If you're ever wandering the whimsical wonderland of Legoland and your stomach growls, you might be tempted by the Hungry Troll. A fair warning: the troll is hungry because it’s not eating the food it serves. Let’s start on a high note. The service was surprisingly solid. Quick, friendly, and attentive. The staff checked in often, probably out of concern that we might perish mid-meal or try to escape. Either way, five stars for effort and hospitality. Now, the food. I ordered the classic fish and chips, a dish that should be hard to mess up. I was wrong. The fish was roughly 80% batter, 15% regret, and 5% actual fish. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to bite into a deep-fried air pocket with a hint of cod, this is your chance. The chips, meanwhile, were cooked to the point of emotional trauma. Dry, tough, and more charcoal than potato. And then there was the curry sauce. An unholy concoction that tasted like it had a grudge against my taste buds. Imagine someone describing curry to a robot, and then that robot tried to recreate it using only despair and yellow dye. Overall, while the staff deserved a better menu to work with, the food itself felt like a practical joke. If the troll is hungry, it’s because it’s skipping its own cooking and I don’t blame it.

The Hungry Troll disappoints with its mediocre food and inflated prices. The options are limited and the quality leaves much to be desired, with small portions and bland flavors. The atmosphere is noisy and chaotic, with long lines and little space to sit. Staff seem overwhelmed and disorganized, resulting in slow and inattentive service. Overall, The Hungry Troll is a disappointing dining experience that fails to live up to the expectations of a family theme park.

“Fish” is mainly batter. The fish that is provided has seen better days although I have had worse. The carbonated drinks are coloured water, although they did rectify this when asked.

The food there was ok, it looked like the picture. The service was friendly and we only waited 5 minutes for our food. The bad thing was that there was chewing gum stuck under the tables. A few tables weren't wiped

It was the photo of the fish and chips that caught our eye - it looked large, crispy, golden and tantalising. For a theme park restaurant, £13.95 for a large fish and chips is not bad at all! The portion was HUGE and freshly cooked. The fish tasted amazing - crispy batter, tender fish; the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Service was quick, efficient and friendly; tables were cleaned regularly. Drinks were free-flow once you were purchase a cup. We really enjoyed our lunch here and would definitely return the next time we visit!

Visited Legoland yesterday and it was good timing. Not too busy. There weren't many options to eat. Just Burger, chips, hot dogs and buffet pizza pasta place. Fish and chips always appeal but this place was too expensive for the portions on offer. £20 for one portion, a drink and a curry sauce. The fish was too small and the batter too thick and too much. Chips were good. Fish and chips on their own £14! On a side note, Legoland, some halal options would have been good instead of all plant based/vegan ones.

Fish was missing fish. Just empty batter and swimming in oil. Worst fish and chips in years.

I had some fish and chips….but there was no fish…was a thing wrapped and boiled in oil…no fish this time for me

The worst fish and chips I ever had in my life.

Food is awful, it was so over cooked and tasteless. Extremely over priced and didn’t even come With a drink. The only sauce option was tomato sauce, you have to use a pump and the pump had dried up tomato sauce all over it I wouldn’t recommend eating here or any other food places in Legoland! Take your own food, it will save you so much money and save you any disappointment. Our dinners went in the bin.

Standard fare for an in theme park food place. Food taste isn't bad but kids sausage and chips is 10p less than an adults jumbo. As per with most places in the park there is very little to no option for people who cannot eat gluten.

I was feeling hungry while at the park and decided to go here for lunch , i ended up useing my gold pass to get 20% off . Two large cod , chips and curry for £22.5 . Not bad at all , tasted really good , was expecting to pay upwards of £30 due to location . Well chuffed coming here . Very nice . 👍🏽

Menu said that there was gluten free batter available, but after a lengthy wait in the queue, found that there was none available. Also there were not enough chairs, as couple of empty restaurant tables with no chairs.

The kids vegetarian option includes three vegan fish fingers and chips. Basically a ton of chips and a minuscule amount of fish fingers. The place is completely overcrowded, not in good shape, dirty and the service slow and negligent. As with the entire park, bring your own food! Don’t bother eating here.

The fish and chips were delicious. It was really busy. We couldn't get seats, otherwise everything was fine.

Unfortunately a lot of the items weren't available for ordering and unbeknownst to me my order was changed from a single item to a meal deal. I only noticed when my meal arrived with chips. I thought I had ordered item only.

Avoid unless you want to remortgage and enjoy not being able to sit down and eat your food. Legoland you need to do better.

The food is terrible ! Don’t waste your money. You will be served dry chips with overcooked sausages and gravy that is lumpy and like jelly. The curry was something from a child’s nappy. Worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time.

Refurbished and improved food significantly better and service much more efficient. Very nice fish and chips curry sauce was lovely.

Worst, most stupid restaurant in the world ever. Queue out the door and 2 useless staff going as slowly as possible to serve no-one. Insane.

When I went in here the smell was lovely and everything else smell like a real fish and chips as soon as I got up to the counter and ordered my fish and chips the fish was lovely got nothing wrong with a fish but the chips and they have a hand or absolutely disgusting the burn the hard a lot of people complaining we should have gone somewhere else to eat if I'm honest will do that next time no definitely not will not be coming here again and that's it

We went in for tea whilst staying at legoland. The bill of £29 for 3 kids meals and 1 adults meal is crazy. Chips were so dry you had to take advantage of the free refills on drink. Waited for battered sausages which were still really pink inside and cold to touch. Wouldnt visit again for food.

Has this closed down? Visited Saturday and Sunday in June, was closed both days all day. It might have closed down, the staff I spoke to weren't sure.

Great kids meals and good sized portions. Food was good too so everyone was happy. Bit tricky finding a table as it was a bit nippy outside so everyone wanted to stay indoors.

Went there for family lunch, kids love fish so thought great place to eat. Unfortunately it was terrible... tasteless greasy piece of something... £32 went to the bin shame that we didn't go to pizza place, food looked lovely there...

£12 for a small skinny cod, hardly any fish, with chips and refill drink which you’ll hardly refill. Not enough seating, not enough ketchup. Also Scampi watery/undercooked.

A lovely change to the normal burgers and pizza you find in Merlin Theme Parks. Try and get there while the show is on and you normally get a seat . Straight after the show is very busy.
