Beefeater Grill in South Gloucestershire

Was a Very Nice Christmas dinner & a few beers, with my dear wife. We will do it again at some point.

Everything is OK but I have found other venues to be a lot better

Unpleasant experience at reception !

Food lovely,good price but why can't you sit where you want despite being pretty much empty at 3pm? They want to put you right next to another table with literally 6inches from you ! May as well sit you on same table

Good service, friendly staff . Busy atmosphere . Food very nice , plenty of choice.

Absolute shambles! Staying at the hotel so booked via them the evening before. Arrived for the booking at 7pm with a queue out the door and no one knowing what was going on. The lady who served me (Tracey) said “they haven’t booked you in, you’ll have to eat at the bar”. No offer of a table upstairs which I’m guessing they didn’t want to open because it meant more cleaning (even though they sat other tables up there). I then went to the bar area where it was even worse. A bar full of people trying to order food and drink and a bar seating area full of dirty plates and half empty drinks so you didn’t know what tables were free or not. What a waste of 30 minutes. Never again.

It's a Beefeater, food and drink - you know what to expect and did exactly that. Staff were particularly good being helpful and friendly.

Lovely lunch today ,had the smothered chicken, not my usual choice ,but the chicken was succulent ,bacon nicely cooked and the BBQ sauce was pleasant ,staff friendly and very accomadating one of the best Beefeaters I've ate in .

Great place to eat, nice atmosphere and friendly and efficient service

Not a very good experience. Sat at our table at 2.15 and didn't get served our meal until 3.30. Service was extremely slow. Had to flag staff down several times for drinks, condiments and such because they weren't attentive. They would come and bring drinks and not take away any empties so the table got very full. The food was mediocre at best, it was all a bit dry and had been sat under the heat lamp for quite a while. Went to use the ladies room and there was faeces on the floor and on the toilet seat etc. Over all not a very nice experience and will not be returning.

One of the better beefeaters, decor wise. Still the same tired menu and alcohol selection

I had the steak flatbread for lunch and although the steak was very chewy, I enjoyed the rest of the meal and the service was good and efficient.

Josh , our server was very good , friendly and helpful, even though he was under pressure.Food was as expected, steaks were cooked well .Only drawback was the breaded mushrooms. Coating was rock hard , and mushrooms undercooked.

Friendly staff but not the best food very disappointing the steak and lamb very chewy and it all lack flavour.

Me and my partner come here all time with family and friends. We came here night for a meal. The meal was very disappointing . When our meal came to our table our steaks were both cold and we had to send them back to the kitchen . They just warm up the steaks up and when they came back they were still cold. Me and my partner did not want to mean again so we did not enjoy our meal. We ordered desserts I ordered a cappuccino and a mini chocolate brownie and when that came out it was cold and there was no cream or ice cream with it was so dry and not very nice to eat. So I left it and my partner pay 5.49 for it and I feel what waste of money for that. Me and my partner will not be rushing back here again anytime soon.

Great experience, went with some of the family (6 of us in total). Waiting time was a little long, but I'm guessing they were understaffed that day. Staff were kind, let us switch tables after we realized it was a bit too close to the entrance door (It was cold, haha!) and polite when giving us our food. Food tasted great, no complaints on my side, definitely worth the wait! Interior was nice, your average comfy restaurant feeling to it. Overall, pretty good. Worth another visit.

Haven't been for a while but they have stepped up there game Sunday roast for 5 adults and 2 kids meals all with extra and alterations...but all meals came out perfect out waitress was attentive throughout our visit and the manager even took time to chill out our devil 18 month grandson who got board lol thanks .....we will return

Good, reasonably priced breakfasts. Stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn over a weekend and despite being busy on the Sunday morning the staff kept the buffet well stocked and responded quickly to a request for poached eggs. Friendly welcome from Deb, Emma and Katee P, I’d visit this Beefeater again.

Very good carvery at a good price. Very helpful staff and I really felt comfortable dinning here.

Went along with my daughter for an evening meal and was served by Dave. W. It was his first day on the job, and I think we were his first ever table! He was friendly, cheerful and attentive. Food was lovely, but for some reason I wasn't allowed to swap my corn on the cob, which I don't like, for a couple of onion rings. Atmosphere was good, but a little noisy as it was very busy. Had the chicken and ribs combo which was delicious. Chicken succulent, lots of meat on ribs and triple cooked chips lovely! My daughter had the bacon burger which she said is probably the best burger she has had in a pub/restaurant. We will definitely visit again soon.

Went on Saturday evening.Had fillet steak,cooked just right.Served by Casey who was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.Really enjoyed the evening,will be back.

Came from hull 4/1/2 hours drive visited for breakfast nothing at all ready ran out of mugs staff just walked past eatery looking but not bringing food out and the chef just playing on his phone the place is a comedy of errors

What a lovely time. The waiter Lee was brilliant. Excellent service. Best waiter I have ever had any where. Polite and helpful. He didn't stop all night. We will definitely come again. The food was excellent too. A good happy atmosphere.

Food was dissapointing, dried up pie and old and stale chips. Food was priced well with a discount code, however I wouldn't be happy paying full price. Drinks are overpriced.

Great service and food all around, wasnt very busy while I was there but I definitely felt cared after. With my partner being a vegetarian he really enjoyed the halloumi burger “the best one I’ve had in a very long time”. For me the mix grill is never a miss. Just like to appreciate the lady who sat me down I believe her name was Emma and the gentleman on the bar I think Alex was his name. Amazing customer service from both of them they really deserve all the praise you should give❤️

Nine of us went for lunch to celebrate my dad’s 86 bday. Very disappointed. Food came out slowly and cold. Asked time and time again for condiments and refills of drinks and were ignored. I ate most of my meal cold, no condiments and no drink. I kept going over to server who said it was on its way but went off to take orders from other tables. My son found hair in his mixed grill. Manager said he’d take £1 off for each meal! So I do NOT recommend this restaurant!!!!!

We visited the beefeater for a Sunday roast that was advertised on their website, but when we arrived, we were informed they were no longer doing the Sunday roast. We gave our drinks order, and we were offered full fat coke as a refill option that my daughter and her partner accepted. When it came to the refill, we were informed that full fat coke was not available in the refill so when I queried this I just got the response "coke is not on the refillable option" I explained that this is what we got offered at the start of the meal but just got the same response. I belive that the response should have been, " my apologies for the misunderstanding and I will address it with the member of staff". Obviously customer service isn't a requirement anymore which is a shame. After an hour we finally had our food order taken and when it finally arrived the calamari and steak on the surf and turf were cold. Normally I would have complained but after waiting an hour and a half for the food I wasn't willing to wait for them to sort it out. We ordered dessert and then the waiter returned after 15 mins to ask what the second group had ordered.even though he had it written down in his hand🙈. After dessert we had to wait a further 20 mins for the bill and then had to go and track down the waiter to pay. I could understand if it was busy but it wasn't and the service and customer service was appalling. We were in the restaurant for just over two and a half hours for a meal and dessert.

Without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Dreadful, slow service by a waitress who simply didn’t care. Food eventually came out and ordered the combo. Ribs were completely burnt and inedible, chips were cold, chicken was overcooked and wings were bland. Safe to say that we’ll never return.

Such a disappointing experience. Seated at 6pm, waiting for someone to take our order. At 6.20 no one had even spoke with us, so I decided to go to the bar myself to order our drinks and bring them to our table. Waitress then came over at 6.25 to take our food and drink order. We have our 1 year old son with us, so I asked the lady at the front of house if the wait for food is long, as my child needs dinner and he has a bedtime, to which she tells me it won’t be very long. The wait was infact, quite long. We didn’t end up leaving until 8.05 for 2 courses and 1 drink each. We even had to hurry the bill along so we could get home to get our son to sleep. A table nearby left as they waiting 15 mins to be served and no one showed up. Another lady on the table next to us got given the wrong meal, she then waited 30 minutes for her correct meal to be brought out. Her husband had already finished his meal. The worst dining experience I’ve ever had. You couldn’t pay me to return here.

Bit of a wait for food order to be taken, people served out of tern. But food good when it arrived.

I stayed at hotel got a meal deal I ordered steak sampler so £7 extra to pay the starter came out straight away I then had to wait 45 mins for main meal it was just warm chips cold I asked waitress if it could be warmed up she returned a while later with a smaller plate it had my steak which I had I bite from ten chunky chips not fries as before one tomato one mushroom No onion rings peas so it was half the size of original meal and only chips were hot steal I mentioned it to member of staff they said we’re busy I won’t be eating their again when I stay

Food was great had my frist pint of large asked for a 2 nd pint of large and got refused. I question why and was refused an answer manager did not speak to me. So I refused to pay bill as I did get a true answer. Waitress amazing very good

Our server Lee was brilliant! From the moment we sat down he was friendly & attentive. Drinks were ordered & delivered quickly, Lee gave us plenty of time to order our food & supported our choices with expert knowledge. We could see that it was extremely busy but Lee took time to engage with ourselves & other tables (incl ones with children) who all clearly enjoyed having Lee as the server. 10/10 Lee for making our visit an enjoyable one.

I wrote a review about a year ago about the lack of food availability when having breakfast and speaking to Dolly the manager not being very helpful. Our last 5 visits have been very good all the food available at the the same time when going for breakfast ( which is all I ask ) great food but can tell they are short staffed as the staff are running around like headless chickens, not a critique probably due to budget but they are understaffed. Keep it up definitely an improvement.

Visited with my friend on Friday 16th August. Waiter sitted us promptly. Food ordered and drink ordered when we were ready. I ordered the original combo and my friend ordered the mixed grill. Both came out hot. Very tasty and enjoyed every bit. The service was amazing.

Very poor felt as though I was served a childs meal

My family of 10 went for breakfast this morning , Clare was absolutely fantastic she could not do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. 5 star.

We had a lovely meal in your Emersons Green restaurant. Great food, waitress was rushed off her feet though as they were short staffed. Used a 25% off food voucher. It was really nice.

This was our 1st ever visit. The staff were really good at accommodating our daughter and kept her entertained. The placed it very nice on the inside. What really let it down was the food. The food was tasteless. It had no flavour and therefore made it difficult to eat. I have never had a steak that had zero taste. The mayonnaise my daughter turned away and she will eat anything. The burger was edible, but with a struggle.

Went here for a meal with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Food was lovely. Service from Sally and Katie was great, both very attentive. Would definitely return

We had a flat tire just outside on the ringroad by the Beefeater. We had to pull in their carpark and the staff were really friendly and let us sit and wait for AA , use the facilities and brought cold bottled water and cups for us to drink on a very hot day. Thanks for the hospitality.

Lovely Restaurant very friendly staff. The food was nice and well priced. There was a lot of customers in but (hope I got the names right) sally, Katie & Emma worked well. Tim, Milosz and Brandon were working very hard. Thank you for taking the time to make are evening enjoyable.

3 courses for £23 & a free drink, had calamari to start, ribs & chicken, fudge brownie, staff helpful, very nice.

I’d not been here in years and some friends invited us out to Sunday lunch . I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The roast beef dinner , with extra Yorkshire and potatoes was amazing. I’ll definitely be back!

Loved the outdoor space especially as the sun was shining on that day! Great view. Disappointedly dinner didn't live up to expectations.

Went last month for my cousin's birthday. Wait time for food was over an hour and a half and the food we received was cold and the cuts of steak were awful. Some of the wait staff were talking and laughing about our table and one of the staff was extremely rude as he chose to argue with us over the wait time. One of the managers comped our meal and was one of the few polite staff, but its safe to say none of us will be returning.

Bit outdated, food ok, service friendly but a bit lacking detail.

Almost empty, yet we were seated upstairs. Might have been a great reason but I got a vague look when I asked. Quite a wait to have our order taken, then a longer wait for our food, which was mediocre at best. Beefeater has definitely gone pearshaped.

Bad service, poor food, ding ding, dirty atmosphere no personality

Stopped off here on our way from a trip to Bath and had a lovely meal. Most of us had burgers. The double crunch chicken burger is a particular favourite. There were 7 of us but the staff still managed to bring all food out together, piping hot. We got a 40% off main meals voucher so it was excellent value for money. The waitresses were the right amount of friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was exciting due to the England game being on the TV (which my two sons greatly appreciated). Highly recommended this lovely, clean, modern restaurant.

Made booking for 5 people. Friday night. Excellant bar service and staff. All our varied starters, mains and desserts were excellant. Excellant table service. No complaints at all.

Food was okay, but no better than your standard pub grub. Quiet atmosphere and comfortable. Great service. The only thing that really let this place down was the sticky tables.

Had a lovely meal served by Sally, and cooked by James and Brandon! Served on hot plates, my husband had a mixed grill, and I had the gammon all cooked to perfection, and lovely service by Sally.

Me and my grandad come here most weekends as the value of the food quality can’t be beat. The staff are always helpful and keep everything stocked, especially Deborah who works tirelessly to make sure everything is there for you. She’s a star
