The best restaurants serving British food in Hayling West Havant South East

Visited this little gem whilst on holiday. Service was impeccable, food was brilliant and it just so cutely decorated. Would not hesitate to return when next in Hayling Island. Thank you

Popped in a few times for breakfast, drinks and ice creams. Perfectly situated for stopping off on walks up and down the beach, reasonably priced, and a friendly welcoming service. Would recommend!

Too much of a scramble to take food from buffet as there were no clear ways to queue. Food was of good standard with quite wide choice of dishes.

Attended the Hayling Hotrods at The Beach last night and we planned to have fish and chips. Quite a large order 8 people and a couple of dogs. They were kind enough to let us take the dogs into the funfair area seating. Ordering was easy and we didn't wait too long. Absolutely cracking fish and chips. Curry sauce was nice and the sausage definitely very tasty. Overall a lovely visit and we highly recommend 👌 😊

First time visit, most impressed with a great atmosphere

The food was excellent, best roast potatoes I've ever had. Nice pub, chilled atmosphere. Garden with playhouse for the children. The one thing that let's it down massively is they don't have any high chairs for the babies and toddlers? I had to try and eat with my 14 month old boy on my lap while feeding him also, which is a bit stressful and does ruin it slightly. I saw other parents/grandparents having to feed there toddlers in there buggies, and they all agreed when I spoke to them. Such a shame that just a few hundred pounds spent would make the place near on perfect. Would 100% go back there again if this little issue was sorted.

Typical greasy spoon, dirty kitchen the most grubbiest cleaning cloth being used on the coffee machine and sides. We ordered very simple dishes one of them being a plate of chips and we waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes and many tables were in the same situation as us some even complained. It is my opinion that if there is unreasonable waiting times the person taking your o should say how long on average you will be waiting, there were 3 people serving and cooking obviously don’t to pay out for more staff but they simply can’t cope with the numbers. Not one person had a hat or and spin on, how on earth they pass a health and hygiene inspection. Not any soap in the toilets either, personally we will not be returning there.

Has a food menu with plenty of choice as well as carvery. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Large car park . May need to book at busy times

Booked a table by email 1 month ago , and received confirmation of that email Arrived on Mother’s Day, And we weren’t even on the list for a table, So this lady who was organising the seating decided that she was gonna stick us right by the door and oncoming people traffic which to me is not acceptable so we complained saying that we did book this four weeks ago and the reply I got was it doesn’t matter when you booked it , so I didn’t like the attitude of this person. It’s like she didn’t wanna be there actual fact most of the staff in the restaurant that day apart from a couple didn’t even have a smile on their face , Mother’s Day meal was very disappointing. We had the triple roast and the meat was tough and dry and And tasted reheated as did the roast potatoes, so £107 later for our customand not happy at all not be visiting there again.
