Great visit in ascot on high st , good food great drinks , brilliant DJ night . Highly recommended pub . We loved ascot and we loved visit to Stag !

Great food, great service and a cozy atmosphere! We had a selection of dishes and even went for seconds on the chips(nicely seasoned with smoked paprika) and Mac and cheese! I highly recommend the variety of chicken, the BBQ chicken was to die for!

Worst place for food, ordered 2 starters, wasn’t busy and they took an hour to come out, the longest I’ve ever waited for 2 starters in my life, could see other people getting there food that had come in after us, absolutely appalling service

I went to the stag for dinner a few days ago, the pork belly was succulent, the fries had the perfect crunch and there was a nice selection of beers. The pub is also breathtakingly decorated and the staff were very friendly, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be revisiting again.

Great pub. Great owners and staff. Lovely relaxed outside area. Very dog friendly (free biscuits!). Nice to have a real local in walking distance.

Typical, reasonable pub. Seats were fairly comfortable, staff were nice and there was a beer garden, although it wasn't usable on the day due to the rain.

Having been at the Stag many times over the past few years, it always maintain its pleasant staff, ambience and good food. As pub food goes, this is marvellous and reasonably priced. The rear outdoor beer garden is a brilliant setting on a hot summer day or even on a colder day as they have sheltered area. It is also a dog friendly pub, which I genuinely love. I'm not a shareholder or have any reasons not to be sincere, but this is truly a little hidden gem when you visit Ascot. 10min walk from the station if you follow the road but I can recommend the "scenic" route which is 15min and goes straight through the green towards Ascot races.

Popped in post rugby match. Nice pint. Manager mist welcoming. Family empty when we were there.

Ascot races make the rules up. Were regulars here but only half our family were able to enter as they’d decided over 18s only. But no communication beforehand.

Lively pub with great food and a live band tonight. My brother and I popped in for food mainly and I think we were older than the general crowd who clearly enjoy a great venue but I'm happy to say we enjoyed the atmosphere and I had a lovely Steak and Ale pie which I can highly recommend.

It was ok. Food was quite bland especially the haloumi starter. The salt and pepper squid was just deep fried squid. Nothing particularly bad but nothing great either.

There is limited space inside, especially after a race day and the atmosphere is bouncy, however the music was very loud!

The best pub in Ascot, minute walk from racecourse, cheerful atmosphere and live music after races. It gets busy on the race days, staff are very professional, a must go if you are in Ascot.

Rip off prices, because it was Ascot racing, fair enough make a bob or two, but not that much, will never go there again

Sono capitata allo Stag in occasione delle corse di cavalli e ci siamo fermati sia a pranzo prima delle corse che dopo le corse. Molto consigliato, si trova a pochi passi dall'ippodromo, il personale molto amichevole, il locale pulito e accogliente. Il fish and chips ottimo per qualitá e prezzo. Ci ritorneró sicuramente il prossimo anno.

Visited on busy lunch ,very clean and organised pub .we didnt have a booking but they did find a large table for us .service was very good and helpfull .food arrived after 20 minutes very tasty and very well presented ,definitly pub to recomend .thank you

Our local pub, we come here every weekend without fail!! Wouldn’t go anywhere else, the best pub in the area. Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Atmosphere is great and they always have brilliant live music and DJs.

Would recommend the Stag to absolutely anyone. It’s one of our favourite places to go on the weekend as the staff are always so lovely and friendly and provide amazing service! The live music and DJs always create a great atmosphere for everyone!!

Stopped by after the races for some food and drinks with my family and was absolutely blown away with the service and the quality of the fish and chips. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some spot on grub after a day at the races! Amazing management too by the looks of it as they were rammed and managed to keep everyone happy!

Just had the best night at the stag, absolutely packed and pumping after the races. Didn't wait long to be served, even though the bar was packed, staff super efficient and still smiling. Will definitely visit again.

Had the prawns starter then the pork belly. Really nice and 2 for 1 on the beers throughout the week too 👍

Sehr teuer, haben für 2 Personen mit Burgen und Fish&Chips und 2 Bier knapp 50 Pfund gezahlt. Es war nichts los und ist ziemlich groß, daher entsteht nicht so das typische Pub Flair, aber es war alles soweit ok und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Nice pub. We visited after a walk with the doggo. Staff were happy to let the dog in and even gave her a drink. Would definitely revisit for food, it looked great!

Wow what an atmosphere, great place for after the races. Extremely busy, but did not have to wait long for drinks & hotdogs (yum). DJ was pumping out the tunes and we all had the best time.

We chanced upon this pub and it was a good find. The service was very good and the barman was really good with advice and recommendations for gins. The pub was busy and service was good. We sat out in the patio area. All facilities were good 👍

The food was good, I especially liked the French fries. I had the huge Stag Burger which has deep fried pork on top and a tasty sauce. But it simply doesn't require the beef patty underneath. But the service was really poor. A young man and woman at the bar were both surly and unhelpful. Grumpy answers to questions regarding the menu. Won't be going back.

We had a private event here and the staff were incredible. Amazing staff made sure every detail was taken care of so our group could relax and enjoy ourselves. It's a beautiful venue with delicious food - you cannot go wrong with this location.

First time visiting the Stag Pub. Very friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. Unfortunately, we were unable to try the food. But will definitely go back and next time go to the restaurant area.
