The best restaurants serving British food in Test Valley South East

We had an absolutely delicious brunch here today. We were served by lovely, cheerful waitresses, both who happened to be called Holly! Thank you very much.

We had afternoon tea here and was very impressed, absolutely delicious food and wonderful and attentive staff. Instructions for parking would be a good idea on the website as was not clear. We will be returning and telling others about this place and to visit them.

Went in for drinks it's a good honest pub If you like how pubs used to be run (not many left) this place is a must-go I love the relaxed way of this pub in the heart of Romsey. Friendly landlady and landlord they have a great seating area out the front and back where you can watch the world go by a lot of pubs just don't have this feel anymore.

Met up with friends for lunch. We all chose fish dishes from the extensive Specials Board. They were beautifully presented and so very tasty. One of the best meals out we have had recently. The deserts were also delicious. The service was good and all in all we were more than happy. Outstanding food at sensible prices.

Teenagers was playing football in the middle of town I nearly got hit by the ball they was also hitting spoons windows nearly breaking the window I told spoons staff and they did absolutely nothing to help the situation I felt uncomfortable and unhappy with how they handled the situation Charlie Thomas(manger) called the police on someone that was on pub watch and being abusive towards me and other woman but failed to mention the racism and anti-social behaviour of the other people overall im appalled By the managers ability to sort out situations in his establishment

Do NOT eat here unless you are ok with waiting over an hour for your food.... I asked for a refund and left, starving, after 1 hour and 5 minutes waiting. They refunded with no apology.

Fabulous village pub …lovely friendly staff and just amazing food…. Sunday lunch was a real treat , and we try to go to all the fine dining evenings… Kerry is a ray of sunshine and looks after us so well. A great mix of pub, village gatherings and fabulous food.

My friend & I & my Springer spaniel went & ate dinner in this gem of a pub. There is a good selection of ales,lagers & ciders, The food was sensational I had garlic mushrooms to start, followed by the Luxury Fish Pie which was just that & more finishing off with Toffee Apple Crumble. My friend had Mozerella sticks followed by Cumberland sausage & mash & the same pudding. There was even a sausage for the dog. Massive compliments to the chef he definitively needs to be held on to. I have to say the barmaid/waitress is a real asset to you too she was friendly & nothing was too much trouble. My friend & I thoroughly enjoyed our time tonight & will definately be returning. Thanks for a lovely meal & a warm welcome. 100% dog friendly

Disappointing. Two courses offer was starter and main, or main and dessert, not any two courses as stated on the menu. Aubergine dish very solid. Portions stodgy and large

Excellent service, friendly and efficient staff. We enjoyed a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch. The carvery was very good, all hot and well cooked and good value. A well managed pub and restaurant.

First time visit to the Indian Incense restaurant only a mile away. Very friendly truly authentic cuisine, a different taste experience with nice ambience

Slow in receiving food, problem in kitchen.

Amazing place, friendly and gave us time to enjoy our Christmas Dinner .. we had 2 disabled and the staff and bosses were very kind and very helpful... Will be going back as food was fantastic and very friendly to us..
