We love this small café tucked away off the main square in Devizes. Always a friendly welcome and often a good chance to chat with staff and other customers over a coffee or one of the many choices of tea. This is tea heaven with the opportunity to buy the loose tea to take home afterwards. The cake choice is good and the lunches filling! If you fancy a cream tea then these compare with any upmarket venue in Bath without the hassle and associated crazy prices. This is a veritable oasis for like minded people who want a quiet location for refreshments with a warm and friendly ambiance.

What a little gem Tea Inc is! Am not usually a tea drinker, so the vast array on offer, and the expertise of the staff, is very sadly wasted on me. I do love my coffee, though, and haven’t yet found a cup in any of the other many Devizes cafes that holds a candle to the consistently wonderful brews at Tea Inc. Slightly tucked away, but always well worth a visit - knowledgeable and welcoming staff, excellent value for money and charmingly quirky. Oh, and the food’s pretty good, too!

We stumbled upon this delightful tea shop while waiting for laundry to dry at the launderette (as we are staying on a canal boat). I’m so glad we found it!! Tea Inc had the *best* London Fog I’ve ever tasted, and the most scrumptious scones (be sure to get the premier ones!). Plus an incredible gift shop upstairs with any kind of loose leaf tea you could ask for - perfect souvenirs for family & friends.

Always my 'go-to' place in Devizes. The huge choice of tea is amazing - my favourite Chilli Chai has a fantastic bite to it. We’ve been coming to Tea Inc for several years and love its warm, friendly vibe & delicious scones. Sadly, today the warm, friendly vibe was distinctly lukewarm, although the scones were yummy. The 3 people serving spent most of the time we were there talking amongst themselves in the kitchen & not really interacting with the customers 😳 After waiting a while to be served, I had to go to the kitchen & ask for a lunch menu, then it took another age before anyone actually took our order (despite only one other table being occupied)! There was another over-long wait when we wanted to order post-lunch coffee & cake. Hoping that it was just an unfortunate off-day, because Tea Inc has always been our go-to hidden gem in Devizes

Where to start? This place is amazing! I've been going for quite some time and it is definitely my favourite spot in Devizes. I frequently take my dog with me who always gets spoiled with cheese! They are definitely dog lovers here! Although the lunch menu is petit, (understandable as so is their kitchen) they have a variety of food to cater to everyone. The Vegan Pasty is incredible and the scones are like no other, the Goats Cheese and Caramelized Red Onion is by far the best of the savoury options and when I have sweet, it can only be paired with the succulent Blackcurrant and Liquorice Jam. Paired with the Vata (destress) tea, which starts off with notes of Cardamom, Ginger and Cinnamon and as it slides down your throat you get the welcomed sweetness of the Liquorice, you just cannot go wrong. Staff are incredibly friendly and often go out of their way to make sure that everyone is receiving the best possible service, I have never once felt that service was below average. Music selection is just fabulous too, plenty of variety and songs that I haven't heard since the 80's! My happy place! Long may it continue with its success. Thank you to the whole team! A true hidden gem!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

A lovely setting – a tiny seating area crammed with eclectic trinkets – and friendly service - a warm welcome on our arrival – promised much. Things looked even better when we received separate food and tea menus, the latter filled with tempting options that included a chocolate tea and three types of Earl Grey. Of course, I settled for the traditional Earl Grey to see how their tea compared with so many others. Suffice to say that this resulted in things getting off to a poor start and then quickly going downhill. The Earl Grey had an unusual character, a heavy citrus aftertaste that reminded me of Twinings (after they changed their original best-selling blend and sent Twitter into meltdown). The unpleasantness was only exacerbated by the tea being served up in cheap clear-glass mugs – the kind that I used to see regularly in the cafes on Margate’s seafront when I was a boy. So were the unpleasant teas (my better half had a marzipan-flavoured tea that seemed to taste more of bitter almonds) seen off by wonderful food? In a word, no. Crumpets with bacon, cheese, figs, and maple syrup seemed like a wonderful combination. And if you like crumpets you will be onto a winner as they taste of little else. The bacon looked like Parma ham and had the subtle flavour of supermarket-value wafer-thin ham. The cheese was just a simple cheese spread and with little depth. The figs were soft and watery. And the maple syrup seemed diluted, providing none of the expected sweetness. Given I was expecting something special for the £18 for two that we paid, this all proved very disappointing. Still, if you like bland food in a wonderful setting, this could be tea room you have been searching for.

We tried to have lunch here but ran out of time, but having looked at the menu we resolved to return after we had done the brewery tour nearby. We are not tea drinkers so this would not seem to be a natural destination for us. The coffee however was great, but the savoury "cream tea" was brilliant. I can particularly recommend the red onion and goat's cheese. We arrived just half an hour before they shut and were very glad to have made it in time

This place has a mind boggling menu of teas, spoiled for choice, their cakes are great too. Beware of the stairs to the upper level!

I’ve been here on two occasions, but the second time we were refused service because they said they were ‘full’. It was about 4.15 and the staff, who seemed quite frazzled, said they were just going to serve the existing customers and then close at 5, plus they said there were no cakes left. Now, there were some seats and cakes still available but clearly the staff were tired and didn’t want any more customers! My friend and I thought this was quite rude and won’t be returning - instead we went to Times Square round the corner and were served lovely cream teas.

We visited on a Saturday for a light lunch. We ordered the smoked bacon and maple syrup ploughman's scones, which came with butter, cheddar cheese, chutney and apple slices. Everything was truly delicious with well-balanced flavours, but a special mention must go to the homemade scones: perfect texture and seasoning.

Visiting with family (including a baby in a stroller) and the girls serving could not have been more accommodating. We were only going to pop in for a tea or coffee, but the food looked so appealing that we ended up having a savoury and sweet cream tea each. The savoury ploughman’s was such a great idea and was really tasty. A lovely fresh cheddar, sea salt and pepper scone, served with slabs of cheddar cheese, a homemade tomato relish and real butter. I died and went to carb heaven! Just be aware, no baby change facilities and only bathroom is up a narrow flight of stairs, but we managed and it was worth it for such a lovely bite to eat in town.

We recently visited this tea room and had excellent service. They have a wide range of teas and the coffee is also very good. The downstairs seating area is quite small but there's additional seating upstairs, plus a gift shop for tea lovers. The stairs are very steep but the staff are happy to give assistance. They also serve delicious cakes and scones etc.

We visited Devizes for a holiday with my husband and were very impressed with the choice of teas on offer! We tried a traditional “cream tea” and immediately enquired if they would deliver scones to our own restaurant! :-) thank you for a wonderful experience Tea Inc!

One of the quirkiest and most charming tea shops in England. I went for the peach and orange white tea and stayed for the Smokey and the Bandit open sandwich. Try both!

My wife and myself called here this morning ( a Sunday). We were surprised how very small and quaint it was. A lovely little place. We just asked for two teas. Unfortunately we were not aware they have such a choice as we were expecting “ builders” tea. It certainly wasn’t that. Our fault! I also chose a granola bar to eat which was delicious. It seems that it is a popular place to go despite its tiny size. We will go there again as it seems a venue which isn’t going to be taken over by mobile phone using mothers with pushchairs and their offspring running around.
