Too much of a scramble to take food from buffet as there were no clear ways to queue. Food was of good standard with quite wide choice of dishes.

No allocated tables ,we were led to 4 different rooms to find a table. Self service dining and waiting staff bumping into residents who are trying to get back to there table with there food. Waiters talking to each other in there own language. Dirty glasses as well as water jugs and orange juice jugs. Food not acceptable, some foods off menu others were substituted for something entirely different.

The food was generally well cooked and presented and there was a good choice. The waiter service was a little patchy (and it wasn't clear at the outset what was served and what you collected from the buffet, although that is OK after the first time), and it was annoying to be refused water by a waitress because we weren't one of "her" tables - despite the fact she was standing next to us with a jugful of water! If I was on a long stay here, this would satisfy our needs, although I would definitley eat out on some evenings - try the Ferry Boat inn!

Table waiters/waitresses need to be retrained to provide good customer service. Out of the 24 different waiters/waitresses we had at our meals only 5 could be said to have provided a good service.

The food has much improved as has the service. Lots of choice and food now seems to be served much hotter than previously. Some descriptions of dishes are a bit misleading, but perhaps that is part of the surprise. My only comment is that the floor can be very slippery as I saw at least two people nearly slip over when just walking to their table.

High standard as always at Warner hotels restaurants. Many items from the kitchen at breakfast the choice is vast ... at dinner you can have a starter from the kitchen (the soup is always very well made) or the comprehensive salad bar. Plenty of varied vegetables in addition to meats of the day. Deserts give a very good choice too. Wine is available and they are top class. Always well cooked and presented.

The restaurant is well maintained and is well staffed. Breakfast is both self service and served should you wish to have something a little different from the extensive set out range. Breakfast has plenty of choice in both cold as well as hot items. The cook breakfast has a good variety and is well cooked and presented. my wife went for the cooked to order pancakes which looked and she told me were excellent. Good start to day with ample choice to keep your engine running until the evening meal which was again a choice between self service and waiter/waitress service of chef special meals. A choice of fish was always available as was the meat carvery with two meats per evening. For salad lovers the choice was impressive. All in all a good quality restaurant with lots of choice.

We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.Breakfast had lots of choice on the menu for set dishes but the main feature was the buffet. A variety of cereals was on offer along with fruits and yoghurts. There was, of course, a hot buffet with the usual fayre - hash browns, sausages, bacon, eggs and so on. Toast and tea/coffee was served by the waiter at the table. Also fruit juices and smoothies were available.Dinner was a three course affair - choices on the menu for both starters and mains were varied but the buffet was also available with pies, fish and carved meats. Desserts included pavlovas, crumbles, ice creams and so on.

Staff were friendly enough but service was very slow. Fish arrived in thick dark brown batter, chips were same colour- pizza was ok. The decor is a bit odd, they’ve tried to throw fairy lights at it but needs a bit of an overhaul- someone drew a tattoo on the mirror in the toilets to cheer them up but it just needed a good clean and maybe a lick of paint. Overall quite a disappointing experience.

The Driftwood restaurant is pleasant to sit in and again the staff very efficient and friendly. Over this last weekend we found that the food served from the kitchen was not up to its usual standard and in fact we sent back two meals, as did the people on the table next to us. We sent back ‘Beef Medallions’ which bore no resemblance to medallions and I could have put it on the sole of my boots and got some wear out of the meat. Not good. The other dish retuned was the pork, which again was so tough you could not cut it. The presentation of the food has definitely gone down, just plonked on the plate, and the ‘winter greens’ on the menu came up as very tired French beans!! Perhaps the chef needs to re-think what he puts on the menu and how it is served. Very disappointed with the food and we are not fussy eaters.

We had half board for 4 days. At breakfast there is a choice of cereals, juices, porridge and full English from a self-serve buffet, but there is also a menu with items such as scrambled eggs and salmon, kippers, Eggs Royale, poached eggs, and omelettes which are brought by your waiter. There is a different dinner menu each day, with a huge choice. There are several starters or soup of the day which are brought to your table. Then you can visit the buufet which has a superb salad bar, carvery and a 'themed' area which may be Indian, Italian etc. The fish special is also on the buffet - while we were there it featured red mullet, salmon and sea bass on different days. On top of this there are menu selections which are brought to your table - usually about 6-8 dishes including a couple of vegetarian options. (Although not vegetarians by principle, we opted for those on occasion because they were very interesting and tasty recipes.) There is usually a choice of four or five desserts, including 'pudding and custard' favourites. Again the selection changed each evening, and there was always a range of ice creams - we thought the Oriental Ginger was particularly good. We saw that snack meals were available from the bar at lunch time, but with such good breakfasts and dinners we didn't feel the need to try them.

We have just returned from an enjoyable break at Sinah Warren. In spite of ‘Storm Angus’ which made its presence felt on Saturday night, the daytime weather was not too bad, bit windy, but dry enough to get out.The weekend entertainment comprised a singer On Friday night – Kieran Sutcliffe – who was excellent. Beautiful voice, and a sense of humour as well and was well received by the audience. Good start to the weekend. Saturday night it was the turn of the wonderful Brian Conley who as usual brought the house down with his jokes, interactivity with the audience and his singing. Great entertainer and got a standing ovation which was well deserved. Also, it was good to see Will Sammes singing on stage again. Sunday night was the in house team, who are such a talented bunch of people. Working during the day, dancing and singing their socks off in the evening. Nightfall is a great show and different from the usual type of show put on by the team. The Sailaways are a very talented and versatile band with an equally talented singer Jana, lovely voice and very elegant dress on Saturday night. Loved it.The in house team singers gave a short concern on the Saturday, prior to the main event, which showed what depth of talent they have in the team. Sinah Warren is a great hotel, with lots to offer for those staying the weekend, no matter what the weather. Accommodation is good, clean and well-appointed with varying types of rooms depending on what you want. The basic rooms a quite comfortable and more than enough if you do not spend a lot of time in your room. My only comment would be the lack of light near the mirrors over the ‘dressing table’. Not easy to see what you are doing when putting the ‘slap’ on.The Driftwood restaurant is light and comfortable, with carvery sections for the range of foods on offer. Service is good and quick with plenty help if needed. The Café in the Lounge area has plenty of seats available and food can be brought to the table. The service can be a bit slow at times, needs a bit of sorting out at the main counter when ordering and paying for food, as the same people are preparing the drinks, so one extra person doing the drinks would make a difference. Good selection of food, but prices keep going up!!Bar staff in the Pavilion need to get it together when the bar gets busy. As soon as the queues start to form half of them seem to disappear. Those that remain do not seem to be enjoying their job at all and it shows..Would we return – yes we would and will be going back in January. Would recommend this hotel for whatever type of break you are looking, active or lazy.

We both had the carrot & coriander soup to start with a fresh roll and butter. It was not highly seasoned as is so often the case with soup so I really enjoyed the delightful flavour. Roast lamb for me accompanied by roast potatoes, broccoli, peas and carrots. All piping hot and well cooked (though the peas were a little too hard but that's a personal choice). My husband had the beef and said it was tender and delicious. We both had the white chocolate & lime mousse for desert but it was a very dense texture, more like a that of a cheesecake. The only lime was actually a coulis on the plate but it was well presented and we ate it all. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, though maybe a tad monotonous when asking every diner, at every course "Was that OK"? On the whole we had a very enjoyable lunch but the major snag for us was when the chef carving and serving the meat was seen wiping his nose on his apron. For me this is a definitely no-no. Please, if you are serving people, make a point of using a handkerchief and then washing your hands. Urgh.

The main course is a carvery and you can go back for more meat if you would like. The pork, turkey and sea bass were delicious today and as good as the food was six months ago when we last went. What is so good about Sumptuous Sinah is the the price is fair, the staff are all pleasant and polite (thank you Yvonna) and the food is both plentiful and tasty. Thank you Sinah

We booked a table in the restaurant for a family Father's Day meal,12 people. It was £11.95 each for a 3 course meal.We bought drinks from the bar, white wine, red wine a large bottle of warm, unfortunately, sparkling water.Went to the restaurant and ordered our food.Bread and butter was served...the bread was insignificant...The starters.....arrived...they were all stone cold!Cold soup, cold croquet, all tasteless and greasy. It was now near 2 pm and the restaurant almost empty,so no excuses, just careless chefs. The main courses, all roast dinners, were just not good enough, but fabulous for our 6 dogs.I have never gone home after a meal out ,in my entire life, with so much dry, hard ,old, chewy, over cooked meat that was not eaten and left by everyone at the table in the plates. It was awful meat!Old!Old like the this place customers !The average customer age in this place is over 70 and I can only guess that they love this food because their dead palates cannot distinguish anymore, bad old food from fresh and tasty. Also in this particular hotel kids are banned!I will never go back there to be parted with money to eat substandard motorway style food.Shame because the structure and the surroundings are really good.On our return home the dogs loved the meat but almost chocked on the dry beef ! Our old Yorkshire Terrier had to be smacked on his back when the chicken got stuck in his throat to be dislodged!!The desserts were frozen....of poor quality too! This meal out left :12 people hungry and an old terrier with a near death experience!NEVER AGAIN!

We telephoned in the morning to book a table and the receptionist took our reservation without delay. We arrived at 12.30 and were greeted by pleasant staff who were happy to alter the table where we were to be sitting ... I fancied a window seat and they obliged without making an issue. Our waiter was attentive throughout and brought a fresh jug of water without being asked. The starters arrived quickly - melon in a mint juice for me (a very small offering but I'm not big on starters anyway) and tomato soup for my husband which was piping hot. A choice of meat from the carvery and a "help-yourself" selection of roast and new potatoes, cabbage, carrots and cauliflower. I felt slightly "conned" by the fact the plates were not regular dinner plate size but in fact a smaller version, so whilst it appeared patrons' plates were piled high with food, it was probably no more than one would expect to be served on a normal dinner plate. For pudding I chose the lemon tart which was fresh and tangy and my husband had apple & cinnamon crumble with custard, again piping hot. The restaurant is very big but well laid out although had the tables next to us been occupied it would have been uncomfortably "snug" and one would not have been able to engage in a private conversation. However, the atmosphere was pleasant and the overall experience was good.

I am truly amazed at the reviews saying how good the food is.For me every course, including the disgusting stale bread offered, was totally inedible. The staff as always at Sinah, were delightful. Such a shame, as the place is spotless, beautifully laid tables etc, however the food and the truly appalling behaviour of some of the older people also eating, shoving and grabbing, means I would rather forage in the grounds than subject myself to that again..

I booked this restaurant as a meal for my husband and I plus our 3 daughters (late teens) as a treat for my birthday and I can honestly say that it was the best carvery and one of the best dining experiences we have experienced.I'd had a particularly hectic Christmas looking after everyone else so it was a real treat for me to be waited on by others. We were shown to our table which was elegantly dressed, located in a pleasant area and close to the carvery, so not too far to walk. Our waitress took our order for our starters which comprised of Home made Tomato and Basil Soup (thick, creamy and lush), Pheasant Pate with Potato and Onion Salad and Toast (delectable), Smokey Cheesecake (a light salmon mouse on a crushed biscuit base - utterly divine) and a Melon Cocktail (ideal for my daughter who has the appetite of a sparrow). Drinks were ordered too and promptly delivered to our table as was the free table water. After our starters we made our way to the carvery where a selection of Beef, Lamb, Turkey and Pork was carved fresh for us. We were then able to help ourselves to a selection of potatoes and vegetables from beneath silver closhes' all of which had been hand prepared and freshly cooked. The meat just melted in your mouth and the lamb was the best lamb I had ever had in a restaurant. Even my picky, sparrow appetite daughter tucked in and said how lovely her food was. Wow!For desert we chose Apple and Pear Crumble with Custard, Baileys Cheescake, Jaffa Cake Ice Cream in a Brandy Snap Basket and Blueberry Cheesecake. All of which were superbly presented on slates (apart from the crumble as the custard would have sploshed everywhere) and all home made. The cost of this lovely 3 course meal was £11.95 per head (exluding drinks) and in all our opinion it was excellent value for money and worth every penny. I know that vegetarian and special dietary food was available as well as the carvery. The restaurant is located inside the Sinah Warren Hotel. Parking is available (free) on site and there is disabled access and suitable tables for wheelchair users (disabled toilets too). The hotel is an old but first class building but the Driftwood Restaurant has a light, clean, modern and contemporary design. We felt relaxed and unhurried during our meal and noticed that the dress code was 'anything ' from casual to smart suits and dresses (more the mature generation opting for this). After our meal, we relaxed some more in the hotel's coffee shop but this was our choice as coffee would have been served to our table in the restaurant had we wanted it to be.I had thought that the Sunday Carvery was only available to guests staying at the hotel but anyone is able to come along and enjoy it. Booking is recommended and children may enjoy the carvery too (cost £9.95). Just to point out though - the hotel itself is adults only so whilst children are able to enter Restaurant they cannot access any other part of the hotel. Will I go back - oh yes! Every Sunday if I could. It is ideal for a casual Sunday lunch or a special occasion and I definatly will not be waiting until my birthday to return.A massive thanks to all the team and the chef(s) who made our experience so tasty and enjoyable.

Three major 'holiday camps' survive on the Island, where once there were five. Two have disappeared, replaced by housing and two have changed their names, but Sinah Warren remains! There was a series of night clubs on the site, which I visited in my younger days and I used to frequent the place with my parents and their friends over the years. I have also seen some good musical acts, including Humphrey Littleton and Helen Shapiro, as well as some forgettable variety shows. However, the only reason to visit these days seems to be their Sunday Carvery, formerly unique on the Island, but now with quite a bit of competition. It used to be a treat, but now has lost its novelty for me. So, when I was recently asked to join some friends for lunch there, it was with some reluctance, I'm afraid, since I knew what to expect!Sadly, my fears were justified, as the roast carvery itself, with same old variety of meat, veg and condiments was provided, with the quality no more than average. However, they do offer three courses, unlike most of the competition and my starter and dessert were excellent, justifying the higher price than other places on the Island. Two out of three ain't bad!The service was also excellent ,

I visited as a non-resident for Sunday lunch with 5 other people and we all thought this restaurant provided great value for money. We'd booked a table for 1.30pm and when we first arrived there was a long queue for the carvery. We needn't have worried because both drinks and starters was done by waiter service. By the time we had completed our starters there was no queue at all for the main course of Carvery. Dessert orders were also taken by waiter service. The quality of the food was very good although the menu choices were somewhat restrictive. Overall I thought the meal was excellent value - under £12 per person for a three course meal is very reasonable - and I'd happily visit again.

The Breakfasts were fabulous with everything you could want including freshly done pancakes and lovely porridge. Waitress service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Evening meal not as good. Carvery fine but roast beef two nights out of four. Calves liver nothing of the sort. Instant mash! RTher than try to be fancy would be good to concentrate on the staple as and do them well, e.g fish and chips, meat pie, chilli con carne, lasagne, pork chop, improve salad bar ie provide ham, cheese and boiled egg. For starters nice prawn cocktail, normal pate, soup, melon forget the weird sounding stuff. More meals to table could cut down on waste and probably help the budget. Older people don't want buffet style they like to be served at th table a and so do I!

Having previously had a good experience, my 90 year old mum and I went for lunch. We ordered prawn salads with falafel and humus from the menu. The last two items were missing on our plates, but when queried we were told that nobody ordered those so they didn't have any! We asked for an alternative and were given half a slice of bread each! I then found a hair in my salad, but when I reported this, I was told that the kitchen staff had dark hair so it wasn't theirs! I was too stunned to reply! Then I was told we couldn't expect a refund, because the hair wasn't theirs. I explained we didn't want a refund, just an apology. Never again!

Chose this eatery as it looked nice from the outside. Opted for the liver and bacon on mash potato, ample portion and cooked to perfection, very tasty, washed down with a cup of tea. Dessert was sponge and custard, lovely and more than ample custard. So impressed I took away a large piece of their quiche and a couple of cheese scones for later, also good. Great staff/service at this venue and will definitely return to try the breakfast .

Popped in a few times for breakfast, drinks and ice creams. Perfectly situated for stopping off on walks up and down the beach, reasonably priced, and a friendly welcoming service. Would recommend!

A great little spot for a very good cup of coffee and a snack. Has a little group of picnic tables. The price for the coffee is reasonable.
