Friendlier staff than at Windsor Castle I have never seen in my life. CONGRATULATIONS to all those behind the gates, who make our visit possible to be unique. So much history and elegance in one place. It is unbelievable what historical thrill, what emotions and how much story there is in every room, in every object, in every painting and it is unimaginable what sensation you can experience here when you hear its story. Stepping into a royal house with so much history can be unique for a lifetime. I was impressed and amazed how wonderful it is here. We thank the royal house for sharing the history of this magnificent place with us. Incredibile place. RECOMMEND !!!

We ordered the burger, chicken pie and the hunters chicken. The burger was ok, the hunters chicken - the chicken was nice the peas that came with the meal were still frozen. The pie crust was raw. We did tell the staff about the frozen peas and he tried to say that it was a cold salad. Cold yes - not frozen. We were offered dessert but I didn’t really want to eat anything else coming from the kitchen. For a £20 chicken pie cook the crust. Send out quality food to your customers!

Stopped in for tea and scones. Barman reported he would take our order from our table. Waited a while for someone to take our order so ended up going back to the bar and ordering. Then two seperate groups of ladies arrived and they were all talking so loud we could not hear ourselves. It was like being in a chook shed. Wasn’t great so we left quickly after our tea and scones. Food and drink was great though.

Weird experience last Sunday at lunch with a group of friends, my wife and two little children including my son. Although I had mentioned in my initial reservation days in advance that we would have needed two high chairs, the table initially reserved for us did not have high chairs and as soon as we asked for them we’ve been invited to move to the patio, well heated but with an ambience not comparable with the main dining room inside the pub. Reading other reviews it looks like other guests with children had a similar experience. Regardless of the little display of kid friendliness, we’ve been generally met with a fairly unwelcoming attitude with the exception of the youngest waitress, who was quite kind and at least occasionally smiling. Most of us were born in Italy but most of us lived 10 years or more in this country and have never experienced such a cold reception in a restaurant. The food was mostly good but not exceptional, definitely not good enough to overcome the bitter aftertaste of such an unpleasant reception.

I was not allowed to park in the car park despite the sign saying public parking. A barman came out to tell me that I couldn’t park there as the pub was hosting a private function. However, other cars were allowed to park. Later, when walking past the pub, another man who was sitting with the barman, scowled at my child, making it very clear that we would not be welcome. The only differnce between our party and those in the pub was race. I can only conclude that this pub is unwelcoming to non-whites.

We normally meet up after having taken the dog for the walk, so haven't made it past the conservatory part of the pub, which is dog friendly other than needing to use the bathroom. The beer is kept well. Quieter pub at the top of the long walk, has a little bit of onsite parking which is reasonably priced and free for patrons after 18.00. The food choice is pizzas and pub food, not a massive menu but does what we need it to do. The pizzas are good. If you were looking for gastro pub dining this might not be the pub for you.

As I was ever so lucky to visit Windsor Castle in the UK 🇬🇧 during business trip. I was ever so amazed by old culture and beauty. However I was annoyed by how much money you pay to be limited to very few rooms you get to see. And the fact they don’t allow you to take pictures. It is the main part of going for photography, history & something to share and show Bach home of you for surreal memories. I got in trouble for taking pictures because they don’t have signs that are visible to notice. 😔

Disappointed in the quality of the food. Onion rings tasted like they where brought from Iceland. The ketchup and Mayo is the cheapest of the cheapest brands. The calamari was absolutely disappointing… it tasted like Iceland food again. I got a steak and the peppercorn sauce tasted so salty it’s uneatable. Steak was just meat, didn’t have any flavour. The mood was rubbish. I came at 3:00pm and there’s nothing in the background no background music even though there’s tellies etc. Can hear everyone’s conversation next to you, got kids screaming and throwing food not a nice atmosphere to eat in. The couch we was sitting on was filthy. There is a cobweb right next to my table. Asked for a drinks menu and got told ‘there isn’t one’ ….? What? The seating in the garden house is absolutely not for eating… it’s too low and uncomfortable. Very disappointed. Waste of £75 There are many restaurants around Windsor and I had thought this would be good. But No. Don’t bother coming here better off going Nando’s or Pizza Hut. At least you went have cobwebs right next to your table and nasty cheap runny mayo.

After a short wait we were shown to our table. The wine list has been very well thought out and we ordered 2 bottles of Mas La Plana red to accompany our meal. All our party ordered the beef Sunday roast and could not fault the taste of the succulent beef, crisp roast potatoes, delicious vegetables and as good as mum ever made Yorkshire puddings. I would strongly recommend this establishment to anybody looking for a truly beautiful traditional English pub. The manager was very hands on and very knowledgeable of his pub and menus. After an evening spent at Windsor races, we popped into The Windsor Castle pub for a couple of pints before our return journey home. The beers ordered , Cambden Hells and Amstel, were both flat and tasteless, not cheap at a combined price of £11.90, and served up someway short of an imperial pint measure. To add insult to injury, the card machine prompted the question "would you like to leave a gratuity"!! Neither my friend nor I could finish the insipid beers, and will not be returning.

Ordered the halluomi bap, onion rings, and a rib eye steak, with a couple pints of ale. Halluomi bap was amazing. Very flavourful and more-ish. Onion rings were delicious. Nice crunchy exterior. Ordered the steak medium rare, unfortunately it was barely pink inside due to being somewhat overcooked, however, it was tender and juicy and I couldn't even complain about it. The peppercorn sauce was nicely done, not too peppery. And the chunky chips were perfect! The side salad was overdressed but I'm fussy when it comes to that. Drinks were as you'd expect, and went down a treat! Friendly staff served us whilst there. Plenty of smiles. And the atmosphere was rather relaxed and laid back. The Kings Arms host our team drinks and did an awesome job looking after us. Thanks to the team.

We have visited The George many times previously before the change to a Steakhouse and have always had fabulous food and excellent service, however the change to a Steakhouse has taken the experience to an even greater level, I had a fillet steak, my goodness it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, then indulged in the churros as my desert my oh my, yummy. The whole team who looked after us could not have been more attentive or happier, it really was a fantastic evening and I really can't wait to return. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Wanted to try it after a decades long break. The ‘Village’ lunch menu was chosen and the service was excellent. Would like to see and try a few different mains. The ‘by the glass’ wine choice was limited and thought to be expensive.

I was at the Stag for lunch after the annual Christmas Market at the racecourse, I was with friends. We didn't book in advance, the pub was really busy, but a king lady managed to find us a table. It's a beautiful pub, christmas decorations were delightful and had great atmosphere, the food was amazing, I strongly recommend the pulled mushrooms chilli and one of my friends said that her soft shell crab burger was unbelievable. We will definitely be back and book in advance.
