The best restaurants serving British food in Castle Without Windsor and Maidenhead South East

Went for a drink with a friend on Saturday night and was told by the door man that they were only letting in mixed couples ! Haven’t heard that excuse since the 80s ! Obviously not heard about equality & diversity

La Croisette situated within Daniel's department store. Family run restaurant serving great food all day, whether it's a fulfilling breakfast, scrummy lunch or just a coffee or tea break, call in & have a relaxing meal in a lovely store, you won't be disappointed!

Nice, cozy place for dinner and drinks! The steak and ale pie was amazing! We liked that this place was walking distance to our hotel/guest house and to the shops in town.

I popped in on Mother’s Day and asked the barman for a cup of tea for my mother. The young barman looked nervous and turned to an older chap wearing a cravat. After a short exchange the young barman was told that they couldn’t serve a tea. Looking around the pub it wasn’t busy and other people had a variety of drinks. Not wishing to spoil my mother’s Mothering Sunday we compromised and changed our order. Thinking back on the interaction I thought it best to share this experience. I won’t be going back under any circumstance and will mention it if asked by others. What an unpleasant experience! The older man in the cravat should take some lessons in customer services and the younger man should not consider this good experience for future work.

Vraiment top! Nous logions à l’hôtel et nous nous sommes décidé à aller manger à la brasserie de l’hôtel ! Très bonne surprise. Tout était très bon, un service rapidement. Et c’est copieux !

We sat outside and had a snack lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The cafe is in a quaint cobbled side street near the Castle. We all had sandwiches or paninis. They were well filled but quite expensive. The service was good.

What a gem of a pub! Situated right by entrance to Windsor Great Park. Atmospheric inside. What pubs used to be like! Great beer/wine. Didn’t eat but food looked amazing. Pleasant helpful staff. Manager constantly checking all is good. If in Windsor this pub is a must visit.

Disgusting over priced Christmas sandwich with a tiny amount of turkey and lots of stuffing and cranberry jelly to bulk out the filling! What an absolute rip off at £5.50 each !

Insulting and exploitive pricing and menu restrictions. Kids food (fish and chips) was very low quality. Starters poor, deserts ok.
