Tubsys Grill, Fish & Chips in Poole

Can't ever go wrong with this place, food is cooked as u wait ive never eaten in the restaurant always taken out, guys r amazing in there so chatty and u can have a laugh with them

Came here after reading some Google reviews. I was only after 6 bags of chips. Came in early, the guy behind the counter was really nice, chatting away, and really friendly. The chips were amazing and a generous portion too. I would definitely recommend this place 😁 I parked outside with no issues but it was quite quiet so not sure about that in busier times. The shop is really clean, they run a restaurant next to the takeaway chip shop as well. Really reasonably priced too.

Well a hidden gem Tubs looked after my wife & I food cooked fresh ample portion sizes would re visit the restaurant again well done keep up the good work.

Forget Bournemouth head to Poole for the best fish and chips. The fish was very tasty the batter was on point and the chips were tops. Portions were large, I will be visiting again when I am there again.

Ideal location and well worth finding to experience excellent fish and chips. Very friendly and welcoming staff in a very relaxing small diner.

We had fish and chips, all cooked fresh with thin, crispy batter. It was delicious—though it could have done with a bit of resting time to drain off some of the oil. The staff were very friendly, the prices reasonable, and we’ll definitely return next time we’re in Poole.

hot breakfast,nice size portion,cooked how you like it. Friendly staff. very clean, including the loo. Not the cheapest breakfast in Poole,but you get what you pay for. Large tv showing news channel on both of my visits.

Staff pleasant, you can eat in, toilet upstairs, clean & service good. We ate scampi, overcooked, & chips, dry. My daughter burnt her mouth so wondered if a microwave was used. Strange, cheap tasting curry sauce too. I would not recommend the food based on our experience. I could of cooked better at home! Ketchup was free though!

Absolutely delicious moist lamb shish, rice is gorgeous along with their salads. Have had them before but the added extra of green peppers in with their lamb hits the spot. Wish we could buy that rice in a tub it’s so nice. Well done guys will order again soon

Went along with family for a bday bash. Table was booked by family so no wait time. I doubt there's many cafe's that give you such generous portions as Tubsy's. Amazing value for money and good proper, honest grub. Was delicious and the service was friendly and great. Felt I should leave a review for such a great little cafe/diner.

What a gem of a place! Outstanding from the minute me and wife walk in to the time we left, Greeted with big smiles and a friendly hello , we were sat quickly and had a glass of wine within minutes, the younger server was very attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and absolutely huge portions, the prices were more than reasonable and will definitely come back upon our return to Poole! 5 star massive thankyou!

Had lunch today, amazing food, great value, friendly service, liver and onions, full english breakfast, 2 large glasses of Oyster Bay Chardonnay, the lot £31.00, cant be beaten.

What a cracking little Food Heaven. Staff all happy, chirpy & smart and cafe itself very clean. I popped in for a bit of lunch, was gonna order 1 of the many varieties of breakfasts but really was craving chippy food so ordered a cod roe, pineapple fritter, saveloy & chips, plus 2 decaf milky coffee's. Absolutely nothing disappointed and it all tasted & looked amazing, realllllllly chippy style yet not dripping with grease. Will absolutely be going again next time I'm in Poole. Thank you all, keep up the good work.x.

Arrived 5.45 no booking as we had been let down by another restaurant. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the hostess who was an absolute delight attentive and professional. Our food came quickly and was wonderful. There were four of us we had chicken sishe....lamb sishe....chilli con carne jacket potatoe.....chicken burger. Chips were homemade as was the coleslaw rice home cooked and very taste. Great table service prices very reasonable overall excellent.

Gotta say... skeptical at first, but if you want down to earth great quality café style food come here. Best thing the friendliness and service. Can't complain at all about the food but would have loved fresh chilli salsa on my lamb shish.

Called into Tubsy's for lunch time fish and chips - not one of our party had the fish and chips other dishes on the menu are so attractive. Food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly welcoming and efficient. The owner was kind enough to pop out for a chat when we had finished. Could not recommend Tubsy's enough - great experience.

Popped in for late Friday night take away. Beautifully cooked fish and chips, served up by very obliging and friendly owner and staff. Highly recommended. Restaurant immaculate.

It was my first time going in to Tubsy's the other day with grandparents although they have been before. Very friendly staff welcoming us in and taking our order. I opted for the gourmet chicken burger and fries and was actually asked if I wanted all the trimmings which was a nice touch. Normally the onus is on the customer to make such requests. The others had breakfasts as they have on previous visits. The food was delicious so no complaints there. Although I'm personally not a fan of eating out, I'll certainly be back to Tubsy's at some point in the future.

Best chips I've ever had,and the meal was amazing value too

Breakfast was fairy big size with lots of choices on the menu. The sausages are the only thing that wasn't edible for me , mushrooms were nice and cant fault anything else. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Decent prices as you can get something regardless of how much you want to spend. Good breakfast overall.

First time at Tubsy's and it really does deserve the good reviews. Had a delicious lunch with family. This is going to be our regular place for lunch or dinner in Poole. My only question is: Why didn't we come here before D'oh!?

Oh my goodness! At least once or twice a week. More than just a cafe. Always welcomed with a massive smile. When in Poole...

Thought it was just a fish and chip place but it was much much better. Had lots of choice. Food plates massive. Staff were brilliant. First class food and service and really great price Will be going back

I have frequented this establishment on a number of occasions. The food is always hot, plentiful and tasty. The price is very reasonable. All in all, the place to go when one's tummy rumbles!

Love Tubsys. Food always arrives piping hot and delicious. Ordered a mushroom omelette and jacket potato and they were very tasty and worth the price.

Popped in for a late lunch and what a fantastic find. Food was great, huge portions, well cooked and at a good price. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The table and cutlery was clean. We had fish and chips and scampi and chips. It is a shame we were only in Poole whilst on holiday locally so can't go more often. Great place.

Definitely a local gem of a diner! Food, service, atmosphere all excellent. Very warm and friendly staff. I've been a few times in a row already since i discovered Tubsys recently. The gourmet chicken burger is amazing and their chips are home cut, fresh and not oily at all. The choc milkshake is perfect! The food and the restaurant all feels clean and the prices are very good.

We ate there on the off chance. The owner gave us quality chips, fish, mushy peas and he had a good personality. The whole family and my cousin from Canada who was with us enjoyed the whole experience. There was a lady at the other table and we chatted to her. She was a local and regular She reckoned that the food was good there. She was right.

Ate here many times, went for breakfast this morning, always fab service, great food, cooked to order and requests, hot & huge portions. Defo value for money. Great variety of food with parking opposite too, all round 5 stars. Looking fwd to our next visit already. Keep up the good work 👏 Team Tubsy.

Me and my partner went to Poole and walked past this place not knowing anything about it, the men were very kind and welcoming amazing service, great prices and even better food!! Definitely going to be coming back!

Decided to try this this evening as I heard good reviews. They were right. The food was delicious, hot and filling. Good price as well. The last 2 photos was children's meals Very impressive.

I came across this restaurant while looking for fish and chips. An initial call to make sure the dog is allowed in. The welcome is very warm and friendly. And as far as the fish and chips are concerned: simply great and highly recommended. The portions are generous and the fish is very good. I was already full with the medium portion. Here you notice that the friendliness is not an act. This restaurant is a MUST on my next visit to Poole.

Walked by those place while doing some shopping/sight seeing, noticed a few people going in, had a look online for reviews and decided to try it out the following day, best decision. Very welcoming staff, and I presume owner/manager, made sure my request was fulfilled. Prices were standard for eating in, but the portions were decent, and a bonus big bowl of curry sauce or dollop of mushy peas. Kids enjoyed it, adults too, definitely recommend and when back in poole we will come back, the burger looked good on a nearby table.
