The best restaurants serving British food in Eastbourne South East

Fantastic friendly atmosphere... well recommended

We have visited Eastbourne once a year for several years and always visit The Town House, partly because it was nearest our hotel but mainly for the music and vibe. In 2022 we found it quiet, in 2023 it was closed, albeit temporarily. This year, May Bank Holiday, it was open but quiet and no atmosphere. We'll try again next year.

I used to come here 50+ years ago when it was a steak house... prawn cocktail, steak n chips, then Black Forest Gateau for about £2.50!. My oldest sister had her wedding reception in the upstair function room!!! Now a lovely pub / gastro pub. Good real ale selection. Had to have Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter. Madge had a local wine, only £11 a glass. Casta should take her home to Spain.

Always usually ontime. Food is hot on arrival.

Visited Sovereign Harbour Harvester lunchtime 15th April was expecting a great experience after a Refurbishment but was very disappointed a few new tables inside and out but old umbrellas covered in green mould. The restaurant was about two thirds capacity so expecting good service how wrong 2 adults and 2 teenagers we had to wait 1 hour for our food to arrive and then an other hour for desert with spoons thrown on the table. Other groups around us had the same wait similarly tinesfor their food to arrive telling arriving guests "don't bother we have been waiting over hour for our food" As a shareholder it disappoints me to say avoid Sovereign Harbour until more staff and qualified managers are employed unless you are happy to have a long wait.

What a dump, sticky tables dirty toilets, no atmosphere go upstairs and get a warm welcome and a decent beer, go here and you will regret it for sure

would leave 0 stars if i could, called the restaurant prior to ordering to see if the type of pizza is the same as the just eat images (will attach photos) he said yes and took payment over the phone. arrived and was given what seems to be 3 asda pizzas but was charged £25 for them! took them straight back in and told the owner he had lied about the pizzas and he refused to refund. beware and don’t use this restaurant, biggest waste of money not even edible.

My wife and I were in Eastbourne shopping and decided to have a drink and Sandwich while in this store. Sorry to say customer service was appealing. No one to guide you Picked up Ham sandwich Just that a piece of ham Margarine and two slices of white bread Bland tasteless and what can I say " yuk" Went to a machine which I selected Chocolate and a Lattee Sorry chocolate was like drinking warm yes warm milk Lattee was just warm milk and water Sorry I cannot recommend this place for a bite to eat and drink

We only had chips so can not comment on any else but they wee soggy and the oil definitely needs changing as the chips were covered in black bits! Won't be going back!

Pescado y patatas fritas anunciados en el exterior @ 6. 90 (con una bebida). . . aunque había una pequeña letra pequeña, así que no nos molestamos en preguntar cuándo nos cobraron 8. 95 sin bebida. La comida era pasable. En definitiva muy poco valor.
