Had dinner with my wife. The food was really great. Service was also amazing.

As excellent as the last time we went. if you love Tamil and Kerla dishes, this is a must visit. Ordered the Kizhi parotta, unwrapping it transported me to my university days in Coimbatore. Will definitely visit whenever we travel up to London

Had a great service from Mohan Raj! Food was amazing.. I wasn’t sure of some dishes and Mohan Raj made it easy for us to choose the items and they were simply delicious!

Honestly, it's one of the best services I've had in a while. The food and the staff there were downright great. Especially Mr.Mohan who was so helpful and made sure that we got what we needed in the best way possible. It was really refreshing to see such good quality in service and food.

The tandoor kings prawns costed me £10.95 and look at this quantity! I called them up and they asked me to talk to the bosses for the cost, apparently they are on cost cutting mode. The guy cut the call rudely. Absolutely mannerless guy ! Saturday night dinner spoilt! Don’t think will order from them in near future.

The Joshua Tree sounds more like serendipity for me since I accidentally found this place on the way to a business meeting and while I was craving for Indian food. This is the best Indian cuisine I have experienced in the whole of Redhill or Surrey county. Their Kerala dishes (Kerala is a southern state in India) are so authentic that I felt transported back in time. The ambience is great, the staff are so polite and the pricing is absolutely worth the experience. I suggest visiting this place if you are in or around Redhill.

All the food myself and the people I was with tasted amazing. I was definitely recommend the gobi manchuria. All 3 of us came out stuffed and really satisfied

Was craving for some authentic Kerala food during my visit to UK and did ended up ordering once on Uber form then and was amazed by the soft and tasty parotta.. did visit them today for lunch and was really happy with the place , hospitality and food.. Kappa and fish curry was yummy but indeed fish nirvana stole the show… would shout out to localities and travellers to try…

As a veteran of the South Indian restaurants in Tooting, I'm delighted that the cooking style has arrived on my doorstep. We've had several takeaways from here recently, and they've all been pretty stellar, comfortably my favourite "curry house" in the area. Would recommend dosas, dry fry beef, pretty much everything we've had.

Wonderful take out from The Joshua Tree tonight. Our 1st ever fish curry, prawn mango curry and Goan fish curry with vegetable noodles and rice. So tasty, good quality fish and prawns. Will 100% have that again and bringing our friends and family. And to top it off the staff are beyond lovely too.

A last minute detour and im so glad it got me here if you like the best Indian food for me this is it Seriously! I travel the length and breadth of this country and up until now thought I'd ate good food. Took 20 mins to get a drink food was average again 40 mins waiting for food popperdoms not fresh very little condiments with them only 2 other people in restaurant at this time toilets not that clean door does not shut in toilet would not go back again

We’ve popped in for a pint, we’ve eaten in and we’ve had a home delivery (multiple times!). Without doubt the food is sensational! The owners/staff are lovely, and it’s one of our favourite local haunts.

We were unfortunately unimpressed with our takeaway. The aloo gobi was tasty but quite over cooked. The chicken in the Varutharacha curry was dry and chewy but the sauce was very tasty. The Schezwan chicken noodles had barely any chicken in and the noodles were again over cooked so were mushy. The chicken in the Chilli chicken dish was better but the dish was weirdly bland.

Had a Mysore Masala Dosa it was perfect, and a super lamb Biryani made me so happy xx

This pub restaurant is definitely not closed it is a south Indian restaurant. A very good one at that. We have had 2 excellent meals there in the last couple of months. I would highly recommend this pub

One of the best restaurants we have dined all across the world, definitely on the top spot. We were new to South indian food and as we ordered a common Indian food that we most probably have in any other Indian resturants we go to, the waiter there smiled and gave a look suggesting that "aren't we bored trying the same thing over and over again". And obviously our reply was then why don't you suggest something, to which he was waiting for this reply and he brought in the best mouth watery treats we ever had in our life. The masala dosa , the presentation and the taste is something you must try here in this place. And the fish wrapped in banana leaf and fried omg just unlocked a new memory of taste for us, we will be back and for you all reading this , if you are new to Indian food and have no clue what to order then go to the big man who is always happy and gives out a big smile. The best experience ever😍☺️👍.

First order was great, delivered promptly and hot. Great quality. Absolutely nothing to complain about. 5* on that one. Second order placed roughly 6 months after the first order was awful, there is no other way to put it - from customer service, delivery time, food temp and food quality - awful. Took 3 hours to be delivered, delivery was cold so I requested it to be remade, guy on the phone didn't apologise, just said "I can remake it but I want the old one back" - fair enough but no need to be rude and an apology would've been nice. The onion bhajis were awful, dense and cold even after being remade - not similar to any onion bhaji that I have ever had. The curry was nice, but the butter chicken was spicy - this is usually a safe option for my partner, who doesn't do spice, so this was disappointing for her. Naan cold and dense. Unfortunately, wouldn't order from here again.

Incredible food - I love Indian food and have tried almost all of the restaurants locally and this is by far the most traditional curry of them all. Such delicious spices and quality food. I would highly recommend! The team were extremely helpful and kind, although service was a little slow at times. Can't wait to try more of the menu!!

We had a bridal shower in The Joshua Tree and the staff provided really nice service. We tried Paalkappa and beef curry, kappa and fish curry and fish pollichathu. Loved all.

Poor quality food tonight. We gave found the quality to be inconsistent unfortunately.

We have eaten here numerous times. The food is normally great when we eat in. Although it can unfortunately be inconsistent. Perhaps different chefs on different nights? Either way there needs to be consistency. It's a shame because they often serve great food, however we have been let down by the last couple of meals. This has been moreso the case with delivery. We have found that sometimes dishes contain bones and other times the meat is boneless. Either is okay with us, but it is the inconsistency that let's them down.

I say this as an Indian - the Joshua tree has the most authentic Indian food I've had in the area. We tried a selection of dishes from both north and south of India and everything was perfect. We'll be back soon 🥰

I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses but this is now the second week in a row that I’ve had an issue with this restaurant. Last week, I attempted to order 3 times from their website, which crashed on the payment page every time. They called to let me know these orders had been received and they would send a card machine, but there would now be a much, much longer wait time. I respectfully declined and they recommended that I used Uber Eats next time. We went and had a McDonald’s instead which was underwhelming when we’d been looking forward to a curry night. Fast forward to this week and we placed the order through Uber Eats. It arrived in good time, but sadly, the butter masala I’d been looking forward to didn’t arrive. From the description on their website, it appears we were sent ‘chili chicken’. I am mildly allergic to very spicy foods, and unfortunately, after one mouthful of this very spicy dish, I had a reaction. I could not eat the remainder, and complained to Uber Eats, who to their credit, have refunded us for this dish. Two weeks in a row, two ruined curry nights. The two stars are because we had a great meal on our first order. We won’t be returning as two out of our three orders have been a complete failure. If you have an allergy, please avoid as you can’t guarantee that the correct dish has been dispatched.

Ordered on Uber eat after hearing great things about this restaurant. Was disappointed my chicken biriani was just a chicken thigh in rice no vegetable curry with it, the onion bhajees were cold. Have contacted restaurant twice to let them know but no reply from them! Have heard back from restaurant after they read this review. They normally serve with a salad and pickle neither that I received! Offered a complimentary biriani as a goodwill gesture.

Amazing food and service is great! Staff are really friendly and talkative. After having the food, It really felt like we were back in Kerala. Such an authentic, ‘nadan’ taste. Highlights were the ‘Fish molly’, ‘chicken lollipop’ and ‘kizhi porotta’. We highly recommend The Joshua Tree and we can’t wait to visit again!

Had been recommended trying the Joshua tree by a couple of people so were really hopeful. Starters were nice but not blown away.. then the chicken lollipops came and thankfully I cut into them first as they were completely uncooked in the middle. They took these back and we said we didn't want them again so they removed them off the bill. Rest of the food was nice but not exceptional. They apologised for the raw chicken again and as apology charged my husbands pint as half pint. Pretty poor discount/ apology for a pretty serious mistake which could of made us very ill. Unfortunately we would not return

Delighted to find authentic Kerala food with Indian spices and delicious taste in this cosy warm pub! The decor is tastefully appointed with British ales and full bar menu, while the food is a wide variety of both Indian and British cuisine.

During our London trip we visited the restaurant with family friends the food service was good, and the staff was very attentive to customers. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Indian. Especially South Indian, Excellent!!👍🏻

Had ordered home delivery . Was tasty and exceeded my expectations . Had ordered dahi papdi chat , Samosa chat , all type of Dosa (although won’t recommend Mysore masala dosa ) , gobi manchurian , veg fried rice . I’d easily recommend these dishes.

Joshua Tree has the best ambiance, best customer service and the best food around the area. Joshua Tree has the one of the best Toddys (കള്ള്) in the UK. Joshua Tree is a special treat for the people from Kerala. They are planning and working on a new menu and outdoor dining for the summer. Can't wait for summer.

I recently knew about this restaurant and saw good reviews about it. So I ordered chicken biriyani through food delivery app. I got the food on time, but the taste was Below average and usually for chicken biriyani it will be severed with boiled egg but there was no boiled egg provided with biriyani and that was a great disappointment for me. Price was also really high I spended £16 for this average biriyani totally waste of money. Will not order again in this restaurant. Hope they will improve the taste in future.

My wife and I have visited the Joshua tree twice now since it opened and have really enjoyed the experience both times! They offer all the usual Indian dishes but also a variety of different options to try. The service is really attentive and atmosphere is great - it's great to have an Indian meal in a pub environment. Highly recommend.

Tried The Joshua Tree for the first time tonight, absolutely lovely tasting, tried the Gobi Manchurian never heard of it before... Wow was amazing. Had become fed up with previous places we had tried, so glad we I tried here!

Went there for mothers day and the food and service were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. One of the nicest thing was that they gave mum a Mothers day card, free glass of excellent wine as well as an excelant side dish for free. This is the best service given

The food was authentic and flavorful, reminding me of home-cooked meals. Every dish impressed my guests. The staff's professionalism made the experience seamless. It’s the best and most authentic Indian food (with an emphasis on South Indian flavor). Their chicken lollipop is to die for; it’s so delicious. We moved to Redhill, and our kitchen was not set for a couple of days. We looked at Uber Eats and started scrolling through online food joints. We stumbled upon the Jousha tree and looked at its menu. We saw chicken lollipops, and it was no going back from there. My partner is absolutely obsessed with chiken Lolis. We ordered a couple of times from there, and the taste was consistent. We absolutely loved their South Indian flavor infused, non-vegetarian curry. We have never visited this place in person; hopefully we will soon, or maybe today? Who knows.

I recently joined some friends for a birthday celebration on a Tuesday night at the Joshua Tree. I hadn't been there before but had heard some good secondhand reviews. On entering I was a little wary but the setup of a pub at the front of the building and a curry restaurant at the back, but the staff made us feel welcome. It was quite quiet, with two other tables occupied, so the service was swift and the food came out pretty quickly. And as for the food - wow. I am no expert, but everything I ordered tasted amazing. A guest in our party was a self proclaimed curry expert and they were impressed as well. We chatted to our waiter and how long they had owned the restaurant and where the food originated from. He was very chatty and lovely to talk to. Overly it was a fun and feast-ful evening. Looking forward to my next visit.

Had a delivery from here last night they delivered wrong food after speaking to two different people ? How can a chicken curry be mistaken for a varutharacha chicken curry ? The food was very dark in colour and very oily . The meal we had for two was expensive and was charged 20 per cent tax on top as well for delivery ?. All in all extremely disappointed about the whole experience after reading all the good reviews ..Been eating Curry's for 40 years all over London and this place certainly is not any where near up to scratch will definitely not ordering from here again wrong order oily food and very expensive not much more I can say be warned. oh and the fella answering for delivery speaks very little English £44.65 for 2 chicken curries 1 boiled rice 1 Bombay potato 1 aloo Gobi 1 keema nan 1 plain nan Very pricey Would like to point out after your reply that there was no discussion regarding the different chicken curry so that's untrue. The man I spoke to didn't speak good English I was passed on to a young lady and no discussion whatsoever was made re the curry you sent that I never ordered. I'm more than happy to come to your premises to get refund , Also nothing was mentioned regarding £5 delivery charge another untrue statement. 45 minutes late on a normal Tuesday evening (ridiculous). Food was just about warm not hot. If I wanted food to heat in a microwave I would have purchased a microwave meal. Quality of the food was average and I will not make the mistake of ordering from here again. First and last time ordering from here.

Food was excellent. Good sized portions and incredibly tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive. Knocked a star off because there was very little meat on the fish in the Fish Volcano dish, but the rest was very good indeed.

Good food if you know what to order. I've been here twice, and liked fried items such as Gobi Manchurian and Schezwan fried rice. Haven't been a fan of their chats as they feel like they are off the shelf. Service, though is excellent. Staff are very accommodating and offer you all the help you need in ordering and making yourself comfortable. If only veg options were more and made better, I would update the place with full 5 stars.

Having visited the Joshua Tree prior to it becoming an Indian restaurant, I had high hopes! Sadly these hopes were dashed rather quickly. Popadoms, were a tad soft, tandoori prawns mushy, Chicken 65 fried and dry, lamb chops small, however the chilli beef was the saviour of the starters! Mains were ordered, warm plates set out and there we sat. To pass the time more drinks were ordered however we had to chase as they were not forthcoming unlike the takeaway orders which were flowing out of the kitchen at regular intervals. At one point during our wait the waiter apologised for the delay in our main meals being cooked due to a problem with an oven. We accepted this explanation, however when more takeaways kept coming out of the kitchen with no sign of our mains, frustration started to mount. After 50 minutes, with warm plates cold we asked for the bill. The one waiter who was run ragged apologised profusely, a second waiter came out and informed us our dinner was ready and brought out one main course which looked like it had been sitting on the pass for the length of time we had been waiting! The run ragged waiter produced our bill, deducted our starters which was extremely kind, however the overall experience had been ruined. This visit was extremely disappointing. Had the restaurant been heaving, it wouldn’t have been so bad. Joshua Tree you might have a booming takeaway business but please remember your restaurant customers are equally as important!

We had here great staff party. I ate here the best chicken lollies and American chop suey ever. Great flavours not too spicy. Big portions and burning hot. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Really nice place to spend time. I will be back here for sure! Thanks guys!

Best curry i have had in ages. Tradtional indian food. Highly recommended the chicken tikka massala. Pilau rice was outstanding. Used to love the old Joshua tree, so was apprehensive at first but wasn't disappointed in the least. Will be trying the takeaway option as well soon.
