We had the most incredible experience at No 6. The food was out of this world - try the Pie âNâ Chips, so so so much more than the name suggested! We were looked after by Elliott and the team and I was pleasantly surprised how relaxed it was, not remotely pretentious that you might experience elsewhere. They helped us to choose wines but we didnât ever feel upsold. At the end we were invited up into the pastry kitchen and got to see the chefs at work and chat to them, which was incredible. I am an avid watcher of Saturday Kitchen and love watching Paul Ainsworth on that, which is basically the reason we booked. It didnât disappoint and was worth every penny!

Just brilliant. Food was original, amazing, fresh, local. Service was spot-on, perfect, amiable. Modern food, great ambiance, wonderful soundtrack, open kitchen. Michelin guide should definitely come back and properly reward this wonderful place! Gordon Jones and staff, please keep going!

What a hidden gem, this is not the expected Michelin experience, it was so far beyond that!! It had no element of pretentious, it felt like dining with friends, savouring an amazing artistry of food and flavours at their highest. It is a restaurant once experienced you will never forget and you just want more visits! This was my husbands first experience of a tasting menu, he was quantity over quality foodie who has absolutely been converted by his overall experience at Lumiere - hats off to Jon, Helen & Team. If you havenât get discovered this gem and have a special celebration, it is a must, you will not be disappointed!

Tucked into the scenic hills of Exmoor, Restaurant Kensington in Lynton offers a refined yet welcoming dining experience that blends modern British cuisine with genuine hospitality. The dĂŠcor is elegant and contemporary, complementing the natural beauty of its surroundings. The staff are a standout featureâattentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, enhancing the relaxed but polished atmosphere. The open kitchen adds a vibrant touch, showcasing the chefs at work. The menu centers around locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, with a particular focus on Exmoor beef. During my visit, I indulged in a 720g T-bone steakâperfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and impressively tender. Sides like the smoked mash and chargrilled hispi cabbage with chipotle butter were equally memorable. Kensington also boasts a fabulous wine selection, carefully curated to pair beautifully with the menu. The teamâs recommendations were spot-on, elevating the entire meal - A Patagonian Pino Noir was a treat Awarded Tripadvisorâs Best of the Best in 2023, Restaurant Kensington fully lives up to its reputation. For those seeking exceptional food, top-tier service, and a setting that feels both intimate and stylish, itâs a must-visit on the North Devon coast.

We spotted the sign for this on the drive through, so after visiting the castle, walked back to find it. So glad we did. We had the platter to share, not a single thing could be faulted. Service was excellent. We loved the look of the cakes but were just so full, so purchased 2 to take home for later that day. Really sad I forgot to leave a tip, too busy chatting to the staff & looking around so much to see, even a gin distillery. We will be back.

Came here after reading some Google reviews. I was only after 6 bags of chips. Came in early, the guy behind the counter was really nice, chatting away, and really friendly. The chips were amazing and a generous portion too. I would definitely recommend this place đ I parked outside with no issues but it was quite quiet so not sure about that in busier times. The shop is really clean, they run a restaurant next to the takeaway chip shop as well. Really reasonably priced too.

Amazing experience. I host some of these chefs in my house each year and always wanted to try it. Food was incredible and so cheap considering the quality you are getting. Theyâre all learning but service was pretty good. They could do with some music in there and we had a strong draft from the fire escape but apart from that was fantastic experience and will definitely be back
