Excellent pub I cannot fault anything

Had a really lovely evening with my partner. Pune was looking nice and fresh. The food was great along with the service given.

We regularly visit the Beaufort Arms for drinks (which is great) and occasionally for food. We have noticed that the food has deteriorated in quality over the past two years. The degradation in quality has now reached an unacceptable level. Ember Inns have a special offer on at the moment (40% off main meals) which may explain things to a certain extent, but the portion sizes, quality of ingredients and general appeal of the food is now awful. There is no excuse for it, it’s embarrassing. We sat down as a party of 5, had a round of drinks + food and received a final bill of over £100, even with the special offer. Extremely underwhelming.

Very cozy and warm. We enjoyed the beef roast as it was very fresh and delicious.

Had hours to wait for a train so I headed for the nearest pub and it turned out to be this lovely place. Really lovely

First time my partner and I have ever been here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. Food, service, staff and overall ambience were excellent. We brought my Mum with us. She'd not been inside the Beaufort Arms since 1968!! Obviously she noticed a lot of change, but she really enjoyed the experience too, especially as one of the members of staff knew a lot of the history and people of the village that my Mum knew.

Went for a quick drink, the pub was very busy and loud as you would expect on a summers Friday evening

Rude bar staff. Didn't believe I had made an online booking despite me showing my confirmation email. Staff showed me the pub iPad with table bookings/names. Surely this is against GDPR? On refresh my booking appeared. Ordered 2 meals, only 1 meal was presented at a time. Can the kitchen not cope with more than one meal at a time?! All the vegetables, including the extras ordered, were stewed and luke warm. The mains were not much better. We won't step foot inside that establishment again.

Great pub didn't eat but sure it's quality

Just popped in for a drink last Thursday afternoon, not been in ages. Great atmosphere, served quickly, great manner & upsale!! Only 1 bar team member, quite busy but dealt with it like a boss!! Very impressed, will be back

A lovely pub with a great welcoming atmosphere. We were served so quickly at the bar for drinks. Great prices and service from all staff. We also ordered food later on in the evening, great food and quick service. Will definitely be returning.

Had lunch outside, loved the crispy chicken ciabatta. Great atmosphere and the service was so good. Hanging basket and the flower beds were lovely.

Me and my partner decided to order food for collection whilst a train layover. On entering the pub it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to serve us or even ask if we needed anything. The service seemed forced in that they didn’t want to be there or help. And in relation to the food, well I don’t know where to start. We ordered two burgers and sides. We asked for things to be taken off our burgers( as option on website) and even paid extra for bbq sauce on one of the burgers. These asks were not met in the slightest. And they were offered options. From here, the chips were clearly of another batch as cold, soggy, stale and flavourless which really disappointed us. The chocolate brownie tasted like sludge due to the lack of chocolate flavour and was something we didn’t enjoy. For the price we paid, I would have to say that it hasn’t been worth it. The only good thing about this place is the convenience and closeness to the station for accessible food options on longs. Left with disappointment and even some regret.

Chicken breast was cut in half and most probably fed to a hungry pub staff. Honestly, a half of a breast fillet was missing. I' ve never before had a portion like this.)) There also was only 8 chips on the plate and some garden peas. It laid in the way as it was counted one by one by a strict manager. The massive duck blue plate contained just so tiny amount of food. It feels that I came to National History museum to look at the plates collection, rather to enjoy the food. There was no mention of a mushroom or tomato. The whole dish looked very odd and kind of petty. I wanted to say Sorry to this dish as it was so sad to look at.))) No busy place, and other two couples were staring at my plate. Won't visit this place again.

Drink or eat both inside and out. Very pleasant surroundings, stones throw from Parkway station.

Very busy place when we visited as a staff member was sick but the 2 staff dealt with it well and worked very hard! Food come out in good time, and was excellent.

Arrived at Parkway train station so decided to have a meal. Went to this nearby pub and had a delicious Beef Lasagna with cajun fries.

Great time with friends. The 4 of us had 3 courses each and couldn’t believe how cheap it was, great value for money and really friendly service from the team.

Always easy to find something nice on the menu. Nice family meal out. Sometimes food is out of stock but the team will always try to help with an alternative.

Tom was really helpful dealing with a group of nine. The food I ordered was fairly average, although Tom did rectify the missing avocado and dressing!

Visited for the 1st time on the 16th May. Busy on arrival, tried one of the real ales which was very nice. Ordered food, tool a while to arrive but understandable considering how busy the pub was. Worth the wait came out piping hot, 2 burgers and a mixed grill. Great value with the discount :) Definitely visit again.

Ashley and his team couldn't have done more to accommodate us when we missed our train at Bristol Parkway. Great pub! Tell you now

Friendly staff, especially new member still training.

Staff were friendly and supportive, seemed a little understaffed at times, the food was really nice and the atmosphere seemed nice. Some of the seats smelt bad and the menus were soaked in vinegar, but that's a minor issue really :)

tried the Sunday Duo lunch..gammon too salty, Yorkshire pudd cold and hard, carrots under cooked..free drink if you sign up, shame as its a good vibe pub but food quality lets it down.

Described as a charming cottage country pub, but more like a Weatherspoon's working bloke sort of pub in reality. But it is one of the only places to go around Parkway train station, if you're stuck. Must be nice enough to sit outside if the weather is good.

Came on a date night with my girlfriend and was amazed by the service and quality. Especially from Scott who went above and beyond what would be expected

We ordered 2 drinks and they managed to forget 1 of them. When the food came my chips were obviously from a previous batch/ hot held as they were stale/ chewy and barely warm. I did get a sauce dish of hot chips as a replacement which was very generous- not! Service was fine but overall forgettable. Will stick to the ThreeBrooks when it comes to local EmberInns pubs.

Dropped a friend off at the pub and had a quick drink, he said the food was good so won't give a bad review. Then received a parking fine which I questioned with the pub - they were helpful, used the fine reference and said all should be sorted but received a further letter with an increase in the fine... Cannot get hold of anyone at the pub now to check this.

Went for a drink Thursday 28/3, live music was great and lovely atmosphere. Extremely busy at the bar but staff were good especially Louis who was very efficient and nice with it 👍

Lovely to meet ash, first time back to the pub since November from hearing of new management, lovely warm welcome with great food. Came back for evening entertainment where the atmosphere was electric! Not seen it like this in here for many years! Welcome ash and team!

Had a lovely meal at the beaufort with my friends. Was served by AJ. Food was amazing and had a wonderful time!

Terrible choice of available Bitters - only one from a supposed selection of 5 or 6 that are advertised. This happens very very regularly. Terrible customer relations from some of the staff who are most rude.

So disappointed..I ordered smashed avocado on toast and was in disbelief when it arrived. I have seen marmite spread thicker! Now £5.75 isn't an expensive meal but you would have expected to actually have had a decent amount of avocado and been able to taste it! Have had this before in other establishments and it was really lovely and plentiful, but the Beaufort arms dish was shocking!

We have used the home delivery option many times before and the food has always been lovely, hot and served in containers. Today it was delivered in paper bags with the two burger items covered loosely in foil. The food was awful and stone cold, what a disappointment as it cost such a lot of money and ended up in the bin. I thought long and hard before leaving this review but for £72 it was absolutely shocking. I have tried phoning but no one answers hence the review.

I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I have to speak as I find. I recently visited the Beaufort Arms for an evening meal with a family member. Upon arrival, we realised that it was a quiz night, something that doesn’t bother me, but we also realised, that there was only two bar staff serving, & therefore, slow service. The service for the food was even slower, & after waiting for nearly an hour, when the steak meal arrived, I could clearly see that it wasn’t cooked well done, as requested. So I sent the steak back, & then it came back to the table again, still undercooked! Unbelievable, so we just sent the whole lot back, & asked for our money back, wondering wether it was it even really a chef cooking the food! But what really angered me, is the fact that not only did the waiter inform us that there was only one chef working that night, but why didn’t the manageress tell us on arrival, that there would be a long wait for the food! Very bad management, & very unprofessional!

Friendly welcome and thanks when leaving. Drinks and food all ordered and paid for via app. Service and food excellent.

Decent pub with some good food options for a Sunday lunch, would’ve received 5 stars if I had a tad more gravy. Decent sized outdoor area which I’m sure is good in the summer months

A very good atmosphere, brilliant food and staff, highly recommend! 5 minute walk from Bristol parkway, I am a local resident and treat ourselves in here as a family when we can!

Food, service and staff great, very enjoyable experience

Comfortable Restaurant, spacious and friendly Staff. Ample car parking space should it be required, but do ensure you enter your vehicle registration when entering the property. The property is also Only a 5 minute walk from Bristol Parkway Rail and Bus Interchange. A good choice menu, and food was served fresh, warm and well cooked.

Pub was very busy because Rugby was on TV. Stood at the bar for a while and was ignored. Son in law (at other end of the bar) got served. Barmaid didn't seem very happy. Ordered food which didn't take too long considering how busy it was. Unfortunately food was lukewarm. My daughter ordered steak medium to well done. Came raw to medium, the only reason we didn't send it back was because of how busy it was. Would have taken a time to cook another steak, or do you just cook that one a bit more? Either way other food would have been stone cold. Not a good experience. This was our first visit and will be the last.

I've never been here before but joined my work colleagues after a good ofsted result. Food was lovely and service was excellent. Staff were polite and professional. Would definitely visit again.

Popped in for a quick pint after a table tennis match. Beer was good, atmosphere was good but was distraught to receive a parking fine for £60 in following days. I know the manager will say there are warnings etc. but when you call in for a quick couple of pints it's not the first thing you look for. So beware!! A great disappointment as the staff were friendly but maybe they could just mention the parking trap to non locals.

Came in tonight hope to get a quick bite to eat with my children. Starters came out ok but we had been waiting very long time for the mains. I was going to say I had a bad experience however the bar ladies approach and how she dealt with us made changed this to a 5 star review. So great staff and kids were happy Thank you

I accidentally left my new jumper at this pub after our train was cancelled so we visited for food and drinks. I have contacted the pub several times and left voicemails but have not had a single response. Really disappointed.

Generous servings, clean surroundings, was quite when we visited so was surprised that the food was delayed. Sticky toffee pudding disappointing, waffles humongous. Friendly staff

The food is excellent, although we did have to wait a long time for a child’s dessert, which he wouldn’t eat as the fruit was still partially frozen so far to cold for him. the staff are lovely and tried to help when we asked if we could move the table. Unfortunately there weren’t any free. As in the restaurant part there was a party of people who were drinking only. They were exceptionally loud, I couldn’t hear my friend who was less than 2 feet away. It was making my ears ring. We had an autistic child of 4 with us and he was telling us to make them quiet. It did ruin what was a lovely meal. I will recommend dining thee for Sunday lunch or lunch on any other day if the need for a quiet meal is wanted.

The Beaufort Arms still has a cosy local community feel. The food selection however has now fallen down over the last two weeks. Now 1st May 2023, when ordering food the first choice is not available or the second choice, it's actually easier to ask what is available and have that instead. That took an hour to arrive! There used to be a good selection of well kept real ales, however it's now down to two. Could still benefit from some basic maintenance unable to balance a pint on the table whilst cutting steak required all the menus under one leg to get the table stable. . . . .

Everything you want in a pub, decent food, plenty of choice on drinks and all at reasonable pricing. The staff are all polite and friendly and there's always a decent atmosphere

Great local pub & good food & drinks

My father visited this pub last year to meet up with friends past . He was early He had to wait a long time to be served. He is elderly and polite hence having to wait longer ! The atmosphere full of workers the food was luke warm . To top it all he received a fine from the car park !!. Apparently you have to buy a ticket ! Fined £100.No less ! You can pay £60. to pay within 14 days …. OH you can appeal ( but he was NOT given a receipt) AND if your not favourable you loose the option of discount !! S o back to £100. Which I think it would be anyway .ROBBERS & SHARKS ! If you don’t want to throw your money away this is not a place to go 🤬

Very tasty food, friendly staff

Top tip: if you arrive by car, record your registration number on entry so you don't get a parking fine. Friendly welcome, plenty of seating, good selection of drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The menu had a good selection of food which caters for all tastes. There is a delay when busy, but our food arrived quicker than expected which was pleasing.

Great place for local socialising and great food. Staff are friendly and brilliant atmosphere. 5 stars all round.

My favourite place when I meet up with my friends in Bristol

The Beaufort arms was arranged as the location for our meeting point with Friends who I was picking up, who I'd then take to Portishead. After a 3 hour drive, I drove past the past the pub and turned around as I could see my friends outside the front. I pulled into the car park and genuinely didn't note any signage. It's not something that would've crossed my mind when entering a public house/restaurant. Especially after a long drive. I was also a paying customer with proof of purchase. So receiving threatening letters feels unjust/immoral and is starting to weigh quite heavy. I tried to appeal with POPLA but it appears separate companies are deal with these parking charge notices? I was a paying customer.

Our group of 15 people had a pre-booked, pre-ordered Christmas lunch on 11 December. Service from bar, kitchen & waiting staff was timely, efficient and friendly, meal was good value for money and the event was a success.

I went here with a friend for a quiet meal. Our food took a while but was delicious. We had a nice table where we were able to eat, drink, and chat all evening.

Pub has just been refurbished but it is far to dark now not like it's sister pub, the Sandringham. the Beaufort is not very big and should have been done in light colours for a larger effect. As usual not enough staff and tables we still covered in plates etc following obvious Christmas parties. Very loud for a small pub, will poke our noses in again after Christmas to see if anything has changed for the better but not expecting much

As ever the Beaufort is the heart of the village. Bar staff always helpful particularly Riley
