Excellent cuisine, fine dining in a chill atmosphere, happily surprised by this place.

Food was excellent, portions on the small side.

We had our anniversary meal last night and we were blown away by the food. We had the scallops, crab ravioli, venison and wild bass. The crab ravioli was sublime. Excellent presentation and maximal taste. Front of staff were friendly and approachable. I ordered some extra sides when the mains arrived and these were swiftly prepared in the kitchen in time for us to enjoy. It was the best meal we have ever had! We will be back again.

Really disappointing... do not go with children. They have no high chair, was put outside when only 2 other tables inside taken. Food took over 1 hour when very quiet. Much better places in Croyde than here..

Had an anniversary meal there with my wife. Food is excellent, the lamb in particular was amazing. I can't complain about the service but my wife tells me that the servers spent too long chatting and not being attentive. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves fine dining

A lovely spot with delicious food for a very reasonable price.

Our breakfast was amazing. My hubby had the full English and I had the yoghurt stacked pancakes. Both are highly recommended. The staff were friendly and efficient. Good atmosphere and lovely decor.

OMG! If Carlsberg did restaurant’s. Live locally to this fine establishment & the wife and I have talked about going for months. Took the wifey for her birthday & the food is absolutely sensational! Some of the best food I’ve tasted in my life. The decor is beautiful & the service 10 out of 10. Big high 5 and well done 👏 New Coast Team.

We were a group of 16, not wanting our Bank Holiday weekend in Croyde to finish. With no prior reservation, we tried our luck at New Coast kitchen for coffee and maybe some brunch. They accommodated us with no issues, only apologising that due to the size of our party, any food we ordered might be a little slow to arrive - this was not the case. The drinks and food arrived without too much wait - the brunch menu is innovative and the food was delicious. The staff were really friendly and efficient and kudos to the chef for knocking out such delicious food! Will visit again next time we're in Croyde :)

Visited whilst on holiday, food was delicious with good vegetarian options. The carrot side dish was our favourite. Great wine list and excellent expresso martini. Service was quick, the waitress was friendly and very attentive.

Walked up without a booking for coffee and a bite to eat for lunch; total party of 20 (10 kids)… the waitress warned us that we might have to wait a while with a large group, and that the food might arrive at slightly different times, but actually it was all perfectly timed after our coffees and very nice as well. Well done East Coast team!

What a find! The most delicious food, simple but perfect (we had the brunch and I really recommend it). As soon as I finished I wished I could eat it again. Service was fantastic and the place feels upmarket while still very relaxed and informal.

Went for brunch with the family. The service was very slow (considering the place was pretty empty). I had the no avo on toast which was disappointing. The no avo wasn’t seasoned properly and the feta portion was very very meagre.

My friend and I had an amazing breakfast here, so tasty with lovely coffee. Our waiter was Will and he was kind, courteous and friendly. Thank you, we'll be back. 😀

Really lovely innovative menu with interesting vegan options but for pretty much all of the items that are labelled as being able to be made vegan this just means taking away most of the dish and still paying the same price. e.g. potatoes with caper mayo and anchovies becomes potatoes, bread with seaweed butter just becomes bread with vegan butter (despite seaweed being vegan)

Just perfect. The best breakfast we’ve ever had. Will was very friendly and added to the wonderful experience at the restaurant. It’s a must if you are visiting Croyde. 😊👌🏼

Had a wonderful evening meal at the New Coast, as well as a few day time wines and cocktails during our time in Croyde. The menu was exceptional. Everything we ate was amazing, with some great recommendations from the team. The service was top notch, will definitely come back again.

We ate here for the dinner before my sister’s wedding. We found worms in 2 of our salads. The male manager was sarcastic (“You’re in the country now”) and we had to argue to get the salads refunded. Following further muttered comments from the manager, we decided to take the service charge off, too. Never come across such a rude manager. If you serve customers salads with worms in them, being apologetic is the right way to handle it. EDIT: Thank you for your reply. To be clear, we understand that mistakes happen, and our issue was less with the "caterpillars" (I defer to your experience) and more with the manager's condescending attitude. The quote we included was accurate (we posted the review before leaving the restaurant) and we're not sure which part of the review you disagree with. The other members of staff were perfectly polite and we had no other issues with the food. We appreciate your good wishes for tomorrow.

Our favourite local restaurant, food is always amazing and service has always been incredible.

Food was well presented and delicious, and service was great. The ambience would have matched the food were it not for the group of 20 people from the golf club swearing and shouting, making it difficult to hear much else. If you want to provide a 'relaxed fine dining experience' then I can't see why you would accept large bookings from sports clubs in such a small setting.

I cannot rave enough about how good this restaurant is. It was so delicious we went twice in a week. The pig cheeks and fig leaf pudding are Michelin standard. Bravo!

Wonderful restaurant in Croyde, Devon! The food was delicious, and the waiting staff provided excellent service. The cozy atmosphere, albeit a little quiet, made for a memorable evening out. A truly lovely dining experience all around. Highly recommended!

Our brunch was fantastic. The food is locally sourced and all freshly prepared and it makes a massive difference. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after, the atmosphere was perfect. We will return without a doubt.

Amazing food and drinks with great service

Everything was fantastic! Myself and my wife had a wonderful time with some great food in really enjoyable setting. The cauliflower Kyiv was great, as were all the vegetables as sides. The staff were brilliant too, making sure to confirm where things were changed to make the plant based for us. All brilliant, will be back here when next in Croyde!

I went for a meal with my husband in April 2024. Really fantastic food and friendly service. It's the second time we have been and I now recommend it to everyone! Not appropriate for young children in the evenings. Price very reasonable for the quality of food.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was not disappointed!! The food was absolutely amazing (some people in our group found it a little too rich but I personally loved it!). It’s a wonderful experience, the staff are excellent - so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great in there with beautiful decor. It’s more expensive than a lot of the other cheap and cheerful places in Devon, but it is definitely worth the price.

We had a fantastic 21st birthday family celebration meal last night. Its a varied and interesting menu, with delicious food. We enjoyed pigs cheek, crab and scallops from starters and beef, hake, cod and cauli kyiv from mains. Great veggie options. All just so good and beautifully presented. The kitchen was really flexible, as I'm allergic to fish and were so accommodating, changing elements of dishes in response. There's a good wine menu and cocktails were lovely. Service from Lily was just outstanding. A really relaxed, friendly comfortable restaurant which looked after us and fed us supremely well.

Me and my partner dined here the other night and we loved every single plate of food we had they were all so tasty and nicely presented! Service was also great and just faultless all round. We can’t wait to visit again on our next holiday.

Had brunch here with my husband. The stuffed roasted mushroom on a crumpet with poached egg, wilted greens and hollandaise was absolutely delicious. My cappuccino was also very good. My husband had the poached egg with salmon and wilted greens on a crumpet and enjoyed his too. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very smart... it felt more like we were in London than North Devon. They are doing a great offer in February... any brunch item (except NCK breakfast ) plus hot drink for £10 plus optional service. Great value. Would like to come back and try dinner.

We went last year, was absolutely fantastic, I plan to go 2025 for my 60th as we live in London. My husbands sister, and friends go quite regularly and love it.

Been a patron of New Coast Kitchen for a few years, now....two recent visits, in the last couple months....what can I say? Always a truly memorable experience...from the lovely ambiance, in the idyllic village of Croyde, to Martin's phenomenal food, great selection of cocktails and wines, but not to be forgotten, the attentiveness, care and professionalism of the entire front team, makes every visit a memorable one! Wonderful lunch. Squid risotto was excellent as was the steamed cod.

Went for a family meal with 19 people of all ages. Service was unbelievable, a credit to service in this day and age, where normal waiters don’t fair. Food was exceptional, highly recommended the cali bhaiji. Will be going back, hopefully get to stay in the lovely town.

Excellent top-end restaurant! Situated in one of the coastal villages, but not hard to get to or remote (by Devon standards) and with a good car park just across the road.

Special meal celebrating with family at NCK last night and it was absolutely fantastic. As a local this is definitely the best restaurant in the area. Everything about this place is first class and cannot recommend it enough to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a perfect evening with family!

Unfortunately, the customer is always wrong; don't expect a reasoned or professional response if there are any issues. Overall, the food is ok, but a little overpriced and a little pretentious. I'd recommend one of the many other pubs for decent food at a fraction of the price and none of the arrogance.

Some of the best fish ever... NCK had been on my radar for a while, probably popped up on a review I read, so was keen to book when we visited the area. We arrived late due to traffic (travelling to Devon on a Fr in the holiday season!!) and had a most accommodating & friendly welcome. Limited menu but all sound appetizing. Opted for the fish and wow, really some of the nicest we have had. Perfectly, cooked, presented, etc. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely incredible meal. We came to Woolacombe for our honeymoon and so glad we ate at New Coast Kitchen. Really friendly staff and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Would highly recommend the cocktails and the oysters. Small menu but everything we had was insanely delicious. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

Very good small plates offering, the beetroot and burrata was a particular highlight. More of this kind of thing in North Devon please!

First visit here, and it won't be our last. We've added New Coast to our top 3 favourite places to eat. Loved the decor, tables well spaced, nice music, great service, very relaxing. Good wine list for all budgets. And cocktails too. Now to the food. Absolutely sublime. Every dish was cooked with skill and imagination, using fresh seasonal ingredients, beautifully presented, generous portions, delicious. Pre booking advised, we saw people without a reservation being turned away. Can't wait to return to try the lunchtime small plates!

Absolutely outstanding, Service was top tier, Victoria was as very professional! The food was insane, super creamy burrata, don’t miss out on the sirloin 🤩 but I must say all of the fish dishes look amazing too! I wish all the best to New Coast and their team on board a true gem for Croyde!

Fantastic food. Some of the best scallops I've had in a long time and the fried oysters were probably better than having them fresh! Few restaurants meet my expectations for great food, but honestly this place exceeded them. Will certainly be back!

Fabulous food. Everything was absolutely delicious. So lovely to actually have interesting veggie and vegan options. Exceptional customer service.

Overall the group I was with had a good experience. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I had to bring my small dog to the restaurant. Being a quality restaurant I understood the No dog policy so rather than cancel and pay the cancellation fee I decided to sit outside with my dog while my party were inside. Our group overall enjoyed the evening but agreed the mains could have been warmer.

Ate here for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal. The service & food was amazing. We eat out quite often & this was our best meal for a long time. A must try!!! & we will be back!!

Excellent food and service . We have dined twice and so impressed after the first occasion that we returned for dinner some days later. A very good choice of wines and the menu offered a range of dishes that ensured our differing tastes we were easily met. Asparagus,scallops,hake and lamb were all served with very imaginative ingredients and so tasty and satisfying. Well done chef. The staff were friendly, cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient We look forward to our third visit!

Amazing food I must say,five star chefs. Flat front of house staff, let the chefs down. You need the staff from blue groove to show you how service is done . Staff make you come back. Amazing chefs but kick your front of house .

Great experience with a group of ten. High quality local food, loved the bass, beef and oysters. Service was excellent, but stupid table shape. Wide ranging wine selection. Good quality toilets. Strong bowls. Slightly pricey. Shame my mate Danny couldn't handle it.

A great lunch outside in the sun, the food was all delicious but the chicken was probably the best cooked chicken we have ever had! Very friendly and helpful staff and good atmosphere. Definitely recommended and looking forward to going back for dinner.
