The best restaurants serving British food in Reigate and Banstead South East

We stayed in Horley after a late night flight from tenerufe and before a 150 mile drive home. We went here, given the reviews, and purchased Haddock and Chips and a Jumbo sausage with chips. Our hotel was 5 minutes away. The chips were semi- warm and greasy, the paper was dripping so they went in the bin. The fish was neither Haddock or Cod and tasted like pollock, the batter was OK so it got eaten, the sausage was ok too. The price however was eye popping at £19.40. My local chip shop for tgat us under £14.

I ordered scones from Edibles for a Wake I was organising and they were absolutely wonderful - just as scones should be with a slightly crusty outside and lovely and soft inside. I will definitely be going back for more. While there I also bought some ham for sandwiches and that was lovely, too, much much better than supermarket ham. Lovely service as well. I would definitely recommend. Thank you

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and provided exceptional service throughout our meal—attentive without being intrusive. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients... everything was perfectly prepared. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and service so flawlessly. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We will be definitely be coming back!

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent lunch. The food (from the new menu) was delicious and the service was prompt. Jackie, who served us, was very efficient and friendly.

Don’t go to any other chip shop food always good fresh. Staff are all friendly and you are recognised as a loyal customer.

We have visited this diner many times and always found the staff very helpful and friendly . We think the prices are very reasonable the portions are plentiful . My wife and i often have there homemade bolognese which is superb better than some Italian Restaurants.

Quite pricey although after having the taste of the dishes that explains, you are spoilt by a Michelin star Chefs menu! So succulent and tender cooked meat that rarely you can find at any other BBQ restaurants around Horley. Only thing missing from their tasty menu is that the Chef's special chili sauce or meze (homemade).? There is no other alternative chili dish at the menu either, like Ezme? it is a vegetarian medium hot meze to which goes well with BBQ dishes. We felt so lucky to be service by best quality Turkish BBQ Kebab restaurant. Thank you to Duke of Cambridge Hotel management for having a Turkish BBQ Kebab. Keep up the good quality service. Excellent service, very friendly, the food has improved significantly since taking over from Deep Blue, the chips are top quality, nice golden colour and very tasty 👍🏻

Nice food, server's were very pleasant

I visit the white hart very often for meals with my family and have always been happy. However my last visit I have been left disappointed. We had ordered our drinks which was 2 bottles of wine between our table, and after 10 minutes of ordering a manager came over to ID myself and another. I don’t have an issue with being ID but why 10 minutes after ordering the drinks? I ordered the steak burger and chips and received my chips cold, let the waitress know to which she took my plate. She returned 2 mins later with no apology and as if the food had been put in the microwave. While we were eating out main all the lights in the pub had switched off. I would assume a power cut but by the laughter of the staff at the bar and them saying “turn the lights back on” made me assume this was no mistake. Again no apologies just laughter by the staff. Very disappointing, especially after coming so often and never having an issue
