We popped in here fairly late in the afternoon when they’d started cleaning up but still received a warm welcome. It’s changed management since our last (pre-Covid) visit and the new decor impressed us. It’s been smartened up and now has a new indoor toilet. We had a nice cuppa and I also had a toasted teacake. This was piping hot which isn’t always the case in many cafes. We’ll be back. I’m a little confused about the opening hours by the way. It was a Friday and they were closing at 4pm. The website gives the impression that it’s normally later than this so maybe they need to check it’s accurate so customers aren’t disappointed.

Firstly I would say that the decor is first class, it is spotlessly clean, and the staff are friendly. We have known this place for many years when it was under former management. Our main issue is the menu is limited, and it is expensive for what you get. Indeed poached eggs with muffin with ham & coffee can cost as much as a full English in Cote. That said the food is good. I think they need to adjust their prices downwards, and beef up the menu as it seems not to be as busy as it once was.

Decided to book here for a postnatal group reunion, after not being able to have our usual annual get togethers since March 2020. We were made to feel very welcome and had fantastic customer service throughout! The food was amazing. I had a feta cheese salad for lunch, which was like a main size dinner portion. It was £12 and very good value. We had lots of tea!! I then had a scone, clotted cream and jam - the scone was served warm and was absolutely delicious! I would thoroughly recommend this tea room and I have a few friends who have eaten here recently, all of whom have given very good feedback.

We had a lovely lunch of paninis and a toasted tea cake with coffee. The new decor is beautiful, very friendly staff and attentive as chatted to my 6 year old daughter and brought her a separate plate for sharing a panini and a children's beaker rather than a glass for her juice. It was clean, as were the toilets and would return again in future. We had a lovely time, thank you.

Really disappointed after a previously more positive experience recently. Surprised to find no tables inside on a Monday so we sat outside which was fine just didn’t have the same atmosphere as being indoors looking at the lovely decor. Lunch menu very limited, sandwich or sandwich vs the online menu suggestions. Chicken, Swiss and onion marmalade panini should have been advertised as onion marmalade panini as the taste was completely overpowering. And at £9 a pop, really disappointing. Cappuccino arrived with no saucer or teaspoon, and separately to the other persons drink order. Why not bring together? Service was okay, one waitress was friendly but the other just no interaction whatsoever. No one came to check on us nor offer anything else. Really reluctant to pay these prices for a couple of boring sandwiches with disappointing service. Maybe they were having a bad day 🤷🏼♀️

We went there to celebrate a birthday with afternoon tea. The potions were very generous & delicious, and we're served as a high English tea should be 😊 (with a doggie bag provided for leftovers, which was great as we couldn't eat it all). The decor & ambience is delicate, clean and with a jazzy 20's vibe. The service was excellent & friendly, and perfectly attentive. The loo was good & clean too 👍 Would happily go again.

I usually go to hotels for afternoon tea but when I found this little tea shop offering a similar product for a cheaper price I thought I would give it a go. I was not disappointed! The sandwiches were delicious. The butter in particular stood out. I would love to know where they got it from. The scones were light and fluffy and the slices of cake on top were good to. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive and seemed happy. The tea shop has a rustic feel and they even sell furniture.

I came here yesterday with my husband and I was a bit apprehensive as we had recently been to Chicago, USA and the fillings are plentiful. My husband was not disappointed. He said the ham and cheese toastie was delicious and the coffee was delicious. He liked the fact, that the waitress asked if he wanted the milk heated (he did). I took my friend here for a birthday treat yesterday, and we were greeted by friendly young girls. I chose this cafe for afternoon tea because I have been many times before and love the High Tea! However, I wasn’t as impressed by the afternoon tea we had served to us yesterday. We used to get the afternoon tea served to us on a three tiered cake stand, but this time only got two tiered which isn’t the same presentation-wise. The sandwiches all came with white bread (no option to change) and they were cut into squares, so just fell apart while picking them up. One scone came with raisins, while the other was plain- we would have both liked plain scones, but didn’t have the option there either. Despite the presentation lacking slightly, the food tasted lovely, including the cakes too (which we got to take home). Love that they serve alcohol here too, and large pots of tea! I will be returning again, hoping that it was just an off day yesterday.

Vintage Tea House is a large and spacious cafe, with fairly reasonable prices for Reigate (note to owners: this is not a green light to increase your prices!!) We were served by very friendly and cheerful waitresses and the service was prompt and attentive.A blackboard lists the cakes of the day, all of which are covered (a small but important detail - who wants a cake that's been exposed to the elements all day?) We had a milkshake each - which came with ice cream and toppings - and I opted for a slice of cake, while my co-eater chose a scone. All portions were of a good size and the cake was really moist (probably due to the inclusion of whole raspberries, which was a surprise!) The ice cream menu looked inviting too! I would say that on the day we went, most of the cakes were fruit based; I would have been pleased to see some chocolate or caramel creations too.Although the tables are laid with pretty vintage crockery, I felt that the walls could be livened up with more vintage decor (however we did visit a while ago, so this may have been updated since). It has the potential to have real vintage charm; perhaps it is a work in progress.

Came here for the first time with a couple of ladies from work, where I have been working for over 3yrs & never heard of this place despite being on the high street. It's a very quaint place, like your granny's dining room. Service is super friendly & the menu has so many lovely dishes on it I had difficulty choosing! They have a really good range of teas & coffees too. Not expensive at all & will definitely come back. Just one advisory. If you visit on a sunny day ask to be seated away from the windows, it gets very hot!

Food was lovely, the tea house itself is very pretty. However we were super disappointed that after eating, we were left with dirty plates on our table for half an hour ?! We wanted to have more tea and cake, but in the end we paid and left. We originally wanted afternoon tea for my birthday but as all the sandwiches had dairy in, we opted to just buy off the menu. No member of staff came over to take our plates, we were stood looking at the cakes right near multiple members of staff and we walked around a few times but no one approached us. We gave feedback whilst there to say we were disappointed and we got an apology, but sadly we won't recommend or come back. Such a shame as it was a lovely place but this really let it down.

Really appreciated being able to reserve a table for 3 today. Good service, lovely sandwiches, we spotted the High Tea with cakes and sandwiches, which at £19/head looked very generous. We didnt have that, but judging by every seat taken this place is popular. There are many tea places now in Reigate so alot of competition, so we had a very relaxed lunch Thankyou. My only constructive criticism is to make the most of the empty walls, decorate, scroll, have more things hanging to make it quainter...

My family and I love this cafe and have regularly visited with our children and (well behaved) dog. We have enjoyed many lovely meals together and particular favourites are the toasties and banana splits. We have always been made to feel very welcome and the children have always loved it. Sadly, we went to book today and they have decided, due to some negative comments from other customers about dogs, to not allow them anymore. Such a shame. I know that not everyone likes dogs but seems a shame to ban them completely on the basis of one negative comment on trip advisor. We duly arrived, our names taken and showed to a large table in the window. We were then asked when the others would be arriving, we said, "just the 2 of us", we were then ushered to a tiny table for 2. We were then asked what we would like to order, my daughter said she'd booked the afternoon tea, this was not in the book and the waitress did not know if they had the "fillings" in fact she challenged my daughter as to had she really booked the afternoon tea. She came back and said they could do it but it would take time, we said "no problem" we'll have the glass of Prosecco, chat and wait. "There's no Prosecco" came the reply, "Oh" I said, "why is there a stick drawing of a glass with bubbles coming out on the chalk board advertising the afternoon tea on the wall?" "Just to represent celebrations" was the reply. By now the waitress could see that my daughter was looking sad as she had organised, what she had hoped, would be a lovely mother and daughter outing. Me and my sister visited here on the (31/10/2016) for my sisters late birthday treat. My sister has a young baby, (3 months Thursday) so I wanted to ensure the tea rooms would be able to accommodate a large pram. I called the tea rooms around a month before we where due to visit, and they booked us in for Afternoon Tea.We arrived just before our booking around 12.20pm, to which, inside was only seated with 3 people, this was great for when your trying to get a sleepy baby to sleep, we had room to place the pram, out of the way which was good. Once seated we where greeted with a big pot of tea, and a large jug of water. Between the two of us we had: X4 - chutney and cheese sandwiches X4 - salmon and cream cheese sandwichesX4 - ham and cucumber sandwiches X1 - plain scone X1 - fruit scone (accompanied with Jam and fresh clotted cream) X2 - chocolate brownies X1 - lemon cake slice X1 - banana cake slice X1 - red velvet cake sliceAll the above cost £17.50 each, to which was plentiful, fresh and yummy! The staff, where attentive, friendly, and most welcoming, I couldn't fault them. We left, very full! And couldn't manage all the above, and we had the option to take the left overs home, to which we politely declined, as we possibly couldn't manage to move yet alone sniff another cake! Would definitely recommend anyone to come here, would say as the shop is rather small, it would be suggested not to come here in groups larger than 5+ unless booked in advance, as we where leaving it got rather busy. Best time to arrive is before 1pm. Had a lovely time! We will be back! Thanks again! Lois, Hayley and baby Charlie.

My wife had had a nice experience here so we thought an ideal place to stop with our 6 year old at the end of a short afternoon shopping trip to Reigate. Tea House looked busy and we were there a little while before closing time, door had "OPEN" sign up.We were just looking for a hot drink and a cake but immediately on entering we were headed off and politely although rather firmly told the café was closed. Can't believe a hot drink and cake would have been unthinkable but that question wasn't even asked.Would we go back, not really sure, lots of choices in Reigate.

Have been here a few times now. Although the menu isn't vast, the food is delicious. The usual sandwiches are offered along with paninis and flatbread, salads and cakes. It gets very busy so make sure you book a table. Waiting staff are always very friendly.

I've had afternoon tea here before and it was great. Plenty of food and everything was scrumptious! I met a friend for a quick cup of tea last Sunday. The choice of cakes was good - about eight to choose from. We had scones with cream and jam. They were the biggest and lightest scones I've ever had! Will definitely go back soon.

We decided to give this lovely looking establishment a try today we were not disappointed! We were lucky to get a table as it was lunchtime and it was busy. Even more lucky was the fact that we were able to order high tea despite not having pre booked (though I would recommend booking, particularly if you want to enjoy a high tea as they cannot always offer this on spec). We were asked if we had any dietary requirements and offered choices to accommodate these. There is also a large choice of hot beverages to accompany the food. The high tea was beautifully presented selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones, all homemade and fresh. But above all delicious!!!The lovely ladies who served us were so friendly and attentive. We left feeling we had experienced a very special treat with very full tummies and huge smiles on our faces. Cannot recommend this gem of a tea room highly enough. We will be back!!!

Tried to order soup - not available. Salad? Sorry, out of ingredients. Scones? We've served the last one. Joke. Avoid.

We got there at 2.45pm to be told, after looking at the menu for 5 minutes, that they stopped serving food other than toast or scones. When ordered scones we've been told that they run out scones. Left starving.

The Vintage Tea House is situated right in the centre of Reigate but it is small so lunch time has to be timed well or queued for, as their popularity quickly fills up the tables! The charming décor is surpassed by the friendliness of the staff. Whether you are just having a cuppa or eating, you can expect a lovely welcome. The food is always fresh and home cooked, as are delightful little cakes and nibbles which can be gift-wrapped if you are taking them away for friends. There are also little home décor items available to purchase, which are a delight to look at while you crook your pinkie at tea! This is the place to feel old-English charm, lovely snacks (the salads are highly recommended ), and sweet service.

Old fashioned tea house, serving a large selection of sandwiches, cake & drinks. Service was quick & attentive. The selection of food was imaginative & not just your bog standard cheese or ham sandwiches. I had a chicken & avocado wrap - stuffed full & very tasty. Small decorative salad & Pringles on the side. Individual tea cups makes it feel quaint rather, also lots of knick knacks being sold. Space is tight but not so you're on top of other people. Recommended that you book a table to avoid disappointment.

Not only a lovely atmosphere and gorgeous setting, but the food is never a disappointment. Often we ponder where we should go as in Reigate theres so many options and 9 times out of 10 end up here as we know that their salads are delicious and filling.

Another super find in Reigate peaceful , gentel little restaurant to have a cosy girlie chat over tea and delicious homemade cakes . Have never had a disappointing meal breakfast ,luncheon or afternoon tea,a peaceful interlude in an otherwise busy life. The staff are always charming and helpful even when busy and that seems like most of the time . To save disappointment I find it pays to book a table .

Beautiful place for tea and lunch. Old fashioned style with China tea pots and cups and saucers. Always busy. A great variety of food. Try the fish finger sandwich - not to be missed.

We booked a table for 6 for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's special birthday. Five of us arrived at the booked time, one of the group having been unable to join us at relatively short notice. We had no sooner sat down than we were told in no uncertain terms that we would be expected to pay for tea for 6 as we had failed to notify them in advance. Having no wish to spoil our friend's treat we agreed, but despite the nice sandwiches, scones and cakes and the lovely waiting staff, we felt we had been taken advantage of. A token charge would have been more customer friendly and encouraged a return visit.

Such a great spot to get off the high street. Grab lunch, breakfast, coffee and home made cake (and ice cream).I love that it’s owner run and not a chain or an investment business. Sit and eat and let your kids have fun, or enjoy the sounds of the other kids living it up! Dogs are welcome too. (Even big old Dalmatians !)

Having fully researched the area for our overnight stay to connecting flights this is my honest review: Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely softly spoken gentleman who showed us to our room and explained WiFi, separate bathroom facilities and check out procedures. We then had dinner in the establishment which was amazing, hot and fresh! Really please with our meal and the attentiveness of the staff! For the price this is a decent overnight stay for our flight. Highly recommended and will use again!

O café da manhã é muito bom. E o jantar foi melhor que muito restaurante de hotel por aí. Pedimos o mix de carnes. Foi ótimo.
