Sea Salt in Reigate and Banstead

Local chippy to my Grandma. When I come over from Thailand for a visit I insist on fish and chips from this fantastic restaurant. I've eaten in once which was great. Usually get a takeaway though. Portion sizes are extremely generous. Bear this in mind when ordering for a few people.

because I stayed at my sons for a night babysitting. I ordered just eat and had it delivered to that address. my address is Gordon road. order I just had delivered was to battery Hill. my husband has had to go over to their address to get my birthday dinner

Super fish and chips, it's a shame I do not live near enough to visit regularly.

Food is good but I probably won’t be ordering from here again as the food took an hour and a half to arrive when the delivery estimate was 25-40 minutes. I had a very hungry child by the time it arrived! I could see the driver was there for nearly an hour waiting for the food which seems bizarre as I’m sure they wouldn’t leave a customer waiting that long for their food. Easier for me to just drive over and order it myself next time.

Really gone down hill, it’s so sad as we used to say this was the best fish and chips but unfortunately it definitely wasn’t this evening.The fish was extremely greasy , the sausage was like rubber and the chips were also extremely greasy!. They usually put the chips in a separate box but today it was all shoved into one box where the fish had been sitting on top of the chips which made them even more greasy. The bread roll which again is usually really nice - very dry!, I’m sorry sea salt but as regular customers for the last few years we probably won’t be back. The quality seems to have slipped some what your usual high quality food didn’t deliver today.

Great service, fantastically warm welcome & hospitality; the owners couldn't do enough to ensure we were seated comfortably and had all we needed to thoroughly enjoy our fish supper. The fish and chips were the best we've had in a long while, all freshly fried for us and not at all greasy. The portion sizes were so generous we were given a box to take away the food we could not finish, excellent value for money too. Highly recommended.

Great fish and chips. Had the haddock for a change and that was lovely too. Highly recommend ringing ahead to arrange a pick up seems to speed things up somewhat.

Over priced for a takeaway. Fish was good. However chips were terrible, really over cooked and in many cases bordering on hard. Shame if you consider fish and chips should be equally great !!! Tartare sauce homemade was runny and not think or as expected. SO … sorry but this was very disappointing, chips were shockingly bad and really not worth the price

I've been about to know what good and not.. if you're ever local or fancy a drive, this has got to be the best chips I have ever put past my lips and enjoyed every bit of it. So if the chips are as this good, the rest must be EPIC 💪

Everything on point and probably the best fish and chips on the m25 radius. Two cod suppers with different batters: gluten & non-gluten and both exceeded expectations

I placed a large order Saturday afternoon to collect in the evening. From initially calling Sea Salt and placing the order to collecting the food the service was great and the food superb. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Highly recommend.

Fish N chips in perfection. The staff and service is the best I've ever received, all smiles and welcoming with plenty of enjoyable small talk! The food is exquisite, I had a classic small cod and chips with mushy peas, simply delicious. The restaurant itself has a comfortable dining area that has lots of light and is on theme with sailing and the sea. Will definitely be returning whenever it is I crave a chippy!

The amazing team at SeaSalt excelled themselves on Saturday early evening with turning out 27 takeaway meals for a family party. The speed at which they prepared all the various orders was impressive, with great service that’s charming and friendly as always. The food was delicious, excellent fish and brilliant chips. We are so lucky to have this delightful business in our town! Thanks

Really good fish and chips. Service was relatively quick as all fish is freshly cooked, not kept hot and dry out. The service is friendly and well organised.

This is the first time I tried, the food was not as expected tasty… The only thing that is good is they have lunch menu, which is not expensive

A fish and chip shop that does takeways and has a few tables for those that want to eat-in. We had various sorts of fish and chips, all great. The cod I had was thick and tasty with just enough batter around the outside, no oiliness at all. I didn't feel bloated but didn't eat for the rest of the day either. The others were similarly delighted with what they had. The staff were really friendly and engaging without being pushy - happy to chat if/when asked, otherwise sticking well to their jobs. Three fish-and-chip lunches + three teas/coffees for about £60.

Absolutely delicious fish and chips, genuinely the best I’ve ever had. Brilliantly cooked fresh fish and a huge portion of the best crispy proper chips you could ask for. I go all the time and it is consistently excellent. As our national dish it is amazing how poorly done f&c is in so may places. Sea Salt never disappoints. Just a shame the owner is Tottenham, but you can’t have everything!

Use this place occasionally. The food is always good. In last visit waited almost 20 mins for my order but food was cooked fresh so not really an issue. Very friendly service

I have been very happy with the food served over the last 5 years but on Saturday 27th January :- i bought cod and chips,mushy peas and tarter sauce- and a battered sausage (not yet eaten) £18.50 - order number 57 at time 6.45pm when i got home i thought the cod was a bit rubbery and tasteless - but not having eaten since breakfast i did eat it . 6 hours later i had the most terrible stomach pains and violent sickness both ends ! i am recovering today. dry toast for me tonight !

Be careful when paying, the lady that works here covers the card machine and over charges when challenged she says it was a mistake but it happened twice so seems like a coincidence , she is also very rude. She was unable to give a receipt when she overcharged me.

I ordered on Deliveroo and was very pleased with how quickly they delivered. Delicious cod and chips (10/10!!) and a very generous portion size. Will definitely be back, maybe to come eat in next time 😁.

The staff are really lovely, but the fish was drenched in oil... portions are huge. A regular is rather large, I'll downsize next time

Very disappointed. Was looking forward to cod and chips. Cod was very oily and the chips tasted like they were refried and were brown. Shame as before they had been delicious.

Seemed to be slow to assign a driver (more than 30 mins). Then maybe it was a bit too quick, because an item was omitted from the order (mushy peas). Not the best service.
