Our afternoon in the Tudor suite was a delight. Attentive staff with numerous canapés and copious drinks. Delicious food and lovely period furnishings. recommende.

Absolutely fantastic lunch!! My husband is a vegan and had a gorgeous full Sunday roast with a buternut squash filo roll and all the trimmings. I'm a raw vegan and the chef made me an "off menu" delicious raw salad with no fuss at all. Fantastic service from entertaining and helpful staff. Can't wait to go back!!

Customers bunched up to suit serving staff. Bookings are all at one end presumably to suit serving staff. Too many babies and children not suitable for adult diners

I recently went with a few friends, it was the perfect spot for some drinks and a nice lunch. I would recommend the Guinness it is some of the best in town. We went on a Sunday and the roast really was exceptional, I cannot recommend it enough!

What a find, called in for dinner and had one of the best pies Ive ever had, full of steak and kidney and the pastry was delicious. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and included golden beetroot, which was a lovely addition. The lady (young lady) was super friendly and made us feel at home. They were having a pub quiz later in the evening and every table was reserved; just shows how popular and community minded the pub is.

I have a shellfish allergy, but love fish. so I rang The White Hart in advance of our visit. The staff could not have been more helpful and the chef (Raj?) even came to the phone to talk to me. He took all the stress away with his understanding and totally accommodated my needs. Thank you very much for an excellent lunch for four and the good service.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in a hostelry! The men's toilets are disgusting! They have a drug problem with some of the customers snorting in the toilet stalls! The bar staff are surly! The manager is an oaf who thinks he can talk to people like dirt! As for the Sunday roast? I like vegetables drained of water, gravy with something less like brown water and a slice of meat thicker than aluminum foil! Three years ago they had a polite, enthusiastic manager that kept the place well run and had a beer garden devoid of trash and toilets that had operating facilities and didn't smell! The ale selection was fantastic too!

What a shame! We have been meeting friends at The Bricklayers Arms for many years and always had good food in a very friendly atmosphere. On our latest visit there was a restricted menu and what food we had was over cooked, poorly presented and in one case inedible. On the plus side the young lady who served us and appeared to be the only staff on duty in the bar and restaurant was very friendly.

As part of my birthday treat of visiting nearby Hever Castle, we booked to stay at The Greyhound at Hever restaurant with rooms for the night (September 2024). It’s a delightful little place, with just five bedrooms, a few minutes drive from Hever Castle and well placed for exploring this lovely part of Kent. Our room, number four, was a ground floor room that opened onto the garden where we sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee whilst listening to the sound of birds singing in the trees. The room had everything we needed for an overnight stay including the most important things - a comfortable bed and a very good shower. We ate dinner in the intimate restaurant where the tables were well spaced so we didn’t feel cramped or overheard by nearby diners. The food that we chose was delicious and reasonably priced, as was the wine list. The owner was friendly and welcoming and we felt at ease both at dinner and again at breakfast. Breakfast was another very good meal with a good range of choices. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and if we return to that part of Kent again we’d definitely return to The Greyhound.

Superb pub food. I had Prawn/Salmon Cocktail - generous/fresh followed by pie and mash - unbeatable. My wife had soup(which was hot - you’d be amazed at how many places serve lukewarm) with crusty fresh bread, followed by Sea Bass beautifully cooked (so easy to over cook) - excellent chef 👏👏👏
