The best restaurants serving British food in South West

This pub is open. This pub sells excellent beer, it is friendly, and they allow you to bring your own food. Refurbished in the last couple of years, it's probably the best pub in Marlborough.

The atmosphere was very unpleasant because of the terrible animosity of one of the barmaids to another. I have no idea why this was happening but it was clear that a dark curly haired girl was unkind to a tall blonde girl. She was very distressed and I heard other customers supporting her and they were considering withdrawing their custom from the pub if the other girl had her wish to get rid of her fellow worker. Apart from that it was ok but it is not okay to see staff disagreements front of house.

Very welcoming pub , real fire was very warming , staff very welcoming , food excellent ( curry night ) , drink great price

Went to call in for Lunch was all closed up looked like had been for good while just seen last review on here was march 2019 but looked as it had been closed longer ?

Land lady is a complete fruit loop, beware! She will involve you in family arguments, drag you into things that are not your concern and then blame you for getting involved even though you've told her not to involve you!

Well, we didn’t expect this! Just such a generous welcome from Andrea and attractively furnished rooms were just what we needed for a night’s rest on our epic Coastal Path walk. Thoughtful touches such as cool soft drinks in the room and a box of delicious biscuits, and quality shampoo and shower gels. Great choice of delicious food in the pub restaurant and much needed lager. The vegan chick pea and vegetable curry had the wow factor and was a well thought out excellently balanced meal. Breakfast too was excellent. Don’t know how you get the energy to work so hard Andrea, but you do it wonderfully and are the best host ever.

Lovely pub in a beautiful seaside village amazing views on the beach clam and relaxing. Food was delicious and tasty ordered two meals that was fish and chips with peas and lasagna with grill bread and side salad. Service was excellent and professional a warm and a happy environment. I would highly recommend and will come back again when next visiting.

This bar/restaurant is CLOSED DOWN. The system took our booking bug we got there and all the lights were out !!! Don’t waste time going

Great location overlooking porth beach! Always a chilled , relaxing atmosphere, great food , had nachos and burger and chips,(tasted great as always) and service is always to a high standard, can’t fault this venue at all!

Food was nice and reasonably priced.

Rhiannon was amazing, very attentive, explained everything to everyone. Never without a drink and clear about the times served. Took orders very quickly and a lovely person, gone above and beyond for all of us. Deserved a pay rise for dealing us lot!

Went for lunch on Monday, the sun was out so it was quiet with no outside space, it was nice to cool off in an air conditioned pub. Good choice of drinks and enjoyed the food very much.

Awful place, service was terrible, and the food was cold, out of tin, tables uncleared and had been there for a long time. Other visitors left after not eating their food. Drinks given in Dirty glasses. Service very very slow and they all looked stoned and very unhelpful
