Great fish snd chips. Helen always has a smile and a warm welcome for everyone. Best fish and chips in Wiltshire. Thoroughly recommend China Chef, AKA Smilies!

We enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea at The Almshouse yesterday. There were four in our party and two of us had smaller appetites so we shared 2 Modest and 2 Classic Afternoon teas. There were plenty of delicious cakes, scones and sandwiches to go around and we didn’t quite finish it all! The historic building is wonderful and it is a great setting for a relaxing time. I’d highly recommend this tea shop and if afternoon tea isn’t your thing they also have a tasty lunch and cake menu.

We had a lovely meal last night 3.5.25, attentive and friendly staff. The food was amazing - beautifully presented, excellent quality products and so tasty. We like the policy of no children under 7, the restaurant was busy with diners, spacious tables, wonderful ambiance and atmosphere, most definitely adult themed which was to our liking. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, highly recommend a visit.

Excellent food I had the pulled pork melting pot, my wife had a muffin made of various vegetable ingredients and Indian spices. Again excellent and something a little different the typical normal "burger" food you can get elsewhere

This cafe is marvellous. Bacon rolls.... mmmmm. Outdoor tables in the morning sunshine, fantastic staff, fusses and a biscuit for our dog. Thoroughly recommend. The Vic sponge and date slice both won Cake if the Week despite stiff competition in Gairloch and Torridon. Loch Ewe nearby is also amazing, achingly beautiful, perfect beach, and some poignant war time stories (and brilliant museum). Oh, and Inverewe Gardens.

Enjoyed homemade Mediterranean quiche and then afterwards we had cream tea with lattes. The hosts give top customer service. The dogs got given lots of dog biscuits shaped as bones so they were happy.

Superb fish and chips. Really, really superb. Unfortunately I was a mere tourist so only get to sample once a year or so.

Really disappointing food - very expensive for quite a bland plate of food, we were really disappointed . The only thing that was super scrummy and incredible value was the crab fritter - that was so yum! But the chicken ravioli , hogget and mushroom ragu just really lacked punch or depth of flavour. Service was good & lovely atmosphere/ decor, just the food was really disappointing . A shame because other people seem to have had much better experiences with the food here - so it really must depend on the menu you receive.

Fabulous food. First time here for about 10 years, but it was excellent in every way. Super food, very well cooked and presented, and a very good wine list. Couldn’t really be topped.

Friendly service. Nice window seats for watching the world go by. Great coffee but the highlight is home made cakes. Even the pastries. So rare!

A friend recommended this pub and we were very impressed. A good, honest, old fashioned pub with huge menu, excellent food and lovely staff. Great value and portion sizes were extremely generous. Good selection of real ale too. Such a refreshing change to find this little gem!

Such a warm & friendly welcome to this beautiful little tea room & garden, the sandwiches we had were so fresh & filling. The cakes are all home made & the cream tea & the savory cream teas were amazing. Lovely lovely we will return.

The food was on point. This restaurant serves Selmas favourite Calamare. I had the burger which was spot on too. My daughter was pleased with what she had off the children’s menu and the garlic bread. The staff was efficient and professional.

They opened especially for us to do our photo shoot for Beauty and the Beast today. A wonderful welcome in a quirky tea room; even Rufus the dog was allowed in.. Delicious hot chocolate and scrummy cakes galore. They even found a Mrs Potts teapot for us to use! Thank you Tea Inc.
