Food was okay, service was good! We went for a roast, the potatoes were a little undercooked and under seasoned, but the meat was delicious. Yorkshire pudding tasted like it had freezer burn. We had a very tasty Sunday roast at The Fox Den. The turkey was excellent and the vegetable sides very generous. Owen served us and was excellent. He was attentive, friendly and helpful throughout, checking to make sure that we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. He is a real asset to your brand.

Fabulous dinner. Good dinner. Clean restaurant, great sausages and ice lollies… this is the review by our four year old. First time visiting and we would return. The food is superb but the show stopper is the attention to detail from our server Owen! He is super and a real treasure to the restaurant. We visited as a family with two young children and he made our experience! Owen goes above and beyond with all the customers. He paid attention to our baby and helped us when juggling two young kids. Definitely senior/management material!!

Lovely setting, and as always great food. Owen, looked after us, a table of 10. He was friendly, professional, approachable and bought out two candles with the deserts for my Aunty and Uncle’s birthday, which was a nice and thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend for Lunch or an evening meal. We all really enjoyed ourselves. So a big thank you.

Despite being short notice The Fox Den was able to cater for our party of 10. The staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, cooked to perfection and we were able to take our time, which was a pleasant change from some places. We will definitely be returning for more and recommending The Fox Den to our friends.

Popped in for lunch after being turned away by another pub, these guys saved the day. Great service and even under pressure they clearly loved their jobs. Owen is a legend

Lovely pub, with great drinks and food. However a lil slow on the service, possibly cause they were understaffed. They told us we could not order food. However we saw others having their meals and when I placed a snack order thru my phone it went thru and they brought it. So they basically lied 🤣🤣

Nice pub with good selection of drinks,and pleasant garden plus parking. Only here for drinks as staying in the Holiday Inn express next door.

Very pleasant dinner in the dining room area. Served by Owen who was excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient. The curry was very tasty and the mini creme brulee and coffee made a nice light dessert. Will definitely be back.

We were welcomed quickly and courteously upon our arrival, shown to our table and provided with menus. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient in taking our orders for drink and food. The food was amazing!! Wonderful flavours, beautifully cooked and plenty of it. The atmosphere was very cosy and comfortable. We felt relaxed and were in no rush to leave. The toilets were clean, tidy and well-stocked. We would definitely return and absolutely recommend you to all.

Took an old friend there for lunch last week and was very impressed with the level of customer service as well as the quality of the food and range of ales on tap. Will definitely go again.

Pretty mid and quite pricey for what it is

We've been twice over the last 3 weeks, once for Sunday lunch & the other on a Thursday evening. The vegetarian Sunday lunch is delicious & the non vegetarian is also really good so I've been told! We had the same waiter both times. Owen was friendly & efficient despite it being really busy. He remembered us & made us feel really welcome.

Poor staff levels led to a meal taking 3 hours to complete. Had to clear table ourselves. Server couldn't have been less bothered. There had been indication that service was going to be slow but could not have predicted of how slow! Eaton mess consisted of just cream with very little fruit or meringue. Other food was generally average. Very nice cocktail of the day.

We live locally but haven't been to this pub for a long time. We had a mid week lunch in the garden with our dog as the sun was out. Super friendly staff, met the new manager Ben who has just taken over and couldn't do enough to help. Our dog was happy as there were treats available! The food was really nice, arrived quickly and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.

Meals were good, we all had something different so not good for your chef! Unfortunately my roast potatoes were almost inedible. Rubbery & too tough to cut/eat. Staff were AMAZING. it was so evident you were desperately short staffed too. It was a little upsetting for our grandchildren waiting so long between courses though.

Resturant full so had to eat in the bar still had choice of the full menu was served in a timely manner food excellent

When the £18 curry you ordered arrives Luke warm in 5 minutes you know it's come straight from the microwave chef!! Not great food guys if you are just chucking out microwave fair then you need to adjust the price tag!

While the pub is in a good Location. And is nice inside. From our experience it was a shambles, Shown to our table of an empty restaurant. We were not asked if we required drinks.And the waitress never came back and after 15 minutes.We got our own drinks, Surely they should ask you or at least come back to you. We order desserts which were only ice creams, And another cold dessert and after twenty minutes had to ask the staff where the desserts were, Cannot say they were busy as on our side of the restaurant.There were only six people. Not very professionally run.

I have been here a few times, tonight it was really bad. Arrived as booked for 6.30. Taken to a table and left for 25 minutes before my order was taken. 35 minutes later my starter arrived cold, decided to eat as I had waited so long. Another 35 minutes and my main arrived, also cold - complained. Chips replaced but the medium rare steak was still over done and cold. My first glass of Malbec was not a Malbec, being British I did not complain, but my second glass was completely different and was a Malbec. Still sitting here after nearly two hours wondering if my half eaten meal will be cleared and I will be offered a dessert menu. I hope that this was a bed night, but it did not go well!

It was our wedding anniversary we were staying at the holiday inn express which is next to the fox den i joined online but couldnt use the voucher as my account hadnt been running long enough which was a shame. We bookked for 5.30 as we were going to see Paul Weller in concert at the bristol beacon at 7.30. We were greeeted by Owen who wished us a happy anniversary and he showed us to our table in the dining area he was very polite and welcomed us .however we did have a half an hour wait for our food which when served to us they did apologise for the wait. The food was lovely very tasty but we had to rush a little as we didnt have alot of time . Overall we had a lovely meal and a well mannered polite server. Many thanks if we are in the area again we will visit for a meal.

My wife and I have not been here for a few years, as previously the staff were not always that pleasant, and the food not great. We thought we would give it another go on Mothers Day and booked for 12 pm. We were greeted by Owen who showed us to our table, and took our order. The food and drinks arrived very quickly and were superb. We both had Sunday roasts, which were great, especially the roast potatoes, and the gravy was so tasty. The puddings were just as good. Owen checked on us regularly, without being overbearing, and was extremely pleasant. My wife and I really enjoyed our visit this time, as not only was the food good, but we felt that all the staff really wanted us to enjoy our visit. We have booked again for 7th April and will report back if our experience then is any different.

We went to the Fox Den for Sunday lunch today and the food was absolutely delicious. The pub had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and our server Olly was helpful, friendly and a credit to the pub, thank you!

We arrived a couple of minutes before 12 as our booking was for 12pm, waited outside until opening and then were seated accordingly. One of our mains didn’t arrive until 15 minutes after the rest with absolutely no apology from the staff. Another of the mains ‘chicken, bacon and avocado salad’ turned up with no avocado whatsoever. The majority of us had ordered off of the lunchtime deal menu (2 courses for £15.95) and yet all of us that had were overcharged and charged full price off of the main menu for starters and mains. We were there for a work lunch, 4 of us had starters, all of us had mains and it took over 2 hours. The majority of the food was tasty but considering the time it took and what we ended up paying that is to be expected.

Been here a few times with no problems hence returning when we can. Last time we were there had to wait 20 mins for order to be taken even thou the place was almost empty. Had most of the items on the menu was out of stock. Will visit again ..... hopefully will regain my faith.

Oustanding food and service from arrival to departure

Not good value for money. Food tasteless. Couldnt hear very well as music was loud and dark lighting Staff were good although understaffed.

Food was ok, although had to send a cold pizza back. It was OK when a fresh one served. Beer was good with a good choice and a nice relaxing environment with plenty of parking available. Worth a visit.

Nice varied menu, great service from 'baby boy' but the vegans are scuppered for dessert, the vegan crumble is a third of the size of the normal crumble!

Table of 12 last night for a meal- food was perfect- one steak was slightly underdone for how the person liked (personal preference) but was replaced straight away and refunded without even asking- Nathan our server was outstanding- remembered drinks people had from previous orders, managed to get every meal correct even for the fussy ones, was friendly and generally a credit to the business.

The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I can't say there was anything to improve. I'd like to give a small nod the lovely Irish lad behind the bar, he was welcoming as soon as we came through the door and such a pleasure to talk to

Have visited the Fox Den on numerous occasions and have always been happy with the service and food unfortunately last night Monday 19th Feb the food was vey poor. The chicken burgers were cold and the plate was so empty seemed like something was missing! For £17 very disappointing

Worst service and rude staff. Definately somewhere to avoid.

Went here for Christmas lunch with some friends in December. When I booked online there was only one slot available but it looked not that busy when we arrived which is a bit unusual. The menu was big which is great as we all have different tastes. The roast itself was tasty but the potatoes were rock solid, like maybe overcooked or sat around too long idk. The staff were great, super friendly and overall seems like a nice spot.

I met friends for dinner. It was a convenient location as we were staying at the Holiday Inn Express. Food was pleasant and the atmosphere and service was fine.

I waited 1 hour for my dessert the 2 tables beside me ordered after me and paid and left before my dessert even arrived

Nice looking pub, fresh flowers all around, clean and tidy. Food was nice, though a little expensive (£16+ for fish and chips). Waitress was a little inattentive, but the bar staff were friendly. Food came out piping hot and beautifully presented

A friend and myself booked a table at 19.00 on New Years Eve. For Starters we ordered Prawn Cocktail which looked quite nice but very little sauce, and a minuscule of salmon. Main Course we ordered Sirloin Steak [ both medium.) Once served I found my steak overdone to "well-done" / and other "medium rare." Immediately I called the waiter over, who took the meals away and arranged to have the Chef cook fresh Steaks.which came back correctly cooked - though disappointed with both being chewy/tough (poor quality) I also learned toward the end of the evening that when my partner first ordered the White Chardonnay Wine unbeknownst to her it was replaced with wine that tasted bitter and not sweet like the Chardonnay she received from you on Boxing Day. At the end of the evening we were both upset and very disappointed with the quality of food/wine and poor service in such a nice pub/restaurant .... Will be reluctant to visit again.

Very very slow on service, some foods not available

Booked a table for joint birthday celebration. Arrived 15 mins early amd shown to a table. Was 25 mins after arrival that someone came to take order. Expected drink and food order to be placed at same time. Place order for drinks starter amd mains, waitress then asked would that be all for food. 20 mins later starters wee served and had to ask for the drinks, one of which was missing whem served. Table cleared from starters for mains, no questions asked for drinks refills. When mains finished waited an age for the rable to be cleared and then gave up waiting for anyone to ask if we wanted desserts. Paid at the bar as no one approached the rable, which meant the pub missed out on additional drinks and 4 desserts and coffees. Shockingingly poor service. Other occasions we have recieved good service. Pub was not overly busy so cannot be put down to lack of staffing.....just poor service
