Fantastic roast dinner. Huge!! We both orders the 3 meat roast and could not believe the size. Half a roast chicken each plus beef & lamb plus all the usual accompaniments. However it was not a case of quantity over quality. It was very well cooked with lovely rich gravy. Jackie was our server and she just made you feel at home instantly.

Went back here for another special family occasion (23 of us) and was well looked after with great service from Jacky and tasty food , thank you!

Jackie was a very good host, polite, efficient and bubbly. Food came out in a timely manner and was well organised. Only reason the food was 4 star is because it could have been a bit hotter. But, when there are 23 of us being served, it's kind of expected. Overall, the family and I had a lovely time. Thanks to everyone who made my grandparents' anniversary a special one 🫶🏻

Had a lovely meal last night, after a very long week we needed a hassle free evening and that is exactly what we had. Chloe our waitress was absolutely perfect she was not to much but not to little she was just perfect. She did not make us rush when we couldn’t decide whether to have a pudding or not. Over all it was a lovely evening and we enjoyed every part of it. Thank you to all the mill house staff but a special thanks to Chloe.

Staying locally before flying out of Gatwick we went to the Mill House for dinner with our two young boys. Lovely service from both Jackie and Alicia. Lovely food too. The perfect start to our holiday, thank you so much!

A lovely lunch. Very well looked after by Jackie..... I had a salad....all fresh and crispy lettuce....lovely! Dave and Maureen had a burger and a curry, and cleared their plates. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Quality of food has gone down, and options reduced (new menu). I was going to order the rump steak and chips as I have many times before, only to be told it is no longer an option, I settled for the sirloin and chips. Ordered a rare, came out medium and the chips dark and oily, they apologised and replaced it only to come out much the same. I have been here many times over the years, but this was not good at all. The manager apologised again and took the meal of the bill.

I came here for lunch with my twin sister and nan, and the waitress’ service was amazing. Her name was Jackie and she was so friendly, talkative and smiley, ensuring we had everything we needed. She made our experience here so lovely and was such a great person to have serving us.

We were a table of 12. There were other large groups too but we received good service particularly by Jacob who really put himself out for us.

Disappointing Poor value = prices up, portion sizes down Food comparable with Wetherspoons, but nowhere near the Wetherspoons value One (F) member of staff was helpful and friendly, the others "mediocre" Captive market with adjacent Premier Inn

Food was nice. The reason for the poor review is purely based off the service provided. We entered the restaurant and stood waiting for 5 minutes before anyone turned up to greet us. We had to go looking for someone in the end. When the manager on duty finally appeared there was no apology or greeting, simply a question “have you booked?”. The restaurant was very quiet but non the less we had actually booked a table and said yes and what name it was booked under. The manager asked if we had any allergies and we said no and she took us to our seats. Before even sitting down she was asking what drinks we wanted and we placed an order despite feeling a bit rushed. We then had our waitress arrive who was an older lady. She didn’t introduce herself so I’m unsure of her name but she was friendly and enough and interacted with our baby. Halfway through our meal we noticed our waitress was packing up her personal items and it appeared she was getting ready to finish her shift. At that moment a new waitress entered the restaurant near where we were seated and was very loud talking about her personal life and how “tired” she was and how she “couldn’t be bothered to be there” and she was at work so often that she should just “live at the restaurant as she was always there”. Slightly inappropriate but we tried best to ignore her loud chats with the kitchen staff. We had then finished our meals and waited for what seemed like a long time before anyone approached us. When someone finally did we noted it was this new waitress. She approached and said “are you finished”. We said “yes thank you” and she took the plates and left. Didn’t introduced herself or ask how our meals were. We did however look at her badge and her name was Zoe L. We then waited a long time again before going up to the station to collect our own menus to view desserts. Eventually Zoe returned and said “do you want any desserts”. We did and we ordered. Again another long wait for desserts which then arrived and was placed on the table with no words spoken. I ordered a crumble with custard and the crumble itself looked fine but the custard was splatted on the side of the plate and dribbling up the side of the crumble pot with a spoon shoved in the middle so the handle was all covered in custard. Terrible presentation and clearly rushed. We then waited and waited and no one came to clear the plates so we eventually went up to a waiter who was wearing tracksuit bottoms (uniform standards??) and was on his phone texting and asked if we could pay. His name was Jack. He took payment but said nothing. We gathered our items and left. No one around to say goodbye. Not once asked how our food was (in this situation it all tasted lovely). The bar staff were quick at refilling our refillable drink. Customer service from waitresses and managers were just at a really poor level. No manners, no professionalism. Disappointing as it impacts your experience of dining out.

The staff are so rude! Me and my boyfriend just went in where they were EMPTY yet my boyfriend was abruptly told we can’t be seated without a booking as the waiter walked away. we then tried to book for right now and it said we couldn’t so I then asked who I assumed was the manager. Again like I said it was empty so I asked why we couldn’t sit in the restaurant and he was very rude and blunt because apparently the power had gone out which I wasn’t aware of because it didn’t state this anywhere and the lights were on🥴 He mansplained to me like I was a child in a very angry tone which I found very unprofessional. He then told me to read the sign at the host desk which I already had but wasn’t clear. It said something along the lines of ‘due to short staff we aren’t serving food at the bar or in the garden’ which I assumed meant because of the lack of staff, they were only serving restaurant food in the restaurant area, not ALL food??… in a restaurant? The manager patronised me into thinking I didn’t read the sign correctly when really it was just poorly worded with no context. I get things happen and staff may be stressed but it is not right to take this out on an unknowing customer who wants to pay money in your establishment! Like the waiter, the manager then walked away while I was still stood there without even giving an apology for the inconvenience

Fantastic service and most of the food was great. The waitress we had was fantastic she was very friendly and helpful and very engaging. The food was really good but 2 of the 4 meals had eggs and they were hit and miss at best. But didn’t spoil the meal. Highly recommend

We had 2 small children with us. The team were superb with them.

All staff are happy, competent and friendly. The food was perfectly cooked in a timely manner and the portions were a good size. Prices are reasonable. We have been looking for a go to place to eat out and this fits the bill. The only grumble I would say is that they were slightly short staffed and could do with at least one other waiter/waitress.

I've been a publican for 30 years. Just feel this venue could achieve so much more . I enjoy it, but always leave thinking, there's so much more potential. Can't really pick a dish. It's a bit hit or miss. Sometimes feel value for money, nice meal, other times 🤷‍♂️

It was my first time here with my family and the atmosphere was peaceful and staff were very friendly. Service was quick, the food was hot and fresh and above all very delicious (chicken burgers, and Salmon and roasted vegetables. The food was reasonably priced, with Blue Light Discount available as well. Good range of puddings and drinks, and free parking. We will be going back.

A lovely bar and restaurant all the staff are friendly, inviting, helpful with everything you need all very kind! We were staying at the Premier Inn across the road, From Friday to Monday 12th to the 15th of July, For visiting our friends, We went in each day all the food is very nice! Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, All lovely and tasty along with the puddings, The drinks are very good great selection of drinks, All clean and tidy! Next time we are visiting we will definitely be going there! Thankyou all very much! Highly recommended!

It always seems to be busy and understaffed, good service, but they're stretched sorting coffee, taking food, orders etc - it's usually booked out. ---- Previous review Went for a breakfast with the kids, booked at 10.15, at 10.30 they whipped away the orange /apple juice my son at 10.31 asked if he could have some and was told flatly no. Not even a ooh sorry we stop at 10.30. come on, be better.

My last time eating here was on my birthday and was a huge let down in all honesty, the food was average, the bar had nothing that I actually wanted for my 1st 2nd and 3rd choices of drinks as they had run out of everything, so I ended up with a pint instead. Wasn't asked if I had a beefeater loyalty card either. Major let down as they are usually really good here.

Two lovely breakfasts whilst staying at the premier inn next door. We enjoyed the buffet and then had lovely freshly cooked hot food of our choice served to us. Excellent and well organised.

No matter which Beefeater it is, the food is consistently good! With the Reward Club, we got 40% off all main meals (minimum spend of £30), superb! Rack of ribs, perfect! Only criticism? None of them ever seem to have the optional upgrade of sweet potatoes.

Arrived at 21.55 Saturday evening expecting to be able to order a drink. The bar apparently closes at 21.45. I have reported the erroneous display of hours to google. Unhelpful staff. A sad place best avoided.
