The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Always visit the Blue Peter inn when I go to Polperro. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is lovely and service is immaculate!

Very good food and friendly staff

Our first visit for breakfast and won’t be our last! Great service by friendly staff and the breakfast was fantastic. We had a large breakfast with tea and it came to £29.50 for 2. The sausages are gluten free and they offer GF bread. Plenty of parking in the car park opposite plus on street parking available too. If you’re a fan of a delicious breakfast the you should definitely visit.

This was a favourite bustling place with cakes & pastries to die for plus a great breakfast. Now on what would have been a busy day it’s half empty, self service & nothing to tempt us on the cake counter. Only good point is it’s still dog friendly!

We went on a quiet Thursday evening and had a memorable, happy time. All the staff were attentive and interacted well w us and each other. I wrote down their names but sadly that slip of paper got binned along with my usual collection of 'notes to act on', by Mr Tidy.. The intellectual manager, the smiley girl [Dawn?], the 17 year old [M......] with a southern accent who's about to get the increased wages.. the men who cooked our excellent fish& chips... we wish you all well; Torquay's gain. The building will one day be a classic, but is perhaps too 'open'.. some big, indoor plants may help? I expect it's quite noisy when there's a full house. We were recommended to go there by our bnb and have no regrets. Thanks to all!

Can't comment on food, both times we tried to order - lunch and at 5 - we were told they don't serve it. Very rude staff. Sign says cafe and open and sign says they serve food but evidence suggest otherwise.

We have used this restaurant for many many years and we have never been disappointed. It was very busy but we found a table for two tucked away. We didn’t have to wait too long to be served by a very helpful young lady. I had the fish and chips which was really tasty and cooked just right and not too thick batter. The chips were nice and golden brown. Hubby had gammon with egg and pineapple. He said it was very tasty. Although it was extremely busy the waitress still had time to pop back and ask if everything was ok. Always have had good meals here and always very reasonable priced. It is always tidy and clean

Best bottomless brunch in town! It’s the only place where you leave feeling like you actually got a nice amount of delicious food to eat with your bottomless booze. The service is stellar, some of the kindest servers in town. There’s a good selection of drinks like espresso martinis and Aperol spritzes along with mimosas and Prosecco. Two hours for £30?! Best value in town!!!

The fish and chips were ok a bit pricey for the size you get but we are fish and chips snobs

Amazing food and service was exceptional. If you are a fan of belly pork this is a must as you won't be disappointed. Also if you are going around the Easter holiday. Try the Easter egg surprise dessert as this was cracking !!!

Food could have been better, lacked taste however it could have been due to what we ordered. Staff were kind and attentive and the atmosphere was really cute and suitable for celebrations and date night. Decent spot to go for food in exeter and good location.

I came here for a funeral but was surprised how nice the place was There were lots of choices for food and a great selection of drinks to choose from, I think I'll be coming back for an evening out, great views over the golf course from the decking/ verandah...
