Customers bunched up to suit serving staff. Bookings are all at one end presumably to suit serving staff. Too many babies and children not suitable for adult diners

Only critisism is that staff put all their cuctomers to the right hand end of the bar grouped together presumably for their serving convenience. Also seems to have become popular with large family groups having childrens paraphinalar. spread over and around the table spoiling the atmosphere for other customers. Several very large tables. Request left hand end when booking.

Myself and my other half went with a few friends of ours and the food was outstanding, so was the young waitress that served us at our table, and the young man behind the bar was very pleasant and took time to talk to us a recommend us some drinks which was very good. The only thing was that there was a blonde lady with glasses that didn’t seem to really be paying much attention to customers. She would say hello to us then get one of the girls (who where outstanding to seat us) then turn back to her phone. Which made us feel a little unwelcome and it felt like she was more invested on what she was doing on her phone than the customers. As well as complaining to some of the staff when they where working very hard, for allegedly not doing their jobs to the best of their ability. Which I personally thought was a bit harsh seeing as they where working hard enough. Other than that food, drink and everything else was superb. We shall definitely be returning.

The refurbished interior is great, the food is really god and the welcoming attitude of the management is excellent (especially compared to some of the local alternatives). Highly recommended

A great place! The service here is absolutely amazing, and so is the food. All the staff think nothing of bending over backwards to help make their customers time in this rainy enjoyable and comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly, warm and relaxing. I highly recommend this venue. Rev. Dr. Tony Mortley Ph.D.,Ph.D.,S.A.C. Dip. (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

Very friendly staff serving super food. We needed lunch on our way through Kent and this pub proved to be absolutely what we wanted.

This pub clearly discourages sandwich orders. The selection was very limited, served on poor quality bread and greatly over priced. We have been here in the past but this visit was most disappointing.

A lovely venue in Bessels Green but unfortunately when our group came to order quite a few of the main dishes were not available. It appeared to be a very busy night but the staff were very friendly.

My partner booked this for a night. I've previously been but not since the refurb a few years ago. I was amazed at how different it is....it's very friendly for one thing but the decor and interiors, the fantastic food! Breakfast options were very nice, rooms, comfortable and the staff go out of their way for guests. Our room was really comfortable and clean and there was sloe gin that we could help ourselves to in our room, so we did! A lovely place, can't wait to go back!

Charm with a familiar twist Stepping into the George and Dragon feels like walking into a friend’s sitting room. The oak door creaks with character, brass lamps throw a soft glow across the old floorboards, and before you've even sat down, you feel at ease. Warm, instinctive service The staff here have nailed that rare mix of being welcoming without being overbearing. They greet you with a knowing smile, make thoughtful recommendations without a script, and somehow seem to intuit what you might enjoy before you even ask. It’s hospitality that feels personal, not polished. Drinks No pretension here, just a well-chosen, rotating lineup of local ales and a compact wine list that covers the essentials. Food 🤌 Genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve had in Kent. What sets the George and Dragon apart is that it doesn’t try too hard. The warmth feels earned, from the friendly team to the thoughtful details and great beer garden. It’s the kind of place that lingers with you afterwards, in the best possible way.
