My friend had the chicken skewers with the salad and chicken looked like it had been preheated a few times to the point that it was inedible and we had to ask a refund for her plate. I had the burger which was fine. And the food took over 40mins to arrive.

Dropped in as friends had forgotten we were visiting and had gone out for dinner! 120 miles from home we needed food. Wehad the Sunday Roast beef, it was really good, we usually give the fatty bits to ourdog. He went hungry as the meat was lean. Dog friendly pub with very helpful staff.

Friendly welcoming staff. Food is great! Drinks also. I have visited a few times with friends and will definitely be back again!!!

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, and you could tell a lot of care went into every plate. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent food and service!

Came in for a breakfast and loved the size of the classic breakfast and was perfectly cooked would definitely recommend

This was the first time we visited this pub/ restaurant, Sunday lunch was awful dried up vegetables,nearly roast potatoes beef was tough. We arrived for our meal at 1pm waited quite a long time after ordering,it had obviously been pre cooked and put in the microwave. Asked for horseradish sauce we were informed it was not available as difficult to buy it these day.

On Wednesday 2 April we said Good Bye to my 92 year old mother. The obvious choice to book the wake was The Beaufort on the Green at Stoke Gifford as mum lived just down the road for over 50 years. She would refer to it as her local even though she didn’t drink and in later years had not visited there! I ordered the Gold Buffet and was not disappointed. The food was lovely. All freshly cooked, well presented and plentiful. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The Beaufort has a very good ambiance and is evidently popular with all age groups. We will definitely be going back again but not waiting until we are celebrating a passed life. Thank you The Beaufort you done mum proud!

Decent pub can run out of ales quite often though and service can be a bit hit and miss

I visited this pub with some friends on a beautiful spring day which allowed us to enjoy the sun This place is perfect after a walk on the beautiful Three Cliff bay beach. The burger definitely satisfied me The meat was quite juicy and of good quality. The vegetarian lasagna was quite rich in flavour. A place to definitely visit where we felt very comfortable.

Good value food with lots of interesting specials. Good staff and reasonable value. Busy though so betttrr to arrive before 1pm for lunch as they like their pub in stoke Gifford !

Wanted Famous grouse whisky ,bottle on shelf showed small drop in it,so could not replace bottle when almost gone!!only had bells for choice ,I don't like bells, so never had anything, Surely this can br stocked up!!!!

Me- soup, steak and creme brulee. My wife- garlic mushrooms, pie and Eaton mess. Starters were a hit. very nice and pipping hot ( the server was very sure to make us aware) mains not so much. steak was cooked perfectly to my taste but to anyone who doesn't like pepper it would be too much, the pie was dry and the greens swimming in oil (buttered?) Desserts- again a bit hit and miss creme brulee absolutely lovely but the Eaton mess not enough fruit (counted 1 piece of strawberry) and the sauce overpowered everything. The staff are just the right level of attentive and friendly. The above comments put aside. lovely place and would return again

Charming Bar Staff good service

Good beer and friendly staff. The range of beers is not as good as it used to be. The outside is looking tatty and the cigarette bin looks horrendous. Just been promoted to update this on any changes. Cigarette bin gone but more changes on the way. Refurbished, a little disappointed as I hoped for more comfortable seating such as the Three Brooks have introduced. Please put some bins outside so the local litter pickers have less work from you. Update: I saw a barmaid serve a pint, look at the pint and say "That looks a bit cloudy, would you like something else instead?". If only other places kept an eye on quality like that.

Best brunch around, for under a tenner the breakfast is so good. Service was great and loved the fire place on. Will definitely be back.

Amanda the staff member has been exceptional with customers who created problems but she has been very professional.

The new menu is a big improvement to the old one. Can highly recommend the Tandoori Chicken Skewer with Cajun Fries. The general feel of the place has really picked up since it had its makeover.

My wife and I decided to have my Birthday lunch close to home, we arrived at 12:30 on the 10/02/2025, to be welcomed by the usual bar person, which we found before to be very helpful, and then another person who seemed to try and take over , but then didn't listen and started to get the order wrong. We ordered our meals, I had a sirloin steak, my wife had burger and bacon. My steak arrived, (taking in the menu said onion rings) well forget that scraps of onion dipped in batter then dished up. Dare I say cold, a portion of chips Luke warm, peas so hard and cold. Now the steak, I would probably enjoy the leather on my shoes, tuff as old boots, my wife's burger, well can you mess that up the jury is still out. I went back to the bar after our meal to purchase another beer, the bar was empty, I went to the toilets (which was very clean) and came back still no one behind the bar, enough was enough I went back to the table to see and hear the manageress chating to a friend she went to school with. When we decided to go , she was at the bar we asked to pay , the response was ok sweet, in my opinion unfortunately the food and service have gone down hill rapid. Will I return, definitely Not for food, bitterly disappointed Birthday lunch, thanks for ruining what was a good day.

Really nice pub with people working there who genuinely care about the food and service they provide. Ive been a fair few times and been served by some friendly and hospitable women and gentlemen (Lily M and James) One of the last pubs with good character and great drinks and food. You can't go wrong.

Busy with fire, so fairly nice atmosphere I guess for a sit down pub on weeknight, but fish and chips was worst I've eaten that I can remember. Handed me a pint glass and unopened can of guiness at the bar, to poor myself ? 4 min walk from station. I'd have a drink to meet someone for work, but wouldn't pay them for food again.

We had our wake here the staff was amazing nothing was to much for them to help make things easy for family and friends after the funersl there was hot tea lovely fire burning to warm everyone up the food was amazing everyone was very please there was a selection of sandwiches sausage rolls salads dry hot chips chicken fish mushrooms ect to satisfy all appetites there was even food left for some to take home so if you want a puffy for any a cation this is definitely the place to go and the price is also very good

Christmas dinner with friends, Well catered for 14 of us. The bar/food area was quite cosy with good bar service, I noticed the outside area and bar had a good view of the village green,with their distinct look.

we had 20 people having Christmas lunch. Service was very prompt and friendly and sorting the payment out at the end was nice and easy too. As we had pre-ordered it might have been easier if the staff also had a copy of who had ordered what. Food was really good, everyone enjoyed it and it was good value.

Conveniently located close to Bristol Parkway station. Reservation easy to book on line. Friendly Staff. Establishment is clean and well maintained. Food was well cooked and served nice and hot. Staff are very polite and friendly.

We had booked lunch for a party of twenty and advised our menu choices in advance. Unfortunately on the day thanks to Great Western Railway a number of our group were delayed by two and a quarter hours and had to abandon their journey leaving us five short for lunch. The manager could not have been more helpful in firstly delaying our lunch while we awaited developments and then catering for the curtailed number. The meal was fine, served by friendly, competent and enthusiastic staff and helped rescue our celebratory lunch into something memorable for all the right reasons.

Went for a festive lunch. The chicken with the garlic and cheese sauce was amazing value for money. Will have to come back for it again.

We didnt think anything was great. We were greeted by a very grumpy bar attendant - not smile, nothing. Not even a hello - we explained that we had a booking and they just pointed to the table in the corner. We ordered our drinks and were told they needed a credit card for tab etc. No issues there - it was just the manner in which it was explained. The drinks were poured and slammed on to the counter as if we were just an inconvenience being there. We took our table - ordered our food. Three people ordered the Avacado and grain salad - two with Halloumi and one with chicken skewer. When the salads arrived - there was no avacado and a "scattering" of grains... a mound of lettuce leaves and a couple of chopped up tomatoes and some cucumber. It was a joke! We complained to the bar attendant - same "happy" one as before - and they took one of the salads away and it came back with a few more grains on it - at which point we said there were two others with the same issue - and also that there was still no avocado on it. They huffed and took the plates back to the kitchen - when they came back they had a few cubes of avocado on them and still no more grains! By this time, one of our party was fuming and he went to the bar to complain and ask them to sort out the meals - the bar attendant (same happy one as before) said to another lad "you better sort this out as its more "your thing""!!!! Said lad came over and found out what the issue was and went to the kitchen and got a bowl full of grains for the three people to share between them. It was a joke! The other meals - I had "seasoned chips" with my lunch - there was no seasoning on the whatsoever. Another colleague has Hunters Chicken Schnitzel which was dry as a bone. Absolutely would NOT recommend anyone to visit your establishment - not for the service OR the food.

The staff are great, the atmosphere is great but the food portions are so stingy for the price. Nearly seven quid for cheesy ciabatta garlic bread that was tiny (see photo).

One of the best pubs in north Bristol. Always a great atmosphere and the live music that they on is always good. Would definitely recommend! Proper village pub.

Popped in Sunday for a roast dinner. The turkey was very good. Being a regular ale drinker I have to say the quality was perfect and I look forward to my next pint of butcombe.

Had Sunday lunch here. Was atleast a 15 minutes wait for drinks which we had to chase up and was told’I don’t deal with the drinks’ when drinks came only 2 came and was a further wait for the other 2. Starters were ok but there wasn’t a lot of sauce. These dishes were t cleared when mains came and we had to use the same cutlery. Roast potatoes and cauliflower were raw. Gravy was very thin. The wellington turned out to be a pie with no Yorkshire and new potatoes instead of roast potatoes which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. When we raised a complaint we were told there was nothing they could do about it. Was not asked once during our stay how the food was.

Just back from an extremely disappointing Sunday lunch at the Beaufort Arms. Firstly, let's address the misleading menu - if you are a vegetarian/vegan, you will NOT receive the food as advertised. I ordered a spinach and mushroom wellington, which according to the menu, should be served with roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The meal that arrived was not in fact, a wellington at all, but just a basic pie, there was no yorkshire and boiled potatoes and been substituted for the roast potatoes. According to the meat eaters however, I didn't actually miss anything with regards to the roast potatoes, as they were pretty undercooked inside. In fact, the quality of all of the meals was pretty poor and our side of cauliflower cheese was very undercooked/raw/hard. However, it was the customer service (or lack of) that really let this venue down, with servers who didn't care, late orders, plates not cleared and staff who swore blind that 'All of our Sunday mains are served with crisp roast potatoes, mixed greens, braised red cabbage*, roasted carrots, Yorkshire pudding and a rich gravy.' didn't actually mean that! The 'rich gravy' was also a misnomer, it was very watery and tasteless. Having been looking forward to a nice sunday roast, we all left feeling very disappointed, ripped off and will not be returning.

Macayla is always friendly and accommodating. We love the friendly atmosphere in the pub especially on a Thursday evening when the Bristol male voice choir sing. What a lovely local pun! Great atmosphere.

Booked a table for 4 people. Got there to be told go find your table and there wasn't a table booked for us even though had email confirmation. Tables were left a mess and food all on the floor. Meal came out wrong had to be sent back.

Top notch Village pub, can’t beat a classic british pub! The manager was really friendly, and the team made my experience one to remember, will definitely back for the food and drinks, but i’d come back just for the staff alone!

Decided to stop into this pub on my way back from work, was really pleased with the food, and a good line up of beers too, but what made the visit for me, was the staff and the manager, made it a memorable experience and I’ll definitely be rushing back!

Had a really lovely evening with my partner. Pune was looking nice and fresh. The food was great along with the service given.

We regularly visit the Beaufort Arms for drinks (which is great) and occasionally for food. We have noticed that the food has deteriorated in quality over the past two years. The degradation in quality has now reached an unacceptable level. Ember Inns have a special offer on at the moment (40% off main meals) which may explain things to a certain extent, but the portion sizes, quality of ingredients and general appeal of the food is now awful. There is no excuse for it, it’s embarrassing. We sat down as a party of 5, had a round of drinks + food and received a final bill of over £100, even with the special offer. Extremely underwhelming.

Very cozy and warm. We enjoyed the beef roast as it was very fresh and delicious.

Had hours to wait for a train so I headed for the nearest pub and it turned out to be this lovely place. Really lovely

First time my partner and I have ever been here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. Food, service, staff and overall ambience were excellent. We brought my Mum with us. She'd not been inside the Beaufort Arms since 1968!! Obviously she noticed a lot of change, but she really enjoyed the experience too, especially as one of the members of staff knew a lot of the history and people of the village that my Mum knew.

Went for a quick drink, the pub was very busy and loud as you would expect on a summers Friday evening

Rude bar staff. Didn't believe I had made an online booking despite me showing my confirmation email. Staff showed me the pub iPad with table bookings/names. Surely this is against GDPR? On refresh my booking appeared. Ordered 2 meals, only 1 meal was presented at a time. Can the kitchen not cope with more than one meal at a time?! All the vegetables, including the extras ordered, were stewed and luke warm. The mains were not much better. We won't step foot inside that establishment again.

Just popped in for a drink last Thursday afternoon, not been in ages. Great atmosphere, served quickly, great manner & upsale!! Only 1 bar team member, quite busy but dealt with it like a boss!! Very impressed, will be back

A lovely pub with a great welcoming atmosphere. We were served so quickly at the bar for drinks. Great prices and service from all staff. We also ordered food later on in the evening, great food and quick service. Will definitely be returning.
