The Windsor Lad Harvester in Windsor and Maidenhead

Visited the Windsor lad with my family the other day, and I was served by I think her name is Desha. She was polite and friendly and a great asset to the team.

Came here for a family members birthday friendly staff Paul was great with the kids, great atmosphere was really busy but was still seen to swiftly great food. I tried the new sausage medley which was really good and my husband had the new pork skewer and was highly rated to. Fresh salad bar and banging desserts can’t beat it really recommend.

Whilst an EV charger is on site, if you try and use this outside of the pub opening hours, you will likely receive a £100 fine as you can’t go inside to register your number plate. We tried to use the charger, which wasn’t working, then left to find a working charger and received a fine for the privilege.

Food was okay. Service not that great. The lady didnt let me use my blue light discount as i had QR code on my app. I needed my card. Bit pointless to have app if you cant use it without card or cardholder present. Whole point we went harvester was to use the discount. Possibly wont be going again due to this reason as I will need to carry my wife with me to get any discount.

Claire was a wonderful host. Really welcoming and engaging with our whole family.

Being disabled the salad cart was up then down flight of stairs waited a while for food luck warm cold gravy.

Salad bar was the best that I have ever seen, usually at other harvesters it's all bulky and you can't fit it into your bowl where as it was cut lovely and the food was cooked to perfection aswell! Claire was our waitress and she was amazing even though it was super busy she took the time to check in and catch up with us through out our visit. When we come back to windsor we will definitely be back again!

Harvester has changed! - Well sort of. It's the same but kind of better now. Not that it was bad before but it's just a nicer place these days. I thought the food was great, all bases covered and Clare our waitress was faultlessly helpful. My only gripe was a smaller portion of gravy than anyone who loves gravy would want but when I enquired about getting some more, Clare came back with 2 extra pots so more than made up for it. Cheers

The restaurant is always brilliant, and the staff are always thoroughly kind, professional, and always. We came for a birthday meal with a large group, and the quality of good and service was most excellent. Josh in particular is always very friendly and helpful, and he always goes over and above to ensure that the customers enjoy their visit.

Came in a few days and got welcomed and served by Chloe she was absolutely fantastic Food was amazing too

Had a lovely time at the harvester the other day the atmosphere was very nice and the food was delicious. Would like to give a special shout-out to my server Chloe as she was always very nice and dealt with any challenges and changed we needed.

Firstly I really appreciate that the manager refunded my meal and that the waitress was trying to be helpful. However, feel that only 3 stars is warranted due to: * Our kids' meals came out at least 20 minutes, if not more, before mine and my husband. So we were all over the place. * 2 of the items on the menu that we ordered were subsequently not available! * The salad bar was vitually empty and had not been replenished. We went about 1.30pm on a Sunday. * When my meal finally came out, the halloumi was still cold, and the peppers raw. The waitress did offer to return it to the kitchen, but our son was already finishing his meal and wanting his pudding. Disappointing and we won't be back. However, it may just have been a bad day. They were definitely not overun as lots of empty tables.

We have been coming here for over a year now and it never disappoints, always 10/10service, food cooked perfectly x

A busy, friendly restaurant. Plenty of food choices. We were very well looked after by Clare who was very friendly and helpful.

Visited the Windsor lad ( harvester ) yesterday to have a meal with my son , I’ve not been there for a few years and thought I’d revisit as the food was always nice there . I have to be honest I was a little bit disappointed with my choice , I chose the rack of ribs which used to come absolutely dripping in tasty bbq sauce and a healthy portion of chips . This is where the disappointment took place as my meal was presented to me don’t get me wrong it was cooked nice but no more than a tiny squirt of bbq sauce on the ribs , a cup size portion of chips (literally in a metal cup) and an egg cup size portion of coleslaw you can get off the salad cart and all for the price of £21 , I know the price of food has gone up but for what I got that was a healthy profit made just from my meal alone and we waited about an hour for it to come out to us . I didn’t say anything yesterday because it was the first time I had seen my son in 2 years and I’d driven for 2 hrs to get there in the first place so didn’t want to ruin his day , But Windsor lad you have let your standards slide dramatically and you’ve definitely got tight on your portion to £ slide off the scale . I personally would think about going elsewhere in the future.

I order the Original Combo which consisted of an over cooked tiny piece of chicken and a small rack of ribs which basically bones in a sweet sauce. Considering the meal cost £18.99. I was very disappointed. It wasn’t worth a tenner. Never again.

Came on a busy Saturday night managed to book via the app, arrived and a small hiccup with the booking (on my behalf) the front of house team did a bit of jiggling around and seated in no time at all, we were assigned claire as our waitress, and wow what a gem you have there, she was friendly and approachable, and when ever the wife said to me do you think they would have something claire was there with it. The food served was cooked perfectly and the best food I've ever had at a harvester.

Another great visit to The Windsor Lad. New menu is really lovely. The corn bread is moreish and the beef tacos were really tasty. Really quite busy but Josh looked after us really well. Will return to taste more of the what the new menu has in store!

Claire the server was amazing. She went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely time. Even picked up on my son's birthday and brought him a candle cake and song without asking. Great place with lovely atmosphere and cannot recommend it enough.

I recently dined at the Windsor Lad, and was impressed by the outstanding service from Claire, our waitress. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us warmly and made sure we felt welcome. Claire was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering great menu suggestions and ensuring our needs were met without being intrusive. She maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth throughout the evening, even as the restaurant got busier. Her attentiveness and genuine care for our experience made our meal even more enjoyable, and I highly recommend requesting Claire for exceptional service.

Looks like the windsor Lad has just had a refurbishment with a fresh new look, was quiet, and was sat straight away in the downstairs section after entering car reg details at the front desk. I found the food was mediocre, on the mixed grill the spitroast chicken was very dry, egg was snotty on top, and Meal was cold, possibly sat on the pass to long, server was friendly.

Booked a last minute table for myself, partner and kids. Chloe our server was amazing from the get go. Very tentative to our needs and accommodated our requests without any bother. Was very impressed that she didn’t let the kitchen send hot plates out to our kids so that they didn’t burn themselves. Spoke to the incredibly friendly manager who had overheard me telling my partner that the apple and blackcurrant had run out and he came over to ask which cordial had run out. Asked that our thanks be passed on to Chloe and he said that he would at the end of the shift. Only knocking a star off as the toilet tap was missing the presser and the toilet cubicle was incredibly tight to move around when taking one of our children to the toilet (was informed by someone that we could ask for the baby/disabled toilet to be opened) Food was fantastic. Can highly recommend the Bird, Surf and Turf, along with the rocky horror waffle! Will make sure to return next time we fancy a harvester.

We ate at windsor Harvester and had a great time we were sat near the window where we had a nice view the food was amazing and our waitress Claire was really friendly and welcoming definitely will come back.

Ok so we went here for a 80th birthday really impressed with the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere..food was very good there was 18 of us and we all had lovely meals the staff were fantastic.. Have to say iv been to a few harvesters and iv always came out dissapointed..but this was lovely

Served by a very efficient young lady called Ally who couldn't of been more helpful. Very enjoyable lunch.

The biggest downpoint is the tight carpark with security cameras that don't work. Friends car got scratched by a car still at the scene but footage was unavailable. Food was OK, service was good.

Food was lovely but mains came out before starters, and the waiter was clueless to what was going on! But the restaurant was fresh and homely and the food was tasty just a shame the staff let it down! Must of had new staff in I’m guessing because of summer time, and the male toilets had issues with a bucket underneath urinal which was not to be expected from a harvester all in all average experience won’t be coming back soon

Stopped for tea whilst staying at legoland lodges and not wanting to spend loads on essentially cafe level meal at own restaurant. Like harvester and none around where I live so usually end up visiting one when away especially with my kids. Was quick and easy to find and book in. Food simple but nice (bit gutted had to change from rib combo to burger as no chicken left) and good mix of salad bar. Kids enjoyed their meals but found brownie bit too heavy and like too much marshmallow in mouth. Our server was lovely and had just right amount of check up. One of the more quirkier layouts with it having it over 3 levels (bar, salad/kitchen, tables); we were sat on the same level as the kitchen which made it quite warm, very busy so noisy but not too much so was nice to chill. All staff we interacted with were lovely and thank you for saving me a small fortune (got more here for half price would have paid at hotel)

Josh was our waiter..... and he was so good with our food and my 2 young boys. My son was hugging him by the end of our meal. Thank you very much. We will be back soon

The restaurant was busy but the staff were very efficient and tables were being cleared quickly. Our server, Claire, was very friendly and proactive. The cost of food has increased which is totally understandable, however the decision to now serve food on large square platters rather than plates makes many of the meals look very small and thus not good value for money.

Excellent service from Josh today. We have been served by him several times and never had a bad experience! Food came out in a timely manner.

We’ve been coming to Windsor Lad Harvester for years now, and every time, we’re fortunate enough to be served by Paul. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience. Paul is not only incredibly friendly but also makes us feel genuinely welcome each time we visit. His warm demeanour and excellent service are a big part of why we keep coming back. Well done to Paul and the entire team for making each visit so enjoyable! Highly recommend!
