Insulting and exploitive pricing and menu restrictions. Kids food (fish and chips) was very low quality. Starters poor, deserts ok.

The breakfast was not buffet style, you had a choice and was brought to the table. Cooked breakfast seemed to be cheap quality, not what we would have expected for such an expensive stay. Main menu for restaurant was very limited, so we went elsewhere for dinner. Disappointed to say the least.

We've only visited Bricks twice, but both days they've provided a great and tasty breakfast to start our day when visiting Legoland. Both times were busy, so reserve a table. On both occasions our waitress was great, and so surprised when we tipped them. If your waitress takes care of you, don't forget to look after them.

Unique in its inability to cater adequately for its customers who pay a hefty bill to stay at this hotel. No side plates offered to use when eating croissants , no glasses for Juice, given about 7 rashers of bacon and floppy white toast. Poorly trained but pleasant staff. No jam just Nutella All food kind of thrown in centre of table for us to sort Offered 3 baskets of croissants and pain au choc - chaotic

The Bricks restaurant lets the hotel down. Unfortunately there only seemed to be young, inexperienced waiters. We walked out after 30 minutes, tried to get the waiters attention but he was tied up with a large family who kept complaining about the beer, wine ect. There wasn’t any chance of him taking our order anytime soon. With two young, extremely hungry children in our family we left. We complained to reception, apparently there had been a few complaints about the restaurant that night. Disappointed as we had confirmed several times we was going to attend our reservation. Breakfast was better. Really tasty full English, had to ask the waiter a couple of times for the drinks we had ordered. To add, the tables around us were full of dirty plates, floor was covered in food from the moment we sat down to when we left. If we were to stay again, I wouldn’t plan on eating in the restaurant again.

Please note this isn’t the main listing for this restaurant. It is under ‘Legoland Bricks Family Restaurant’.Also - we were informed this restaurant is now under new management. We had a fantastic meal. Could have been dishes from the masterchef finalé. Was awesome. Staff were incredibly friendly, efficient and happy.

One star review. I am so disappointed, and more so because I didn't read the reviews beforehand. My excuse is that I knew the pub from some years ago. It's a lovely old pub and use to have a complementarity atmosphere to go with it. Not now!!! It's tired dust, dirty floors in bar (and it's not been raining) I won't be showering as I don't want to put my feel on the shower cubicle floor. I have my dog with me and having paid £20 for him, I expect, at the very least, a treat when we booked in. A bed and water bowl maybe, But, at The Olde Bell...nothing! I should have gone back to the Travelodge! I have a bad cold. Am tired from travelling and I was looking forward to treating myself to a lovely dinner. I couldn’t book into the dining room as I have me dog with me and the info in my room says dogs are not allowed to be left left alone in room so I went to the bar. It was empty dry and unloved. Staff lacking, but eventually someone arrived. A smile with the mouth does not equate to a genuine smile. I am a celiac and ordered lamb shank, grain mustard, mash potato, honeyed carrots, savoy cabbage and gravy, Yum yum. and it was gf free. I waited with a glass of red wine on anticipation of my plate of food, lamb shank is a particular favourite of mine. It arrived in 5mins...whoops should have realised!! What arrived was a shock. Reheated slimy lambshank. Wallpaper paste mascarading as mash potato with hard dried lumps, honey carrots so over cooked they dissolved and the savoy cabbage drowned in thin tasteless gravy that I couldn't disguish what I was eating. I tried to eat it as I was so hungry, but couldn't. I sent it back. What come back was the same plate with an extra carrot piece slightly firmer than the rest and a new display if wallpaper paste, I gave up. Ugh. I haven't had a plate, or two of such bad quality for years...even boarding school was better. Of course I said I wasn't going to pay. Ordered a glass of red wine and a packet of crisps and went back to my room to eat my supper. Best Western, shame on you. Where are your standards ???

We ate at The Rising Sun on both Saturday night and Sunday lunch time. Due to the size of our group we had to pre-order our meals for both days. The food was excellent. It was nice and hot, a generous portion size and very tasty. The service was excellent. On both days the chef came out to ask us if everything was ok. It was a nice touch that he took the time to do this. We all had a lovely time and will definitely be returning. Thank you for accommodating us all such short notice. 👏🏻.
