC next door! When the meal came out it was disappointing to say the least. I had 7 pieces of scampi and the mixed grill was tiny. Needless to say we won’t be returning. The kitchen manager needs to inform the front of house team about the wait as it’s them that have to deal with upset customers!!

Terrible service... Waited 1h for a simple chicken burger. Poor hygiene, tables not cleaned properly! Staff totally unaware that I was waiting for my food. Definetly not worth having meal... Over priced, poor service, poor hygiene.

Shannon and Claire were great tonight , lovely ladies worked very hard , the food was lovely and hot .

Enjoyed our first meal of the week, which could not be faulted. The only thing better was the service by Shannon, she was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, even offering to get another pint when we were reaching the end of the current one. Came here with my partner to grab a quick lunch on a gloomy day, was served by Shannon and she was brilliant she explained she was new but if I’m honest you wouldn’t of noticed as she was very quick and efficient! Food was brilliant! Shona served me a carvery and was also very happy serving with a smile on her face! All in all the whole team were brilliant and they create a great atmosphere for everybody who attends.

I have visited this restaurant many many times over the past 18 months ( except lockdown) and I have to say that, although the quality of the food can vary, it’s always good value. The staff on the other hand are unstintingly helpful and cheerful. The shining light has to be Vicky who is a total asset to the restaurant. She spends huge amounts of energy going round the restaurant, chatting and joking with the customers and making sure everything is ok. Ben is also always cheerful and eager to please. I do enjoy dining there as it can be lonely on your own but all the staff recognise and acknowledge me and if they have time stop for a chat. I would love to name the others but, to my shame, I don’t know their names! Thank you all of you, including the manager, for always making me feel welcome and maybe not as alone as I feel

Great service from the managing team, had obvious issues with items not being the menu and had an issue with short staff one visit but they was working hard to keep it all going. Food was what you expect for the price cant complain

We ate here on our first evening of our three day stay at the Premier Inn next door. There was no Caesar Dressing for the Caesar Salad! A notice does warn you of certain shortages, and the salad itself, topped with chicken and bacon, was very good. The Ladies’ loo was a let-down. I don’t think there is a bleach shortage! But the best was to come...We had booked breakfast for each day, and I can honestly say it was up with the very best. Service was quick and efficient, and the quality of the food excellent. Fahad the manager was chatty and friendly. All the waiting staff were great too, working very hard, especially on the Sunday as it gets very busy all at once! Well done for providing a warm welcome. We noticed that several people called for breakfast who weren’t staying at the hotel, which has got to tell you something!The décor, carpets etc have long ago seen better days, this venue deserves to be spruced up as it is very well run.

We were staying at the Premier Inn next door for a family christening and ate breakfast and dinner in the Brewer's Fayre. The food was freshly cooked and really tasty and the service we received from Victoria and Ben was excellent! They couldn't do enough for us and were very accommodating. It was very good value for money and there was a good variety on the menu, with only a few things not available, due to the food chain shortages but we were informed of this right at the start. Can't really fault it and would highly recommend. Thank you Victoria for making us feel so welcome ;-)

Due to the ending of covid, they were so,so short staffed, but Claire and Vicki held the place together, tending to everyone's needs. Morning or night they were there running everywhere to make us all happy.I only hope management realize how good they are. Delighted to find somewhere open at 7:30 am on a Sunday! Came for hot drinks. Still during Covid restrictions, everything was safe, without being uncomfortable. Really helpful staff, great atmosphere.

We received fantastic service polite friendly and nothing was too much. I was being fussy about my steak sent it back to have it cremated that’s how I like it…… no problem they cooked me a new steak. I was especially happy with the warm and welcoming reception we received from Natasha she’s a lovey lady. Fab service!

Went for Sunday roast today after trying a few other places which were packed out with long waiting times. Should have realised something was up when the place was practically empty. Ordered quickly as we were hungry, beef and turkey roasts, we even went large. The meals came really quickly so that’s why I’ve given one star. I’m being very generous. This was quite possibly the most disgusting meal we’ve ever eaten. The roast potatoes looked like they’d been hanging around for weeks and had a bizarre taste, almost like vinegar. The vegetables tasted like like they came out of a tin. The meat was edible at best, I can’t say better than that. Gravy was just brown water. Nothing fresh about any of it, it had clearly just been bunged in a microwave but was barely lukewarm. Now, had any of the members of staff that were standing around bothered to ask us if everything was ok we would have told them ‘No’ but they didn’t so ……. We ate what we could stomach and left

Victoria and George were friendly and welcoming. They made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Victoria is refreshingly down to earth and funny! Thoroughly enjoyed the service we received, enjoyed so much we will be returning for breakfast in the morning!

When staying at the Premier Inn this is the only place to get breakfast unless you want to use your car. The cooked breakfast is slightly overpriced at £9.50, but the continental breakfast is a rip off at £7.50.It is wrong to call this a continental breakfast as there is no meat or cheese provided and no fresh fruit salad (tinned would have been preferable to nothing).My breakfast consisted of granola with yoghurt and 2 crumpets - how can the cost of £7.50 be justified. If a full cooked breakfast is too much why not offer a sausage or bacon sandwich for around £3.50.The staff are delightful - the food lets them down. However, the sight of a cleaning cloth used to wipe down tables thrown on the cutlery trolley was a little off putting!

I came in for the daytime lunch menu today as I often do, the food is great value for the quality you receive. It was very quite but the manager on duty Claire and Natasha were friendly and helpful as they always are. Will be back next week.

We ate here twice when staying at the Premier Inn next door for an evening meal and a breakfast. The outside looks a bit run down but the inside is what you’d expect for a standard Brewers Fayre. Now that Covid restrictions have been lifted we could order at the bar again and face masks are optional if you don’t want to wear one but everywhere felt clean and safe. The evening meal was fairly standard, not the best meal I’ve ever eaten but it did the trick, portion sizes are good and it was good value for money. The breakfast was good. Hot food was ordered at your table but you could have as much as you like and reorder anything if you wanted more. It was fresh and good quality. You could also help yourself to drinks (hot drinks from a machine and a selection of fresh fruit juices), fruit salad, yogurt, cereals and a variety of items such as pancakes, pain au chocolates, bagels, crumpets and toast. We all ate plenty to justify the £9 cost!The best part of this place was the staff who were very friendly and helpful at all times, especially Victoria who I think said she was the Manager on duty. I would recommend this place if staying next door for convenience and value.

Taking visiting family member for meal here, 1 asked for well done steak, it finally came but was medium rare, so sent back to be cooked as requested while others ate their meals. 1 member had lasagne, no meat was found in it, plus was well over cooked with solid hard crispy cheese all around edge of dish. Steak arrived cooked, however no member of staff came to ask if all was ok with it . Complaint given at bar when paying. No tip given for poor service. Rating 1 - 5....... 0

Fantastic service great food, really enjoyed our evening, regardless of the covid rules we were all made to feel comfortable & welcome and safe throughout! Also very clean inside.

Myself and three friends decided on the Concorde for our first meet up since lock down and were not disappointed!!!The food was great, the service was excellent and we all had a fantastic eveningI would highly recommend this place, the staff are so welcoming whilst having to deal with keeping it covid safe brilliant!!!!

Came in tonight and had a lovely evening. The steak is really good (I am a bit particular as well) it was cooked just as I like it. Tender, juicy and full of flavour and the best onion rings ive tasted in a long time. All of us were made to feel welcome by smiling staff in this clean, covid safe pub. Bravo !

Had a lovely meal. The menu was extensive and so hard to choose from. That's a good thing and not a bad one in my book. I was very hungry and thirsty having been sightseeing in the general vicinity, and thought I'd pop in and fill my belly and quench my thirst demons. The fish and chips was scrumptious and was my chocolate cake. I'm salivating at the mere thought. Service was spot on and staff were immensely welcoming and friendly. Well work a visit.

We wanted to eat at the air balloon nearby but they were fully booked. Husband didn't want to drive anymore after coming up from cornwall to stay in the premier inn next door. I booked a table easily 30mins before arrival(I didn't really need to as the place was empty maybe 3 tables). We were seated quickly by the bar. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly. We then ordered food. They had no roast dinners even though it was a Sunday and it was advertised. The food came in good time. The server said the kids wraps came with 2 sides but these sides never appeared(I didn't think it came with sides so wasn't bothered) We were missing garlic bread but no one was around to ask and then it eventually came. There were 3 staff members that spent a lot of time chatting to some staff members that were eating there. My Gammon was nice, they forgot the peas and the egg had shell in but overall not a bad meal.Then we wanted to order desserts. We were by the kitchen so staff walked past us plenty of times but just ignored us. The guy who served us previously was sat doing paperwork and the other 2 just weren't interested. No one came to clear the table. After 10 minutes we gave up and went back to the hotel with disaappointed kids who didn't understand why they couldn't have their ice cream sundaes after eating their meals. Really disappointing service. If it was packed I'd understand but the place was empty!! Needless to say we won't be going back ever and found a Wetherspoons for breakfast the next day! Avoid plenty of other places nearby!

Went here for lunch. Ordered a nacho sharing starter, then our mains. Our mains were brought to us but no starter. Asked why our starter did not arrive and was apologised to and said it would be with us shortly. Arrived after our mains and was cold and burnt. Definitely was not a dish to share. Scooby snack springs to mind. Waitress was obviously embarrassed and it was deducted from our meal. I wanted dirty fries with my main in stead of chips, only way to do this was to order the dirty fries as a side. When the bill arrived, it was some one else’s, didn’t realise until I’d paid, so had to have a refund. Don’t think I will be going back.

After arriving on time we were shown to table and given 2 menus even though there was 3 of us, we ordered starter and main meals, after finishing main meal the plates weren't cleared until husband went and asked them. We ordered dessert and after waiting 30 minutes for it we decided to cancel paid bill and left. It was my daughters birthday and wanted to treat my husband for Fathers day, all in all in it was a disaster!

my family and I visited today and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who seated us straight away. Victoria took our order and was very attentive even though you could see they were rushed off their feet as they were the only two people on. Whatever we needed they were very helpful and always smiling. A fantastic visit and a great start to our day out, thank you both for making it a great experience.

We had both tea and breakfast here meals were ok nothing special,we noticed there was a lot of tables spare some for social distances but people were still being turned away saying they were fully booked.
