Atún: mamá y yo no me gusta.

! ! ! Eso es todo lo que necesito decir.

Booked for one night but wish I hadn't! Very shabby hotel in need of serious redecorating and the configuration of the bedrooms looked at as the tiny shower and toilet is totally unacceptable! I'm not very big but struggled to clean my teeth with my elbows touched the walls! The outside steps into the hotel are dangerous on a wet day as well, thank god there was handrails. The mess outside the bedroom window with fag ends, tissues and plastic cups was also unacceptable! However the bed was comfy and the view across the beach was lovely.

We were treated to an afternoon tea and chose the Hilton Royal Parade Restaurant. We sat in the conservatory with delightful views of the sea and the pier. The conservatory was a little tired and cold do with some TLC but it was comfortable. The afternoon tea was plentiful with copious amounts of tea that cold have been a little hotter. The sandwiches were not as fresh as they could have been although a pleasant selection. However the scones, jam and cream and the large slices of cake were definitely the icing on the cake so to speak. All in all I couldn't rate higher than average but with a little effort that would easily go up.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in the room was small couldn't open the windows the meals were disgusting. And although we told the staff it was a special gift they couldn't have cared less . just one member of staff apologised and actually offered us a free drink. Won't ever go again avoid at all costs

I was so looking forward to a lovely afternoon tea for two, it was through a birthday present from my sister in law with the living social deal. My fella and I arrived to a scruffy looking hotel and once we found our way to the reception (there are no signs) we were greeted by a grumpy man and a lady eating her lunch at the reception desk. Upon showing them my voucher and telling them we were here for tea, we were told by mr grumpy that we'd missed our slot and should have been there an hour earlier. after much deliberation we were eventually shown through to a sun room and took our seats. as for the food, the sandwiches were dry with little filling and the two offerings of cake looked like leftover pudding from the night before. The only saving grace was the prosecco and the scones. Sorry if this is a bit long winded but if this stops anyone else wasting their money on the afternoon tea deal at this hotel, then all the better!

Nice hotel opposite the sea but couldn't find reception! Staff not that friendly but service and rooms comfortable and offered the basic facilities. Breakfast good but dinner poor with not a lot of choice when we arrived. Lovely seating area with books to read near reception and pleasant sunny seating area in the front garden.

When we arrived at the hotel and booked in it looked good and impressive. Sadly once you left the arrival area and saw our rooms it was a disaster, the rooms smelled steal and dirty. The up side the staff were friendly and a particular member of the staff did her best to change our rooms and give us a reasonable room where we were able to relax. Requires a lot of attention in regards to decent rooms with WiFi which is only limited to public areas. Could go on about items such as cracked floor tiles, shower head broken and door sticking but I have a life and that would take too much of my time.

Firstly, I work in Travel and have done for nearly 20 years, this is NOT a Hilton property....it's not part of the Hilton chain and those whinging its "not up to Hilton standards" need to recognise it's because it isn't!!!! Go look at Hilton.com and our closest is Arundel or Gatwick. Sorry, rant over.. To my review... I only had Afternoon Tea with my mum on the Living Social deal and after booking, read the reviews. To say we were dreading coming wouldn't be a lie but we were very pleasantly surprised. We chose to sit in the sunroom which was very hot but the waiter opened the windows for us. The food was tasty, perhaps not the best quality or prettiest but we left happy and full. The glass of Prosecco was very nice too. One point to the management, an elderly woman in front of us enquires about a single room for that night and was told £85 - when she said she usually paid about £50 she was told she could probably find something cheaper elsewhere. Hardly great customer service turning away a repeat guest. You obviously had room. I think a little more training on the front desk would boost your sales!!

Like a cross between school dinners and hospital food. You could suck most of it through a straw. Over cooked vegetables and tinned fruit.

It’s a free meal with your stay so it is not going to be high end food standards. Hot and enough of it to satisfy a adult male. Choice is not great for the vegetarians. Chicken or fish and chips or a salad. I think there was other options if you weren't of the deal rate for the room. Or you could move next door (part of the same building) and sit in the full indian restaurant

Went there with fiends limited menu but at £12.50 seemed ok, that was before the food arrived, First course was tomato soup that did not taste of tomato parsnips and potato maybe. If there was cream in it it had split. The mains was Fish and chips, This was possible the worse fish and chips i have had. I have had better hospital food than this. Pudding was Ice cream that had no flavour. Then to top it all we did not receive our coffee and all the staff had vanished. The staff treated us as if we should not be there. Very poor service and even worse food. PLEASE GIVE THIS ONE A MISS.

There was nothing about this seafront Hotel I liked except the view from my room. The service was substandard, hardly any Christmas decorations, unimaginative and minimal food, insolent and uncaring bar staff, decrepit mattress, dingy corridors, shabby rooms and hardly any tea or milk in the room. This Hotel has hard to access lifts and surely must raise Health and Safety issues regarding Fire Drills

My daughter took me here for a cream tea and it was just awful. We were seated in loungers in the front conservatory which was not conducive to eating a tea. I was given a cup of lukewarm coffee with no option of a refill. The scones were dry with plastic individual portions of jam, the cake was very small squares of shop-bought sponge the flavour of which was not discernible but the colour suggested it was meant to be chocolate. The sandwiches were not presented well, just made and cut into triangles, crusts and all, made with white 'plastic' bread and the fillings were strange. The chap who served us explained that he had run out of the usual cake-stands as 'the chef had broken it this morning'. Very unpleasant experience and I felt so bad for my daughter who had thought that she was doing something lovely for me. When she raised issues with the hotel, they were really not bothered so obviously, they have enough custom without us which is great because I would definitely not wish to go back.

Even though we were on a Groupon deal this was the worst Cream Tea ever!! Had to wait ages in the bar that was in darkness! When it finally appeared, it was made up of cheese and ham (both of which we had in the fridge at home) sandwiches made up on the smallest sliced loaf ever!! We weren't given any choice of fillings or whether we'd like brown or white bread!!! Base of one of the three tiered stands had been removed and literally spun round the table!! Scones were ok but the selection of little cakes were weirdly cut up bits of other cakes. Table wasn't big enough to take the t-pot, cups & milk jug, so waiter had to haul another table over. Tea pot wasn't big enough for two small cups each, for the three of us!!!! My daughter wasn't on the Groupon deal, so we had to pay for hers which came to a penny off of £10.00.

Hotel was basic and in room 204 there was a hole in the floor which the bed was made to cover. In room 203 there is an extension lead that runs across the room which you trip over. We was told when we booked that our rooms will be next to each other which they are in numerical order however not in the actual hotel. We parked down a side street which was free. Reception just checked you in and did not ask if you wanted any local information etc. My mum has come out in a horrible rash from head to toe and we are awaiting to find out what it is!

We were given this as a Anniversary gift a nice gesture from a friend. The cream tea was disappointing. It took Twenty five minutes to serve us, which would be understandable if it had been freshly made cream tea, but only the tea was fresh . The sandwiches were pre-prepared as the bread was dry on top, as if it had been left out. The scones were the saving grace, otherwise we would have been hungry. Nice, but not enough jam. The excuse for what was called assorted miniature cakes, was just cutoffs of old cakes, I think, not actual cakes as advertised, and tasted dreadful. The cutlery was water marked, the teapot was a bad pourer and the table not even big enough to hold everything, so the teapot and milk jug had to be put on the window sill. Not very professional. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we asked if we could be served outside and take in the sea view, but were told it was not possible because of seagulls. So we had to take the cream tea in a stuffy conservatory which had no AC. The seats though comfortable, were so low you could not see the view from a seated position. The toilets are old and tired, and my wife said in the ladies there was a unpleasant smell . If it had not been a gift I certainly would have complained. The Eastbourne Hilton has certainly tarnished my normal vision of Hilton hotels, and certainly spoiled what had up until the tea, a great anniversary day. Would certainly NOT RECOMMEND.

Wouldn't recommend this, we weren't expecting anything amazing of the groupon deal for 2 for afternoon tea. But we did laugh...we thought 'this is just our luck' scones were lovely but shame there was hardly any jam or cream to go with them & as for the cakes it was described as a 'assorted miniture cakes' and we could only describe them as the night before leftovers of 2 types of sponge about 1 mouthful each & couldn't work out what they were meant to be. We sure left the cake...which is very unlike us!!

Ordered two lattes, one cappuccino, one pot of tea, two tea cakes, two croissants. Served one latte, one cappuccino, one pot of tea (no milk), one tea cake, one croissant. When I asked about it, was told “we’re busy”. “You want milk with your tea?” As it turned out the order had gone through wrong so I hadn’t paid for the missing items. Told them not to bother as there was “a long wait for food”! Oh and no jam with either cake. Looking at previous reviews we won’t be using the toilets.

Owner lied about what pizza he does. He told us it was the same as the photos on just eat and what a silly lie that was. He then went on to take the payment first. As i turned up to the restaurant i collected the pizzas and opened the boxes and they looked nothing a like the pizzas we were told that we ordered. I then respectfully asked for a refund as not only did he make the wrong pizzas he lied. He then went on to be aggressive and rude by demanding theyre not different and if it is becasue “the basil isnt on top”. He is a rude old man who is a liar and im warning all of you to not order anything from there!!! Photos to follow: Do not order from here. Honestly the one star rating is generous

This pub/ restaurant has a superb atmosphere and a wonderful choice of foods, without the menu being daunting. They always manage to turn out 3 or 4 daily specials which, really are, special. Tonight my son went for the ribs and he was so happy that he did. Superb service too, well done Drew and team with a big shout out to Cara, the manager this evening.
