I'm sorry I have only given 4 stars for atmosphere but it was drizzling, grey and misty when we visited. However we were very impressed and look forward to returning again soon. A perfect place to start and finish exploring Reigate Hill. The hot chocolate and food were recommended and that's why we visited. Can't wait to work my way through the menu as there is an excellent selection. See you soon on a sunny day next time.

Great place to stop, friendly staff, really good basic food at sensible prices! Hot Gnocci 'soup' and sausage casserole went down a treat. Be warned , we arrived 3pm and most food choices had been sold - great to know they are fresh each day.

Far above average café, with an incredible view and surrounding area. Access on foot requires a bit of hiking, but it’s well worth the view, being right next to Reigate Fort, the B-17G crash memorial, the sun dial, and the Royal Alexandra Albert school ponds. The selection of food is wide, though the same cannot be said for the vegan options, the selection remains sufficient. It is great to remember that not all vegan options are shown on the menu, such as the vegan sausage roll, which I recommend after the inevitable hike!

Rude staff spoilt what was otherwise a nice afternoon ,they shouted from inside the kiosk to ask what we wanted , they were busy making coffee etc for some other customers and as I’m hard of hearing I wasn’t sure they were talking to us at first . Gave our order and she may as well have rolled her eyes when we were checking what ice lolly my autistic grandson would like as they didn’t have his initial choice . After we had finished our drinks my daughter wanted to use the toilets it was at least 15 -20 minutes before they closed and they were just about to start cleaning them , they refused to let my daughter use it , she tried again after they had cleaned them and was told abruptly “ they’re closed now “ Will not be returning.

**Junction 8 Café Review** Nestled just off the M25, Junction 8 Café is a hidden gem that offers much more than just a quick stop for refreshments. The café boasts stunning views over beautifully maintained lawned areas, offering a perfect backdrop for a relaxing break. What sets Junction 8 apart is the staff, their thoughtful touch of providing deck chairs, allowing you to fully enjoy the serene surroundings. It's a simple yet delightful way to unwind, especially after a long journey or a hike along the North Downs Way. One of the highlights of this charming spot is their remarkably affordable tea—easily the cheapest I’ve found in London or anywhere along the North Downs Way. Despite the low price, the quality is top-notch, making it an unbeatable deal. Whether you're a traveler in need of a peaceful break or a local looking for a picturesque spot to enjoy a cup of tea, Junction 8 Café is the perfect destination. With excellent service, stunning views, and unbeatable prices, it’s a must-visit for anyone passing through or exploring the area.

Hot drinks are always great here. Had a brie and bacon ciabatta though. Tasted ok. Was very greasy. Toasted ciabatta was very tough and bacon was aswell. The grill could have clearly done with a clean because burnt bits from other sandwiches left a burnt flavour and were deposited all over outside of sandwich.

Had a very good coffee and an excellent BLT sandwich, made to order with the bacon cooked in front of us. A very tasty meal in its own right, best I’ve had for years. The walks from here were also excellent with a number of historical features along the North Downs Way west from here explained by signs.

Forgot my order of a small coffee, ten minutes later I point this out as I see people getting food who ordered after me. Wasn't that busy. The guy serving smirkingly refuses to acknowledge anything about the wait, claims I have an attitude and throws 3 coins at me. Simple sorry for the wait wouldn't go a miss as everyone in my group is waiting. 3 quid for a tiny cake too. Nice spot though, shame about the arrogance of the geezer serving me.

I have never actually used it despite being here dozens of times, but it always seems busy so it must be fine. There are plenty of benches outside if you buy something to eat or drink from the cafe. There is a public toilet next to it. The lack of car parking is a problem, but I cannot see any simple way of expanding the car park due to the surrounding roads and very steep terrain. Possibly across Wray Lane by chopping down some trees. It is a big area of forest so a few hundred trees will not make any difference.

I’ve been coming here for years. The view is incredible. On a clear day you can see the sea. The food’s very good and the service and friendliness is even better! You’re on the North Down Way here. This is dog walking country to be sure. There are multiple walks from level to quite hilly. If you cross over the motorway to Margery Woods, which is lovely, you can connect to what feels like a typical Scottish golf course, Walton Heath. Lots of gorse and heather. Or Banstead Heath. All very pretty, especially in spring. Lots of pasture and horses abound. I did the millennium circuit today. 2.24 miles. I’ve been doing these walks for 30 years now and I never grow tired of it❣️

We got to this cafe after a long walk just as it was closing, I'd passed it before but never actually purchased anything - and it surpassed all our expectations!! Our iced coffees were lovely, and when we asked for cannolis the lovely staff gave us them for free as it was the end of the day and they were amazing! The coffee we got was also extremely reasonably priced - £3.40 for an iced latte with a syrup. Views from the nearby bench were perfect too, situated overlooking some beautiful countryside. Overall can't recommend highly enough!!
