A friendly town pub that is dog friendly. Only one real ale was available when I visited which was Wadworth 6X and was well kept.

Very kindly provided us with a cup of tea despite the fact that they were looking to close up at lunchtime. This is a small but very nice quiet place to relax and browse.

A great little find that everyone kept recommending to me. So one sunny morning a friend and 3 year old twins decided to visit Trindledown and Goodies. We visited all the animals and after feeding some we headed to the cafe for cake and ice cream and a drink. We were greeted by a huge menu and smiling faces. Even better is the huge playroom to keep small people occupied. You really have thought of it all and I’ll be back soon. All the food is made fresh on site just like their cafe in Lambourn and I can’t recommend it enough.

What a gem! We don't know the area well but it was a good halfway point to meet, and we'll definitely be back. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the stars of the show were the two ladies behind the bar. They were really friendly and kind, even when rushed off their feet on the hottest day of the year so far. Thank you.

Terrible service completely charmless and rude! Food is satisfactory for a stay in hospital but costs as much as a real restaurant not a basic pub with a tent. Basically “The Old Boot” is for old men with older boots and no money to go anywhere nicer! 😉

Booked table of 4 on their steak deal at £55 for two which included starters and deserts off the main menu. Had prawn cocktail, soup, and ribs and were all excellent. Rump steak cooked to your taste served with veg and dauphinase potatoes plus chips. We all had deserts which were home cooked and excellent. Bottle of white wine was £25, Guinness £6 a pint so not bad prices. Portion sizes were excellent and service really good. Pub has nice welcoming feel to it. Would recommend. We were surprised that the pub wasn't busier on a Saturday night with such a good offer on. I wish them every success as they deserve to do well. I would say they must have a good chef.

Lovely tea rooms by the canal. Sandwiches, panini, cakes, icecream all delicious. It's tiny but has upstairs space too. Outside tables and chairs in the garden area very popular with families and dog walkers. Overall very nice. The toilet seat and the bin in the one communal loo look like a health hazard and need replacing however.

Only went for a meal but no food available and over charge people for drinks, a bean guy out back dealing drugs to a blonde scared fella, seen by staff then they're allowed to book a table for football tonight so looks like going to be an eventful night enjoy all that wana risk a raid during covid

Very good service throughout. Whilst we waited a while the knowledge of an order needing to be gluten free was the best I've experienced in ages. The chips were cooked in a fryer used for onion rings so the chef kindly oven cooked them for me. The food was piping hot and for one person working in the kitchen on their own sent out brilliantly. We look forward to breakfast.

Great value on a Friday evening, £15 for fish & chips + a pint. The food was perfectly cooked and well presented. Because we were a largish party (9 peeps) we were put in the dining room which lacked atmosphere as we were the only ones in there. There were some big tables in the main pub but they wouldn’t have seated all of us. The bar is we coming and the pub setting is great, surrounded by lovely countryside.

Second visit in 10 days and again food and service was brilliant...we will be lunching here after a canal trip end of April...as there will be 30 of us we checked with co-owner Fiona on a couple of details....thoroughly recommend the Tutti Pole and we had driven up from the New Forest. NB they are closed Mon+Tues

I felt I must write to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at The Tutti Pole recently. Two friends joined me, where they opted for toasted sandwiches - delicious I'm sure, but I'd spent a few hours in the garden, and had worked up a huge appetite. As such, a full English breakfast was required to fully satisfy my hunger (and it certainly did) Everything was beautifully presented, and most importantly, my fried eggs were cooked to perfection ! Ice creams were enjoyed for dessert, ending a wonderful lunch. I hear this family run business has been serving customers for 43 years. My goodness, 43 years - now that's impressive, but in a way it's hardly surprising, because when you have a lovely team of friendly staff who greet you with a warm welcome, plus offer a tempting assortment of scrumptious food, then you can expect that business to flourish, and have a long and healthy future. Good old fashioned service, combined with a pleasurable eating experience are the hallmarks of the Tutti Pole (more than 4 decades in business confirms this)
