Food was amazing and fantastic service at the Greyhound today. The staff were brilliant, friendly and very helpful which unfortunately is a rarity these days. Well done.

Lovely pub in a lovely quiet village. We stayed in Bromham recently, just for a long weekend, but ate here 3x during our short visit. A super Roast on a Sunday, great burgers & good old ham egg & chips :p Friendly, efficient service.

A lovely welcome from the lads behind the bar. Service was absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, my partner and I were both full, no room for dessert 😢 We'll be back soon. Thanks guys xx

Best meal of the holiday! A wonderful cosy pub with excellent food. We were on holiday with my partners parents. We're vegan and they're not and they are like traditional food. My partner and I were sick of places that put no effort into a vegan meal but the Greyhound had the most amazing home made vegan pie! Everything else was fabulous too and his parents loved their meal and desserts too. Thank you for an excellent final meal of our holiday.

I discovered this pub through having to deliver something to Tara the wonderful landlady, and what a beautiful soul she is, along with her efficient and friendly team. The roast was quite literally the best I’ve ever had, and the general vibe of the pub/restaurant was spot on, a great atmosphere and a beautiful proper British pub . Can’t recommend enough, some and see Tara, you won’t regret it! Had the best day and met great people. I’ll be travelling the hour and bit journey again in no time :)

Lovely friendly pub with excellent food will be back

A large group of us went to the Greyhound for Sunday lunch today and the service was incredible. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely. We have been here a few times as a large group(15+) and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

One of the many attractions of the delightful village of Bromham is the monument – a magnificent Celtic Cross – to the Irish poet and lyricist Thomas Moore. We take my wife’s Irish relatives to see it when we visit, and they find it hard to get over the fact that one of their nation’s most illustrious sons should be buried in the churchyard here. The village is twinned with Avoca, in county Wicklow (late made famous by the television series ‘Ballykissangel’) But enough of that. We visited the Greyhound for an evening meal on the 27th August and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were warmly welcomed by friendly and courteous staff and soon served with a delicious meal. My wife had fillet of sea bream and I had the pork belly, so tender it almost melted in the mouth. Afterwards the generous cheese board and some Marshfield Farm ice cream. And we enjoyed the wines by the glass – Pinot Grigio and a Merlot. The recorded music was at a pleasantly low volume so no difficulty with conversation. The clientele (all very civilised) were enjoying themselves and it is clearly a popular place with many diners on repeat visits. As we left, we were introduced to the proprietress’s dog, a very well behaved spaniel whose thirteenth birthday it was. Happy birthday doggie! We shall be going again soon

Good place. There's a large village car oark opposite, with wider than usual parking spaces. Inside and outside dining options. We had pre booked lunch on Tuesday, and it was not busy. The staff were excellent, and the food well cooked and presented. Good portions. Toilets clean.

Wonderful lunch for our 11 people today. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff so lovely.....what more can you want. Well done to all the team 🤩

Lovely food very good staff and a beautiful garden

Best pub food and service we’ve had in a long time! We had the veggie burger and pork belly, then syrup sponge and custard for pudding and omg!! We also spotted the pies coming out, and are trying to work out when we can come back to try them!

Yummy Sunday roast. Delicious steamed pudding. Happily gave me extra gravy and custard. Full marks. Lovely big garden, perfect for a sunny afternoon.

Great place for the food. The biggest Yorkshire Pudding I've ever seen! Plates were hot (which helps keep the food hot whilst eating). Very friendly staff.

This was a chance visit & what a find. The food was superb. It is a truly lovely local village pub.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write this but here goes. I would like to comment on Donna's reviews that she has written (all 8) of them. I have eaten at The Greyhound, Bromham many many times and I don't believe a word that she has written. The food and service at The Greyhound is outstanding, always a lovely greet either by Danny or Tara. Donna doesn't seem to have a good word to say about any of her reviews that she has written. Perhaps she should stay in!!!!!

We were upstairs which was quiet and zero atmosphere. The Roast lacked passion it was really disappointing, watery gravy unseasoned potatoes tired vegetables and the meat had a smell to it that was inedible and obviously from the freezer and not cut fresh from a joint . When we politely told them about the meat smell the chef didn’t want to a knowledge it (arrogant and typical ) so rude that we paid £134 for food we had to eat half heartedly and even though the staff was amazing and friendly they knocked off a few drinks but missed the point , needless to say it ruined our experience so we didn’t bother with deserts and although a local we won’t be returning . Disappointed is a understatement

So good we came back the next day for lunch! :) We arrived without booking on a busy Friday evening but the owner happily accommodated us and was willing to shuffle tables around for us with our two dogs. The menu is beautiful and the food was incredible! Staff are all really lovely. It's rare to find a little pub with such a great atmosphere and menu to match! Highly recommend the Belly Pork, Chicken Burger and Sandwiches from the lunch menu 👌

10 of us and a baby went to the Greyhound last night to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very patient as we had 4 children and a toddler with us and it was great to be able to take our time ordering without being rushed. Food was lovely, we had a problem with one meal but it was rectified immediately. Staff are fantastic they make you feel welcome and are very friendly

First time visit for Sunday lunch and we will definitely be going back welcomed by a lovely bar man working behind the bar and then looked after by the rest of the team thank you all

Despite an exceptionally and constantly demanding service due to its popularity, all staff were calm, very welcoming and efficient. Food was excellent even though we were on a late service.( We can only comment on the fixed menu for Mother's day). Only drawback is the car park opposite has small spaces for today's cars and it maybe full on popular days/times.

I came here for Mothers Day, to save me on the cooking and the welcome that Tara and her team gave us, was like walking into a family gathering! The pub was packed with others joining in on the delights of the set menu for Mothers Day, along with the village regulars. The choices of the set menu covered all of our desires/cravings for a 'good ole Sunday Lunch', leaving with our bellies full and happy! I have to mention the 3 members of team, that looked after us from the moment we walked in, ordering drinks, choosing our menu, to clearing and all whilst serving with a smile (in a very busy shift)......they even laughed at my dads terrible jokes! Thanks to Abi, Keeley and Jack - you were 'top notch'!

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. On arrival we were shown to our table. Having placed our order the food arrived promptly and was presented lovely. We had starters and mains all of which were very nice. The service we received was excellent and credit must be given to Jack Mariah and Laura. Thank you and we will be back.

Amazing valentine meal, me and my partner could not have gone to a better place than the greyhound, food was amazing they even made some changes to the meal we order because we are fussy and nothing was to much trouble. Staff super friendly could not rate this place enough

Had another excellent meal at this lovely pub last night. I chose to order from the valentine's day menu and it was the best duck I have ever had. My partner enjoyed his ribs and we were both glad we had enough room left for the sweet and indulgent desserts. Always the best place to go for special occasions for sure and we will definitely be back.

I was in a party of 4 this evening to celebrate a birthday and all of us had nothing but praise for the quality of food and attentive service. We were well looked after. The value for money was spot on and all members of staff were so friendly. They can’t accept tips through card payments so make sure to have some cash on hand as you will most likely agree they deserve a gratuity. Thank you Greyhound - we will be back soon!

We have been quite a few times for Sunday lunch which is always really good. Decided to try them out on a week night for a change, absolutely amazing welcome and food! And the service was great. We will be back!

Christmas meal at the Greyhound was delicious. Well cooked, plenty of meat and veg and well presented. Pudding was lovely. Cannot fault the food, service or atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and the owner is always cheerfull and welcoming. One of my favourite pubs to eat and drink.

The greyhound is hands down the best pub in the area, fantastic home cooked food, lovely atmosphere and the warmest welcome. All the staff are incredibly friendly and professional, what more could you ask for. It's an old school country pub of which are few and far between and we can't wait for our next visit.

We had a lovely meal as an extended family. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The portions are a really good size. We had a range of items off the menu and we were pleased with our choices.

A warm welcome was had from Keeley and Elena who were front of house when we visited. Their attentive and friendly service was superb. The food was well presented and very tasty, and we thought, good value. We visited on a very quiet Tuesday evening which we were informed was unusual so that didn't make for much atmosphere hence the 3 stars, but the cosy environment and pub layout I would expect should make for a better atmosphere on a busier night. Look forward to a revisit.

Slow service. Got our order wrong. One member of our party had explained that she had an allergy to the deadly nightshade family and what that includes, but one of her dishes still came out with tomatoes on! Puddings came out except two of them, and after waiting for 10 minutes, we had to remind them. Burgers were overcooked. They did admit they had made a few mistakes and knocked off the drinks bill. It's just a shame as it spoilt our overall enjoyment of the evening, especially as we were celebrating an engagement.

A lovely country pub which we have been to many times over the years. We always have a lovely meal and drinks here. Excellent Fish & Chips [our friend said ‘the best they ever had], and the Mushroom Pie was excellent, the Sea Bream and Nut Roast with fries portions were a little small and left us too hungry but this didn’t detract too much, just order chips not fries [which come in a tiny tin cup]! The Cheese Board was great and plentiful. Atmosphere is always lovely, food and service is excellent and the setting is beautiful with lovely garden and parking out front. Family get together with a buffet. Wasn't expecting much but the buffet was easily the best I've had in a pub, ever. Lovely village pub in the heart of old Bromham. Well worth a detour if you're nearby.

Expensive and average food. Very noisy. Great looking pub. Not quite sure why so many people rave about the food. Maybe they are used to a Wetherspoons. Won't come again.
