We sat outside and had a snack lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The cafe is in a quaint cobbled side street near the Castle. We all had sandwiches or paninis. They were well filled but quite expensive. The service was good.

If you're looking for a charming spot to grab a bite before touring the castle, this little cafe is a must-visit. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Needless to say, we'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Windsor.

Was so looking forward to a cream tea from a highly regarded tea room. What a disappointment. Scone small and warmed in microwave. Poor quality jam, more like jelly, small amount of poor quality cream. Tea cup cheap and nasty. Tables nothing like those in the photos. I feel sorry for the tourists who genuine believe this to be authentic cream tea.

We stopped for tea and coffee at this little tea room which was in a side road, opposite Windsor Castle. It wasn’t as busy here as in the Main Street so felt a little safer considering so many people weren’t wearing masks! Outside was very clean and tables were being wiped after every customer. The drinks were good and reasonably priced and service was efficient.

We stopped here for drinks before going round the castle. It's a great location with views of the castle and the band marching out after the Changing of the Guard. Tables on the cobbled street with nice cheerful umbrellas. Nice drinks at reasonable prices.

We came across this cafe when visiting Windsor Castle. It's a nice location with tables outdoors on the cobbled street. I don't think they have any seating inside. We only had drinks but did see others ordering food, which didn't look great or anything special (the scones looked like they had been bought from a supermarket rather than anything baked on site).

It was a nice lunch spot after a visit to its neighbour, Windsor castle. Staff were friendly and we were able to sit in the sunshine and enjoy iced coffees and paninis. We would recommend the Greek-style lamb wrap and if you chose the fajita panini, I would suggest asking for cheese to be added if possible. To finish, we had mini warm sugar doughnuts which were delightful.

Very disappointed. The scone was microwaved and no different to what you'd get in a supermarket. There was a small amount of clotted cream. It gives a bad impression to tourists. The menu outside advertises a large scone which looks far more appetising and I felt deceived. It's not. Has to be the most disappointing and overpriced cream tea I've had. I really can't recommend it. You can get a better coronation chicken sandwich in a supermarket. To be fair the waitress was prompt and helpful. It's the food that lets it down.

I was looking for somewhere to get a drink and was stopped by one of the staff asking if I wanted tea or coffee. This continued with every passer by in a desperate attempt to attract business. I ordered a cream tea which promised an "extra large" scone with jam and clotted cream and pot of tea or coffee. When the scone arrived it was average size, quite thin and clearly shop bought then warmed up (nothing like the picture on the menu), the teapot gave a small teacup of tea thought I was offered more hot water. I declined as it was starting to rain and there was nowhere to sit inside. The staff seemed more interested in chatting to other staff and family members than attending to customers. At a cost of £7.50 I was expecting more so I complained only to be told " that's the price around here". Only stay here if you want t be ripped off and left disappointed, you can get a drink and snack cheaper at Starbucks.

my wife and I visited the tearoom on 18 August 2020 and whilst we had a very nice coffee and cake I was very disappointed to be told that, although the 'Eat Out to Help Out' notice was displayed, it was not being applied to the bill. Either the scheme is being operated or it is not, and it certainly displays that it takes part and is also noted as taking part on the Windsor visitor website. I realise these are extremely difficult times for businesses, and I should stress that it is not the money that is at issue, but misleading of customers!

This tearoom is situated in a small throughway behind the main street in a line of other similar eateries. The waiter was very nice & efficient. Tables are a little crowded but the atmosphere is pleasant. The scone was nice but the portion of jam & cream was dreadful barely enough for one half of the scone. At £6.95 I think better portions should be had.

Strolling round a sunny Windsor recently we happened upon this quaint little cafe off the Castle area. A cobbled street of small cafes and shops. Worth a look. We had tea and cake(Coffee and Walnut if you are interested) and it was delicious. The staff were very attentive and told us a little of the history of the cafe. Apparently King Charles ll had a tunnel build from Windsor Castle to this cafe so that he could visit Nelly in private! A nice little place to have a cup of tea. Beware though, they don't have bathroom facilities but there is a public loo nearby.

This place looked lovely and quaint. Unfortunately the milkshakes tasted very artificial and were powdery. The 'large' scone as part of the cream tea was small and flat. To top it all off there was no toilet on site - surely a food establishment should provide customer toilets. My daughter had to be walked down the road to a public toilet!

Handy location near the castle, sandwiches, panini, cream teas. We had panini's which were presented with a small quantity of corn tortilla chips and a very plain salad. Perhaps some dressing and peppers would enliven this. But considering location with soft drink circa £19 for two wasn't too bad.

I had a great experience at Nell Gwynn's when I stopped in for a snack. I wasn't really planning on it but this young waitress came up to me and kindly asked if I would like some tea and cake, so I thought, "why not?" I'm so glad I did. The cake was delicious with the perfect balance of lemony sweetness. The tea was wonderful, too. This place is definitely worth visiting if you'd like an afternoon break from walking around Windsor. That's a funny thing with the tea bags, my wife and I have different tastes in tea, so we had two different tea bags and only ONE small pot of hot water between us!! For the price these days, why not two teabags in a pot each, and perhaps we might have stayed longer and had something to eat! BUT the biggest disappointment was after plodding around the castle, we were told the café does not have toilet facilities, and were given directions to the public loos five minutes away!! It certainly would have been nice to wash our hand at least!!! As nice as the staff seemed, I would certainly give this one a miss as there are plenty of cafes around the castle.

Went here after visiting the castle. My family and I had a cappuccino, tea and iced tea. Wanted to get soya milk but got the reply "we only have semi-skimmed". They need to be reminded that it's 2017, and lots of people don't drink dairy milk. Tea was nothing special and rather bland. Same for the Cappuccino, my mum didn't like it. The iced tea was served in a beer glass with a straw that was way to small for the glass. The iced tea itself was probably made from a syrup and not tasty at all. There are so many better cafes in Windsor. Don't go there until they up their game.
